I went to this location because I needed nails for my bridal portraits and my regular salon was closed. I asked for ombré French nails using dip; which I know is hard to come by. They said the couldn't do that with dip so I asked if they could do a regular French tip with dip. The older gentleman in the salon stated that he could do regular French tip look with dip powder, so I agreed to that. He began prepping my nails but did not ask what shape I wanted so I thought he would do that later. He began the dip process to create the French tip and had some issues on a few nails which caused the powder to become thick and bulky. Instead of him starting over he tried to salvage them. Long story short, I figured the nails would look mediocre just from watching the dip process and I was right. They were a bit misshapen, lumpy, and very thick. I was never asked what shape I wanted and for this general purpose, I just needed some nails that would photograph well enough that photoshop could assist. The total for my nails was $50 if anyone is wondering. This place used to be such a great place with workers who did excellent work, but there was a change of management around 2017-2018 and it has not been the same quality since. I'm sure they can do basic acrylics and manicures well (I did not experience a pedi) but specialized attention to detail is not an attribute that I observed in the last few times I've been since new management (this includes a long period of time between trying them after new management until now). read more

Speaking for my wife's experience: Worst nail experience of my life! I don't get my nails done often and don't know all the correct techniques. I always wear my natural nails but a couple of them had broken off. I wanted to get extensions but not acrylics. When I did my research, I thought gel X would be a better option for me. I called ahead to set an appointment and to see if they did GelX. The technician on the phone said it was best to come in so she could see my nails. From the moment I walked in I felt uncomfortable. The older male technician looked at me like I walked on his new carpet with muddy shoes. He sat across the room and asked if I needed help. I told him I wanted a manicure and began looking at the menu to make sure they had want I wanted. I asked him if the gel builder from the menu was the same thing as GelX and if it could be used for nail extensions. He did not understand me. At the same time the technician I spoke to on the phone came over. I showed her my nails and explained everything again. She agreed that the gel builder was a good option for me, she said extensions could be added on the broken nails, but the other ones looked good. I even showed both of them a picture of exactly what I wanted. I was so happy that I would be able to get the look I wanted. I sat down in the chair to get my nails done by the male technician. Once I sat down he never had an ounce of customer service. He didn't ask how I wanted my nail shape, he didn't ask what I previously had on my nails. He just went in with a buffer and started taking the polish off. I didn't like this. I was worried that it would really damage my nails, but I didn't say anything. After he removed the polish he looked at my nails and said "Eh-your nails are all uneven do you want me to add extensions to them." I said yes assuming he was referring to our earlier conversation. Dude pulls out the box of acrylic tips for me. I explained again what I was looking for and re-asked about the gel builder. After stripping my nails, he says that the gel builder cannot be used for extensions. At this point, I realized I would not get the look I wanted and was was ready to go. The technician never offered another option or suggestion. He just sat there and looked at me crazy. I didn't want to walk out with my nails half done so I opted for a simple manicure and polish. Technician reply's with "Oh now you want a manicure" the manicure was done like he didn't want to touch my hands. Dipped it in a little solution, did my cuticles, put a lil lotion on it, washed it off. When it came to the color, he literally slammed the guide on the table next to me. When he brought back the polish, the package said gel polish. I asked him if it was regular polish. He said yes, I asked again just to be sure. He got loud and said Gel Polish/Regular Polish while pointing to each bottle in the package. I did not know that they come in the same package. After that I changed my mind. I got a clear polish to get out asap. The technician made me pay before he would put the clear polish on. And he ended up leaving for a smoke before my nails finished drying. This place just recently remodeled and got new management. The quality of service here is now AMAZING! Right when I walked in the place was very clean and organized. The pedicure chairs were lined with plastic liners! This is really important to me because then I know my pedicure is clean! They had lots of pedicures to choose from so I chose their deluxe jelly because... why not treat myself! The jellies were very fun to see and moisturized my legs. The pedicure smelled amazing and they got rid of all my dry dead skin! I also got my eyebrows and nails done! They have matching set polish so I was able to get gel nails and regular polish on my toes in the exact same color! Really neat and useful! read more

This is your standard nail salon -- not too much to tell. No, you don't need a reservation, but yes, they do take them if you're so inclined. I'm still getting used to how pricey it is to do one's nails here in NC as compared to back in Jersey (Lawd, I miss my $20 mani/pedis... and we're talking GOOD mani/ pedis, too!), so I'm not the best person to talk with about cost... but I'll tell you what does stand out for me here: - This Nail Spa location takes credit cards, whereas their location up by the Super Target does not. - You don't have to tell them ahead of time that you want to put your tip on the card. They give you the neat little line on the receipt like you'd get at a restaurant. Snaps for that, as I am inevitably the person who forgets to hit the ATM before heading in. - I've never had to wait an unreasonably long time here. IMO there are few things worse than having them seat you in a pedi chair, then letting your feet get all pruney because they were still 45 minutes out from trimming down the talons of a customer with 7 inch long nails. Or something like that. - If you're a powder-gel girl: You have the option of the regular pink/ white, or pink/ white with a little sparkle in them. This is a great option, as the sparkle makes any little lines from a fill-in less noticeable. They also have sparkly red powder. Snazzy. - A stable team. I'm one of those people that likes familiar faces. I also like not having to tell a new person every time I go that I like my nails squared, toe nails cut as short as possible, yadda yadda. - You can access Hibachi Express's free wi-fi signal from here. Just saying... if you have the option of working while getting a pedicure, then why not do it, amirite? All in all, Nail Spa is my convenient go-to spot, since it's near my gym and home. If you can swing it, always opt for the deluxe mani and pedi, so that you'll get some paraffin-softened goodness coming your way. read more

Came in on a weekday and I was serviced right away. I got a manicure and pedicure combo and loved it. My pedicure came with a paraffin foot soak and I can really tell that it works. My boyfriend wont stop telling my how soft my feet are, maybe I can convince him to go with my next time. This place is great and I'm so glad my coworker recommended it to me. I attempted to go to this nail salon a few months ago when I first moved to the area and couldn't remember why I never went back until today.. On top of the fill-in price, they attempted to add on a additional $5 for the shape of my nails (mind you, they were already shaped, I did not ask them to reshape) and $3 for the length (they aren't super long, slightly longer than what people would consider average).. No other nail salon has ever mentioned anything like this. I remember having a similar issue when I came here in March.. I was excited to see under new management. I went with my son (3) and my mom. As my son and mom sat in the waiting area, I thought I could get a quick pedi because I was in hurry. Didn't wait long at all and was able to sit. There is not much communication though everybody speaks English. They all just look at you and don't smile. My son got a little anxious and I asked him to sit with me until I finished my pedi. There wasn't much time left. The tech doing my pedi told my son and that if he didn't keep quiet, they would call the police and take him away. I immediately told him that my son had no concept of why the police would be called and that the comment was not necessary. In sight of the recent reputation the police has, his comment was totally out of place and it showed the lack of training they have with customer service. The actual pedi was good but the overall service was horrible. They are not friendly, at least my tech was not, and definitely not child friendly. As a parent, sometimes I need to have my children with me when I go to a salon in between my errands. The salon had an "A" rating but it was not esthetically beautiful. However, that doesn't really matter to me as long as it is a clean environment. It was clean but the equipment was dated and obviously lots of wear and tear. Not a place I would recommend even though their prices are fair right now. You get what you pay for. read more

Convenient location, nice enough staff and ease of getting an appointment (just walk in) does not make up for lousy quality. On a recent visit, I watched the staff take bottles of dried up old polish and add lots of solvents to it so they "stretch" the polish. The result is that I wasted my money on a manicure because the solvents they use apparently prevent the polish from drying in less than 7 or 8 hours. Of course, my manicure was ruined long before that, and I had to remove it as soon as I got home from Nail Spa. The cost of an actual bottle of nail polish is so minimal, you can skimp on all kinds of extras like buying cheap lotion or other supplies. But to skimp on the polish? REALLY???? I'm done. You might wish to reconsider as well. Or maybe bring your own polish.... I marked the price range as "ultra high end" which means I overpaid for something I can't use, not that it's really high class or good quality. It's a complete waste of money. read more

WORSE PEDICURE EVER!!!! Thought I would give this place a shot for a pedicure since I have started having my nails done here. Employee was working so fast she almost cut me, cleaned her utensils right next to my feet in the bowl. and then the bowl itself eeekkkk. I wasn't even sure what she was doing until I looked down.Not to mention I am waiting on her to finish my pedicure. Didn't file long enough to make a difference so I asked her to refile, she continued to polish so I asked her again and then she filed as if she were aggitated with me. At one point I asked for the clippers to work on myself. The polish job was horrible and when I asked her to re-do she tried telling it was because my toenails weren't even?? Really because they were when I came in. She did finally re-polish after yelling at me. Then she walked away and said I cannot make you happy. I asked for the manager as I was attempting to pay and the manager was just as rude as the other person. She stated that "just because I didn't get what I asked for" that I still had to pay full price. She did not understand why I was upset. REALLY??? "Johnny"So he pulls out an electric drill and fires away at my poor broken toe nail.. With visible dried blood under neath my nail. I was unable to sit near my 2 daughters (5 and 11) as they got their nails done because I didn't get a service too. Keep in mind I sat there for 2.5 hours because the guy that started was the worst nail tech. His sister tried to correct the problem by painting over what he did, and they still were terrible. I didn't have time to let her redo it all so I left. I went back to get it redone and they wouldn't do it for free. They stated they would only do It for half off. SOooo sad that they wouldn't take care of a customer who sat there patiently for 2.5 hours to get a gel polish. No manicure..just POLISH. AND they wouldn't let me talk to the owner. The place was not very clean, the equipment appeared very old and worn out.
