I usually never get my nails done... Being viet.. There's always an opportunity to get my nails…read moredone for free. My mom's friends usually hook it up. Well it was one of those days when I just wanted to pamper myself and not wait for a chance to get it done for free. So I decided to go to the closest nail salon to me. I didn't know it would be that terrible... First when I walk in... The youngest lady in there asks me if I want a full set... And I said yes. Keep in mind that I have NEVER gone to a nail salon before and so I had no idea what she was talking about. I thought that she meant I wanted to get my full set of nails done? I thought it was how you say manicure. Honestly when I get it done for free, they just ask me what color and that's all. So the lady proceeds to talk to the other ladies in Vietnamese telling them what I had ordered. I was with my friend at the time and she was getting her eyebrows done and they asked her if she wanted a full set too, and I think she said yes by mistake. It was an honest mistake, and nothing to make a big deal out of... Yet the lady would not let it go. It was beginning to annoy me. She was talking about us Un Vietnamese... Not considering the fact that I could be Vietnamese. I understood every single word she said and therefore that pissed me off even more. She kept complaining about how we said we wanted a full set but now we just want a manicure? Like seriously... What do you care? She wasn't even doing my nails. Anyways... I got my eyebrows done too. This was a horrible mistake. I told them I didn't want mine too thin because I don't look good with thin eyebrows... So they barely waxed anything off... It looked like how it did before. So I was even more pissed off... Then we got to the manicure... The lady was doing my nails and I tried to ask her a question but she didn't really know any English. I didn't want to blow my cover of being Vietnamese yet so I just let it be. As she finished my nails, I studied them to see how well she did it. They were so terrible... She did not clean up for me, nail polish was everywhere on my hands. And on the sides of my nails. Also some of the nails were not even painted all the way through. Like there were spaces of just my nail... And I was like really? Wtf? And when she was applying the top coat.. She messed up one nail... Did not even bother to fix it. So I was extremely pissed with the results... But I honestly don't know why I tipped because the service was horrible. At the end though when I was just waiting for my friend to be done, my mom called and I spoke to her in Vietnamese. Those ladies faces were priceless. That's right I heard what you were saying about me the whole time. They are so rude. They ruined my first nail salon experience and gave me the worst manicure ever. Even my friend who only recently learned how to do nails, has done it better. He always does a good job and fixes his mistakes. He also makes sure everything is clean for me. That's how it should be done. Never coming back ever again. Don't waste your money. I spent like $30...and it was so not worth it.

But over the past year or so I have noticed a sharp decline in service and quality of work. Also, I do not recommend getting your eyebrows waxed here unless you want very thin un-natural lines. I learned this the hard way about a month before my wedding. I have been cut a few times getting a mani/fill, which doesn't bother me nearly as much as the one time the lady giving me a pedi rubbed my foot raw with the pumice stone because she wasn't paying attention. I kept going back mainly because of the price and the convenient location. The last straw however, was when I decided I wanted a full set of acrylics and they were so bad I actually had them soaked off at another salon the very next day. I probably won't be coming back.

I have done plenty of sets and had a few technicians really mess up on the red polish to where it still shows when done.
