Truly-I've been to other people, they were good but Lesli is fantastic. It almost pains me to recommend her because I don't want to have a harder time getting an appointment with her...but ladies, do yourself a favor and call this business and ask to be placed with Lesli. The only negative I have about this location is the new front desk staff. They are not personable and interested. The name says it all. AMAZING. I have been getting my lashes done for about 3 years (NYC and Chicago) and this studio is by far the best I have ever been to! The staff is Amazing. So friendly and so genuine. They are all highly professional and know their stuff!! I recently had Kara and Lily as a tech, and they are so precise and achieve the exact look that I wanted!! Very calm and comfortable experience while you get your lashes done, stylists are gentle and efficient. Second time going. Different person applying lashes. Same results: fall out. Within two days my lashes are less than half as full as they were when I got them. I had lash extensions several years ago and LOVED them! I was excited to start getting them done again and booked a new client appoint with Samantha. The front desk staff was very helpful and super sweet. I was booked with Samantha for my first full set. She was very professional and nice. I told her I wanted my lashes just slightly longer than my natural lashes. The entire appointment took over two hours and I felt that she took her time and seemed to be very detailed. When I got up to look at my lashes, I was shocked at how long they were. It was way longer than I expected but I also knew that it was something different and I may have to just get used to it. I got home and my husband said "wow, those are very long". I told him they seemed too long and he said that I should go back and ask them to trim them down. I decided to give it a few days. At work, a comment was made that my eyelashes looked like they were combing my eyebrows. Truth be told, they were long enough to touch my eyebrows. I decided that I would wait until my refill in two weeks and ask that they be trimmed and the new ones be made shorter. When I left, I was booked with Lisa, a senior stylist. I felt better getting someone that had more experience as Samantha stated she was new. She did a great job with the application of the lashes, they were just not what I asked for or expected. As a result, I held off on committing to the membership that I expected I would get when I booked the appt. Two weeks later....I went to my refill appt to find out I was scheduled with someone named Alex. I was a little confused because I was booked with Lisa and no one called, texted, or emailed to tell me that there was a change. Alex, again, was very nice. I told her I'd like them trimmed and the new ones shorter. She stated that she couldn't trim the lashes because they were tapered but would use shorter lashes for the new ones. She also shocked me by saying I had the longest lashes they offer on! That is not what I asked for! I was happy the new ones would be shorter and the long ones would be falling out soon. After the fill a timer went off. She said she did as much as she couldn't but was new and as a result still a little slower than a more experienced stylist. I got up to notice huge gaps on both eyes. It looked horrible. I totally understand being new and slower but more time should have been booked then. She then also said that I had more than 50% of my lashes gone, which was not mentioned when the appt began and that I needed to make sure I scheduled a refill within 1-2 weeks (My appt was 2 weeks from my initial set). I went out to the front desk and told them that I was not happy as there were very obvious gaps. She stated that Alex had more time and was confused why she didn't do more. Alex had apparently misunderstood when her next appt was. She brought me back in to the room and had to get me entirely prepped again to add more lashes for about ten minutes. It was better but still lots of gapping and not full. I went back out to the front desk and they asked for payment of $100. I told them I wasn't comfortable paying for the fill when it wasn't even done completely. The front desk person offered to schedule a correction appt. It had to be done in three days. I work full time but stated I could come in at night. They were booked but she managed to get me in with Lisa for the next day. I also told them I wasn't happy that I was originally booked with a senior stylist but was switched to a less experienced stylist without notification. I asked to speak to the manager. I was told that the manager was training someone and would call me later. They would hold off on payment until after I spoke with the manager. On my way home, I felt tickles on my nose. My lashes were already falling out without me even touching my eyes. Several hours later I got a call from the front desk person. She said that I needed to pay the $100 at that time but confirmed the correction appt and stated it would be free of charge. This is where I really got irritated.The manager didn't even bother to call me back herself. And, the very first thing that was said was that I needed to pay the full cost immediately instead of taking care of my concerns as a customer first. The next day, I went to see Lisa for my correction. She was awesome and did a great job with the time she had. She acknowledged that my lashes from the day prior should not have been falling out like they were (they were even as she was filling them). Still, she stated that she was unable to completely fix my lashes and suggested I come back in for a minifill. I had total confidence in her but it was too late. I wasn't happy that the manager never spoke to me after I requested to and I was never completely satisfied with the services. This is just not the place for me. read more

I paid $79 plus $15 tip for the "Master Stylist." What a joke! Overpriced and poor work! My full set service was on yesterday, July 3rd and today the lashes are shedding. Half of the lashes fell off on both sides. The "Master" spent over an hour resulting in a poor job. I canceled my membership months ago as I felt it was a ripoff. Totally not worth the money! This location was able to get me in for a last minute refill and BY FAR is the best location where I have EVER received services. They were friendly, accommodating, professional and actually seemed HAPPY to be working there unlike the facilities I normally use in Texas. I've had four encounters with them, three of which have been bad. My main compliant is that the staff is clearly confused about offers, promotions, memberships and pricing. Each time it has caused me frustration and money. On my first visit, I talked with a front desk associate and we laid out a plan for how I would get a membership for the month that would cover me through my bachelorette, bridal shower and wedding. He must have given me wrong information because nothing worked out as he said and it made things very complicated for my next two visits. Just this week, I signed up for a special where a new employee would do my lashes for $35. When I cancelled three days before the appointment(more than their usually cancellation policy), I thought everything was good. Two days later, I see I was charged $35 even though the associate I spoke with never mentioned I would be charged. If she had, I would have gone! It is apparently in the email they sent, though it wasn't communicated to me when I made the appointment or when I cancelled. How can you not mention you're going to charge someone's card? Lastly, when I went for my third visit to the studio, the owner was there and introduced herself, gave me a tour and took me to the bathroom to explain how to wash my face and eye lashes before my session began. She was clearly disappointed when I told her that was the first time anyone had told me about the importance of washing your face or taken me to the bathroom. Maybe if they had, my second set of lashes wouldn't have fallen off in 2 weeks. Since it's a chain, they aren't able to work with you to fix their mistakes because they're hands are tied. I am writing this quite frustrated, having just got off the phone with the Lincoln Park location. I got my lashes done on the 21st, 8 days ago. Truthfully, my experience with the front desk employee and my lash technician Jessica was amazing. This was my first time, and they were very kind, professional, and accommodating. Jessica made me feel comfortable and the overall appointment had me in high hopes. Initially, my lashes looked great and I was very pleased. Although during the appointment, for some reason, I felt as if she was having difficulties with my left eye and spending more time on that one. Flash forward to 6 days later and I notice my left eyes lash line looks much thinner and it's obviously uneven. Following ALL aftercare instructions, I assume this has to do with the difficulties I had thought she was having with that same eye during the application. Finally today I called, assuming they would tell me to come in and give me a complimentary touch up due to the situation. The employee who answered the phone said she could only give me a $10 coupon for a 30 minute touch up and I would still have to pay over $50- even though I just got them done WITHIN THE WEEK. For such an expensive service as well as a brand new client who was planning on becoming a regular-I would assume they would want to keep my business and offer a touch up at least half off. Especially considering the correlation between only my left eye lash line thinning out and my feeling during the application that my technician was having difficulties with that same eye. The employee on the phone was mostly polite, although not very empathetic and towards the end of the phone call she kept interrupting me with excuses that is probably my natural lash cycle and how she refills every two weeks. I strongly believe this issue has to do with the application, and not my after care. It has not been two weeks- it has been 8 days and they were noticeably uneven after 6 days. Quite frankly, that is BS. I was so pleased with my technician and the initial appointment, so I am extremely disappointed that I will not be a returning customer due to their poor customer service and my uneven, thinning results. read more

My lashes haven't been able to support Eye Lash Extensions and I forgot to cancel my membership. I called today in hopes to use my credits towards their products or something and I talked to Janelle and instead she gave me a full refund of the 4 months I paid!! I didn't expect that!! We were laughing while she was refunding the money and even texted me a picture of the receipt! Even when my lashes would fall out they would schedule me ASAP to get it corrected! I love this place, I've been doing my lashes for 7 months with them at this point. Sadly this two last experience that I had with my lashes have not been satisfactory. I accepted to be the model for a new girl and my lashes did not last a week, and this girl took 2 hours with me which was no a problem since she was training. I missed my correction appointment, so I had no problem to go for a short appointment. they put me again with the girl that did my lashes the last time and it was the same thing, at this point I am just bald from my eyes and I have to wait to get my refill again, but probably it just gonna be a full set. With this I just would like that they make sure that their trainees are doing the right work and keep in touch with the costumers that accepts to be the model to avoid any future inconvenience like what happened to me. The lashes were not glue properly, she did not took time to see if they where completely dry, she stick lash to lash. I started going to Amazing Lash with a Gilt City earlier this year. They are always on time, easy to make appointments with, and very accomodating. I went to a different technician everytime and the quality remained the consistent. I even signed up for a membership I was so happy! I did have one technician I was not pleased with (and I can't remember her name). I let the owner Janelle know and she immediately rectified it crediting my account for a full set of lashes at my next appointment since my fill had completely fallen out, and the tech got black glue in my blonde hair that I had to cut out. Customer service made up for my experience! Fast forward, my husband and I decided to move out of the city so I had to cancel my membership. Otherwise I would have kept going. Conveniently located, helpful staff, they provide nice blankets and pillows and music while you are getting serviced. Perfect for a little nap :) read more

I was all set to respond to Janelle's original response after the holiday (July 4th). I also considered sending her response to headquarters. But interestingly enough, she edited her response not once but a few times. I actually got tired of the notifications coming to my inbox. But I guess I would have edited my response to had l, as the owner, minimized a client's experience by stating getting lashes isn't "life saving surgery." I, now, fully understand the reason for mediocrity at her establishment. Not sure what "verbal chaos" is but it sure doesn't sound good. Sounds like another dishonest statement. Yes, I did refuse to see Jenna (whose name I was trying to keep anonymous. So much for that. Thanks, Janelle). I'm sure that if Amazing Lash Studio requested the "video footage," they would view a completely different scenario. So with that said, I stand by my summation that the people who run this studio are unprofessional as well as DISHONEST due to poor leadership. Responses from owner/managers generally serve as a barometer to their business acumen or a lack thereof in this case. Receptionists should be able to at least confirm your stylist BEFORE making an appointment. At the very least, there should be notes in their system on their clients. Details are of upmost importance in this industry. I've worked at a spa in the heart of NYC so I know what great customer service looks like and feels like, and how to give it. Amazing Lash Studio at 1845 N. Clybourn does not. Yelpers, this has nothing to do with "harboring anger" but everything to do with giving consumers an educated opinion of my visit. Any owner who equates a customer's review to "harboring anger " isn't objective nor interested in offering clients an wonderful experience. There are SEVERAL lash studios in Chicago. You deserve to go to those that offer you the best customer service. Janelle, thanks for your concern in me finding peace as opposed to offering me great service. You should know that I found peace when I stopped patronizing your business. Customers are always at peace when we find that our money has not been well spent and have the freedom to go elsewhere. Amazing lash is a clean and beautiful lash studio! The beds are comfortable with various pillow shapes and sizes to help! I have gone to see Bailey twice now! She's very nice and listens to your concerns and gives you feedback to help! My lash sets have stayed on very nicely and as a server I have received many, many compliments! The owner Janelle is also very friendly and helpful! There was a miscommunication about being a member and getting filled a full set, that she helped us with. If you're a member, remember to get filled before too many fall out, otherwise a fill is $89 on top of member fees. However, the process was miserable, extremely painful, and unhelpful. I had a tough experience at Amazing Lash. My first appointment was great and the management is super nice. And I'm not one to leave 1 star on reviews. However, my second time going the woman I saw rushed through my fill, spending less than 10 minutes and not waiting for the glue to dry. I've been getting lashes done for over 8 months from more than 2 different companies and never had an issue but after that job my eyes got so infected I could barely open my eyes. They still charged me to get the lashes removed and barely let me cancel my membership without being fined again for another month.
