Today I ordered the Mary's chicken and it was but basic. The chicken what was supposed to be on this sandwich was extremely thin and sparse. It didn't even cover the size of the bread. On top of everything it was $18 plus tax and tip. Just the sandwich. No side.... Not even a pickle. The sandwich was supposed to have Dijon mustard. It did not. Tasty comfort classics with a modern spin. Got an old country vibe with the interior design and its order and self seat once you come in. We ordered the half fried chicken. It came with 6 pieces and two big sides so perfect to share. The batter was lite and crispy though chicken was a tiny bit overcooked. Sides were good too. I'd recommend putting some extra salt or seasoning as it was on the lighter side. Order took a little long to come out but staff were friendly. No two platforms offer consistent menus or options and, whichever you do use, they'll probably cancel your order because they don't have or can't make what you want. It can get super busy and, while conceptually it can sound really good, the execution of the food falls flat for me. The annoying parking and not getting your order as you had expected it, makes it difficult to add this to my lunch rotation. My friend's order was completely botched. She called to let them know and request a refund because she couldn't eat the kind of bread they put it on. She never got that refund despite assurances that they would credit it back. read more

My positive impression for this group of cafes is mainly for the pies. This is the third and smallest location and I can't say the experience changed my perception of the restaurants. The other cafes feel more like casual restaurants and this one is definitely a cafeteria and it seems to be popular with the office staff in the area. There was no air conditioning on a 92 degree day and the ice machine broke down. The pozole was barely warm (maybe it's a good thing) and the fish tacos fell apart when you tried to eat them. I had the soup and half sandwich, clam chowder (F,S,S) and a half baguette Cambodian pickled veg and turkey sandwich--S0 GOOD! The prices have gone up and the menu got smaller.... and unfortunately the service got significantly slower so you really have to give yourself plenty of time. This is a great local place to eat. Staff are very friendly and patient. This place is very popular, most likely with the workers in the building and adjacent businesses. Came here with my coworkers for the first time. Felt so bad because I felt like we overwhelmed them with our order for 8 people during lunch hour. But they were so great, patient, and the food came out so good! We really enjoyed our team lunch there. We didn't realize we had to pay for parking in the lot next to them. Orange Location: Cafeteria style restaurant where you order, sit, then get your meal. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The cafe is on the corner of Main and La Veta in Orange. It is inside of one of the white towers that houses the Union Bank. Across the street from the CVS is the front entrance that has the double doors with the Orange County Assessor business sign and US Bank ATM machines. Once you pass the double doors, you will see the restaurant to the right side of the business courtyard. It is open from Monday through Friday - 7am to 4pm.The cafe does not offer parking validation. While in front of the cafe, there is an underground parking structure to the right which is expensive and you have to pay every 15 minutes. The cafe plays famous standard and soft rock tunes from 1950s to 1970s. They have one wall mount screen by the cash register that reflects their Tuesday Specials etc. Female cashier was nice. I received my fish taco in a paper container. Perhaps the cashier was not sure if I was dining in or taking it out. For being a first time customer, I received a free cookie! They have an assorted range of breakfash and lunch entrees, assorted hot and cold coffee drinks including Rose Latte, baked cookies and muffins, and salads. The only soda brand that they serve is Stubborn Soda fountain drinks. Baked pies are only available at the Garden Grove location. I have been frequenting Amarith quite a bit for the past month and I'm starting to think I have an obsession with their ultimate Amarith Sandwich! That has been my go-to order as of late, and I typically sub out the Dijon for chipotle aioli and lightly toast it. I also order here quite a bit for my work friends and they seem to love the BLT-A, tuna melt, toasty Italian & Mary's Chicken Club! I also really enjoy their Cesar salad! There is ample seating indoors as well as outside on their patio. It's in a nice and comfortable area nestled between the US bank building and a few offices. I also find that their service is always great and quick! I like to order ahead online and pick-up in person. My food is always ready and on time. I just found out they also have a location in Corona Del Mar, so I'm excited to visit that location as well. Overall, I have only had great experiences here with quality food! read more

The AC never works, the workers look sweaty and I can imagine how the workers look in the kitchen (sweating while handling food) , food on showcase shows mold on fruits, and tuna they got on the shelve is watery. Let me start by saying that I'm not a paid spokesman (maybe one day ). Rather, I've just grown to LOVE Amarith. I work near their Orange location, so I frequently walk there for my lunch break. This cafe is truly a hidden gem, tucked away underneath a gigantic building with a rather unassuming storefront. What matters though, like with most things, is what's on the inside. The interior is cozy and they make the most of their limited space. There's a nice little outdoor seating area to catch some sun, with a few tables indoors as well. With all that said, let's get into what you're reading this for: the food and the service as this is where they truly excel. They are as friendly and accommodating as you can get here, particularly Sabrina and Violeta so big shoutout to them. Their menu is vast, but don't let that deter you! I've tried over a dozen different items on their menu and every time I am BLOWN AWAY with just how delicious every dish turns out. The preparation is consistent with every meal being made to order. They use quality ingredients and the menu items are reasonably priced. I get excited to try something new every time I go as a result. Two standouts for me were their 'Unforgettable Cheesesteak' and their version of a 'Tuna Melt'...my mouth is watering just typing this review. This Salmon Bowl was awesomely delicious! The flavors blend well together from the red rice to the grilled Salmon cutlets, guacamole, sauces, and slices of Jalapeños. The serving size was just right. Service is always friendly and timely. Oh I have also had their muffins which moist and fresh. Their coffees are organic. They offer a variety of hot and cold drinks. My favorite is the regular organic coffee and the new Ube Latte. Another fave is the Parisian breakfast sandwich- crispy bacon and egg with arugula in a croissant.
