This was one stop on my cafe tour of Boulder, co. I enjoyed the cappuccino. Excellent espresso and the scone was amazing. They have a variety of scones; peach, blueberry and raspberry. This is my "Cheers" bar. Local, super friendly baristas, great clientele and delicious coffee and teas. Nothing I don't like about this place, and it's a bonus that they have soccer, tennis and bicycling on their (perhaps a bit too small) television screen too. read more

Stopped in for a coffee while passing through town. My wife and I both ordered a hot mocha to go. Mine was hot with a little coffee flavor. My wifes tasted like warm milk. No coffee or chocolate flavor. Cashier was friendly, Barista not so much. Not impressed! read more

My favorite coffee place in Boulder....i would recommend going to the north Boulder location though, better service and a more relaxed location...a lot of bike riders frequent this location, plenty of seating! I love the Forte coffee, my favorite, I even buy a pound to take home. Good tasting coffee, but I cannot tell you how many times I've ordered a vanilla latte and just been given a plain latte. My boyfriend has taken employees up on offers to warm a croissant for him before and several times it has been given to him burnt. Just things to bear in mind. read more

Amante, I keep trying to like you. You're latte's are good. But your baristas are unbelievably snobby (not sure why that's necessary - even in Seattle, coffee snob capital of the country, I've never had such snobby baristas). And every time I come to your new location on Baseline, you are busy cleaning (at 5pm) around me and I have to smell the stinky cleaning fumes. The ambiance at your Walnut Street location has a nice European feel, but your North Boulder and Baseline cafe's are cold and sterile. I'm over it. There are way better cafe's to go to. read more

Horrific Internet connection! Consistently one of the worst. The rest of the shop is nice, good location. Coffee is pretty mediocre. And the espresso drinks like Lattes and Cappuccinos can be OK depending on who makes it. Don't go here if you need to work, the wifi is so unreliable and has been for months. read more

I've been to this Amante three times. The first, I ordered a decaf but got the full caffeine. Yowza. And I realized it after about 5 sips so my $5 coffee was in the trash and we were too far away to walk it back in. The second, I am vegan and asked the barista about the chocolate they use for their hot chocolates. He was very condescending and hesitant to take the time to look. I was friendly, but made to feel stupid for asking. Again, not a great experience. Third, was today when I was given a tiny cup of coffee for over $3 - asked for steamed almond milk but the milk was simply placed on the counter for me to pour myself with a snide look. These Amante baristas are better than me. Not going to be a 4th visit for me. read more

We tried to like this place as it is only a few steps from our home. It wouldn't matter if they had the best coffee in Boulder because the staff here makes it impossible to enjoy anything. Every time I tried to like Amante it was destroyed by the workers. Rude, no hello or thank you ever. I found a gem a block away and the lattes are excellent. read more

cycling mecca this location is much better than the other one. its newer and more comfortable. its a better place to sit and chill as well. tons of cyclists hanging around and cool outdoor patio. coffee is great and there's a big screen tv inside playing soccer games or other stuff. its cool. i dont think its pretentious at all. its just good and trendy and its fun to hang out there. wonderland trailhead is just down the street read more

Amante has amazing coffee and the shop environment is beautiful, sunny and inviting. I love the art all over the store and the high table. I used to work at Amante, and for the most part I enjoyed it. However, near the end of my employment, things turned very sour. You can here more about it here: https://kennettron.wordpress.com/2015/10/16/dealing-with-a-bully/ While the atmosphere at Amante is nice, the coffee is good, and some of the employees are hard-working, friendly people, you should realize that there is a major underlying problem with Amante. Lazy, unfair management/ownership led to a particular employee bullying the rest of us. This is one of the reasons for the high turn over. After reading many of the comments left here by customers, I can assure you that this is also the reason behind much of the poor attitude and customer service that is being complained about. I'm writing this in hopes that a change will be made. One that will create a fair, equal work environment for future Amante employees, and a friendlier atmosphere for everyone. read more

No other place in Boulder (or anywhere that I've been... keeping in mind I've never been to Italy) serves as wonderful a latte as I've had at Amante. They are total pros! They also serve delicious gelati & other yummy snacks. Plus, they always play football (soccer) on televisions in the cafe so it's a great place to go if you're a fan of the sport! I do think it's a little yuppie, but that doesn't change the fact that their coffee is yummy. Check it out if you love football and/or great coffee! read more

Coffee and Teas are great, pastries and food are so so. And I don't think I have ever been helped by the same person, which makes me wonder sometimes. During the summer time I completely avoid this spot because it's the hangout for all the wanna-be professional bicyclists since it's basically the start of one of the best rides in the state. But it's quite cozy in the winter and it's nice to have a couple blocks away from my place and on the most frequently running bus line in town. read more

We just moved up the street and had frequented the shop while house hunting. The coffee is delicious and the chai is even better. Our daughter loves the gelato. I love Amante. A very european cafe that serves coffee and liquor. Good happy hour, ok pastries. NoBo location is more spacious than downtown which is good and bad. Good that there is lots of space and light-bad in that like Saxy's downtown-every space is full of people hanging out all day on their lap tops making it about impossible to find a seat. read more

After much deliberation of Amante, I've decided I'm a fan. Their love of cycling helps the case -- or their tolerance I should say since as much as I like my cycling brethren, we are an annoying breed in our spandex and cycling talk nerdery. Anyway, their espresso drinks are exceptional. Their seating is generous, television options are usually Euro inspired and entertaining, and their location keeps them busy with still with ample seating and parking. The staff is always so nice and helpful, the gelato is tasty (although a bit overpriced) and the cocktails are strong! They have a nice area for outside seating which I love. Amante in North Boulder is my go-to coffee shop. I spend almost every day here getting a cup of tea or coffee and settling in for a couple hours of work. If I could leave 0 stars I would.. I have tried Amanti coffee 3 times hoping that I would have a better experience with each visit , but that was not the case. The workers are so UNPROFESSIONAL and talk about very inappropriate things behind the counter (i.e " you can't sleep with co-workers) and NEVER engage with any customer but instead, continue about their personal conversations. The other thing is the cleanliness and hygiene procedures for the staff. The first time the girl was literally playing with her hair then proceeded to make my coffee and never washed her hands. The last time, the tall gentleman with the beard was scratching and rubbing his beard and again, never washed his hands. Not to mention, they are SO incredibly rude and never acknowledged you and complain if you have a question or interrupt their personal convo's behind the bar. Lastly, each coffee I have ordered has been terrible! I pay nearly $6 for a drink that is half the size of Starbucks and tastes even worse. I would say something but because of how terrible their customer service is, I am afraid to say anything and instead waste my money on a bad cup of coffee. I refuse to go back and will be reaching out to higher management in the company simply because this is unacceptable . read more

I was so excited when this place was about to open on Baseline because it's right across the street from my house. I thought I could have a good place to read and so on while I enjoyed some coffee. I went in and stood at the counter for a long long time before anyone came to help me. They were busy talking to each other and I suppose I'm not a priority. If it was just a few seconds I wouldn't mention it, but it was almost a full minute of me standing there to order. The guy who did take my order was rude and acted as if I was bothering him by ordering something. After paying 6 dollars for mocha, it took them over 5 minutes to make. I was their only order. It was handed to me in a "here you go, now get out" fashion and it tasted bitter and burnt. I made my way to sit down, only to discover that all of the outlets were intentionally covered up. Sorry students, no studying here. I understand if they aren't going for the midnight study dive that other boulder coffee shop are like, but they picked a location directly between the student apartments, and campus. Who do they expect their customers to be? Certainly not business people on the go if it takes 5 minutes to get a coffee. I went back to to give it a second chance and literally the exact same thing happened. Waited a long time to order while the guy wasn't doing anything else, waited a long time to get my order, I was again treated like they were doing me a huge favor by making my coffee. The coffee was again bitter and burnt, and again i payed way more than I should have. I saw they have alcohol on the menu but I can't imagine what a drink with alcohol would cost. $10 wouldn't surprise me. I went to sit down and at the very least I saw some outlets were open to a couple people. I hope this place goes out of business so a better place can move in. read more

Love the place and atmosphere. This is my cycling hub before going for a bike ride and it is my recovery place after a long ride.

The customer service here is often lackluster, but this weekend I walked in for coffee and the blond girl taking my order was downright rude and hostile. No smile, no acknowledgement, no customer service, and rolled her eyes at me. I live nearby. I've had it with this place. It's dirty and they take way, wayyy too long to fill an order. Plus my cup always seems dirty, like there are grinds in there. Not worth it. The staff and ambiance at Logan's is so, so much friendlier and cleaner. Shape up, Amante. read more
