Where do I start. Family owned and operated establishment in Baltimore' Little Italy. We ordered a bottle of recommended red from Becca, a 2019 Castellani Sangiovese, excellent choice. Tannins but not too much to overcome the food. Our appetizer, Caprese Bruschette, the Burrata was creamy but not overly runny, a nice touch by putting pitted Olives on the side. Very good. For the main course we split a Shrimp Diavlo and Parppadelle Carciofi, homemade pasta with artichoke heart, sun dried tomato, roasted red peppers, spinach in a butter cream sauce. This can easily go sideways but not at Osteria DaAmedeo, the sauce was not overwhelming but excellent and the homemade pasta was cooked to perfection while soaking up the taste of the sauce. For the dessert we went with the house made Tiramisu. Very tasty but a little too damp, a common choice with Tiramisu, but I prefer mine a little more firm. So now for the 5 star part of this review, Amadeus & Becca, father and daughter, on my scale they rate 110%. Don't bypass this understated establishment.

Such a great little find! Came here for the first time for a dinner date. We were greeted upon walking in and taken to a table in the back. We started off with wine and ordered our entrees (a Shrimp Alfredo fettuccine for me). Our entrees came with a small Caesar salad. The salad was nothing special but a nice starter before our main meal. My dish had a good amount of shrimp in it and it was super tasty. We also decided to share their in house made Tiramisu for dessert. It was very light and a great ending to our meal. Our server was super friendly and attentive. The owner's daughter also came over to assist and was quite fun and friendly as well. Such a quaint restaurant with energetic and friendly staff. The food and wine were great and all at a reasonable price too! A lovely experience overall. Will definitely come back here!

My partner and I stopped in on a whim - and absolutely fell in love with it by surprise. The prices for wine are very reasonable, the environment is warm and welcoming, and the staff was super friendly and nice to chat with. Coincidentally, I was sitting next to Amadeo - the owner! He welcomed me, and asked if I was enjoying my time. His daughter also works behind the bar, which I think is super cool. I was also informed that the food is homemade (and thus can be altered for a gluten free diner like myself). Can't wait to return for wine, and probably food next time!

This place is a small hidden gem in Little Italy, Baltimore. We were looking for a place to have dinner and gave this a shot after reading some reviews. The menu is small, but there's no need for more. We had the farfalle, caesar salad, gambas bruschetta (not pictured) and a glass of sauvignon. The server had a great attitude, energy and was very kind. We stayed past their closing time (we did not know they were closed already) and they did not even mention it, but wished us a good night and closed the door behind us. We apologized of course for overstaying, but they did not mind. It's quaint, nice and cozy. I would definitely return and recommend anyone visiting the Little Italy, Baltimore area.

Pasta bolognese and an amazing shrimp dish that was supposed to be on crostini but we got it on the housemade farfalle and it was delicious!

What a great little find this was in Baltimore! They are only open something like Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 5:00 to 10:00. Updated menu every week with great homemade everything, great service and great food. I stopped in with my son on a Friday evening and had a great experience here. We started with the antipasto for two, it was plenty of food and it was so gorgeous that I dug right in and I'm sorry to say did not get a picture of it! I got the pasta bolognese which was great - I'm sitting here eating the leftovers for breakfast as I write this! (-: My son got the shrimp dish which was supposed to be served on crostini but he asked for pasta instead and it was even better than mine! The people were really nice and seem to enjoy being there which really made the whole experience even better. This is definitely someplace that I have to come back to.

Osteria Da Amedeo is truly a hidden jewel in Baltimore's Little Italy. The food is amazing and the owners, father and daughter, are friendly and personable. Their menu changes every week and it's like having a home cooked meal in your Nana's Italian kitchen.

I have walked by this restaurant many times, and have been looking forward to trying it for years. It exceeded my expectations! The atmosphere was nothing short of charming, and the owner and his daughter ensured our experience was great. I had a pappardelle with tomato and pesto - tasted so fresh and delicious. My fiancé had a linguine with cream sauce and shrimp. The pesto bruschetta was one of the best we'd ever had. They offered a wide selection of wines, and the owner helped us select the perfect bottle. They have a new menu every week, and are open Thursday - Saturday from approximately 5-10. Our experience made our night so special. We can't wait to go back!

I had an exceptional experience at Osteria Da Amedeo. This restaurant is exactly what you hope for when you're seeking a neighborhood family owned experience. The service was outstanding and personalized to be exactly what we wanted. The owner and his daughter are extremely welcoming. I had a parmesan cream sauce with shrimp over linguini and it hit the spot. My fiancé had a pappardelle with pesto & tomato. She absolutely loved it. The lentil soup was also delicious. The ambiance is very quaint and relaxing. If you're looking to try somewhere new, add Osteria Da Amedeo to the top of your list. And be mindful they're only open Thurs-Sat.

This cozy little corner restaurant is easily missed - but definitely worth a visit. I've lived nearby for a decade and just tried it for the first time very recently. Everything is reasonably priced, the service is friendly, and the vibe is relaxing. We tried a couple antipasti plates to start - some marinated vegetables and some charcuterie. Very tasty. We also ordered a penne with meatballs and it was delicious. To end, we got the tiramisu which was all great. Happy hour beers are only a few bucks and they have Moretti Rossa, so it's a no-brainer. I'll definitely be going back.

When I did a search online, this restaurant received high reviews and had a lovely ambiance. I made reservations via OpenTable. When I made the reservation, I noted it was for my birthday. Upon being seated, I was given a handwritten birthday card. Our server was Christopher. He was knowledgeable informing us of the specials and offering a recommendation after my husband selected a particular glass of wine. Christopher started us off by providing us with complimentary bread. I ordered the lobster ravioli (half size) and my hubby ordered the chicken marsala with spaghetti. I enjoyed the succulent lobster and the flavorful sauce. My hubby enjoyed his entree as well. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate semifreddo which had chocolate mousse, cold brew gelato, white chocolate crema, and chocolate hazelnut crumble. Christopher brought it out with lighted candle and surprised me with a complimentary olive oil cake. Both were delectable and simply perfection. If I were at home, I probably would have licked the plates. Towards the end of dinner, Christopher didn't come to check on us as frequently, but I appreciated his thoughtfulness with the complimentary cake and his knowledge of the menu. I enjoyed the food, ambiance, and special gestures the restaurant made to celebrate my birthday.

Neither of us could finish our meals and didn't want to take seafood back to our hotel fridge. So if you get over stimulated easily (or just spent all day in an airport/plane) maybe consider something more low key.

When we arrived, we were the only ones there, and there was one staff member working. That said, she came over immediately, brought us menus, and made the experience feel welcoming right away. We had to ask about tastings and she poured us about four different wines to try, which was a really nice touch and made the experience feel relaxed. We liked a few of the wines and ended up purchasing a bottle of Honor Cava Brut Rosato for $32.99. Solid choice. Nothing mind-blowing, but enjoyable and fairly priced for the setting. The space itself felt calm and cozy, especially with the fireplace and wine displays, but at the time we were there it didn't have a ton of energy or buzz. To be fair, it was early in the day, so I can absolutely see this place feeling very different in the evening or on a weekend when the patio and waterfront vibe are in full swing. V-NO is a pleasant, low pressure wine stop with friendly service, a thoughtful tasting experience, and a beautiful waterfront location. It may not scream "vibes" during slower daytime hours, but it's an easy place to relax, learn what you like, and enjoy a glass (or a bottle) without feeling rushed. I'd definitely come back later in the day to see it come to life.

The gentlemen who answered the phone was so kind, and was able to squeeze us in on the fly on a Saturday night, and they weren't slow. Got there super early because I was already in the area, and my wife and I decided to have an old fashioned and an espresso martini at the bar while we waited and they were excellent. The ambiance was upscale but still managed to be relaxed and comfortable. We had a lovely dinner, the waiter was busy but was still attentive and patient. Our whole experience was awesome, so we were already going back in the future. Yesterday I realized a mistake on my bank account from the bar charge, so I called around 6 pm and spoke to the same gentlemen as before. He got all my info and promised he'd call back in 5 minutes. I didn't really expect 5 minutes because I know how crazy the dinner rush would be at an Italian restaurant with a Wednesday wine special. Not even 3 minutes later he called back, and explained what happened, fixed it and I got a follow up text immediately letting us know the refund was already in process. Now, I've been in the service industry and I was a bartender, so I understand that I'm going to be a little biased here but from beginning to end Benny's went above and beyond. They clearly appreciate their customers and love their work, it shows.

My girl quite hilariously said that the bread was tragically authentic, LOL! She's not wrong, it was pretty hard but it was also very good. The duck confit and savory crépe I would have loved it if they made that into an entree because I'd have eaten a whole plate of it. It was delicious! Their menu might be classic French, but none of the entrees spoke to me. It was a warm late spring/almost summer night, and I found their menu to be heavy and not very seasonal. I wanted something lighter, something more spring. Since the entrees weren't calling to us, we stuck to the small plates/hors d'oeuvres section of the menu and shared: Potato & Leek Soup (butter croutons and garlic chive oil); Salad Lyonnaise (soft boiled egg, bacon lardons, endive, frisee, and radishes); tableside beef tartare (verjus mustard, capers, tomato, truffle); short rib pappardelle (truffled egg yolk, red onion, Parmesan, and short rib ragu); and Iberico Secreto (apple butter, macerated cranberries, hazelnuts, and microsage). Of these, I'd say we enjoyed the soup and the iberico the best. The beef tartare wasn't cut/diced or mixed very well despite the very fun tableside preparation. The pasta had a truffle oil pungency that isn't for us, so I wouldn't order that dish again, but otherwise the food was pretty good. I do think there is better French food in Baltimore, but Monarque offers something special. The service is great. The wine and cocktails are great. The decor is cool. But best of all? Thursday-Sunday, Monarque hosts Monarque After Dark. Burlesque, cabaret, live jazz music... At Monarque, it's dinner with a show. The performers we saw were great. Monarque After Dark made our night. If the food didn't blow me away, the experience still did. FYI the music is quite loud, so I wouldn't recommend dinner at Monarque if you prefer a quieter dinner! We had a great time at Monarque. I'd certainly return - next time for some drinks, oysters, and shrimp cocktails and the show!
