When I went in search for a window repair business I got the run around. I asked for business to respond to my repair inquiry through Yelp and most don't do home window repairs or don't replace just one window. Bahman's response to my inquiry? Very disappointed... AMA told me they could repair / refurbish my glass door rollers, in addition their reviews indicated they could with great success. They asked for the brand, but I was unable to provide, given the doors are 20+ years old. They then reversed their course and said they didn't do this kind of work, which according to their website isn't the case. So, instead of taking a look and assessing the situation, they simply rejected the services request. read more

I accidentally broke my brother-in-law's single pane window and I needed to get it fixed ASAP. I called AMA around 10 AM and they arrived that day at 4:30 pm. They were polite, professional, and didn't even need to enter the house (except to clean up a bit). I was impressed with how quickly the job was done, and the window looked just like it did before I put my elbow through it. We needed to have a set of large dining room thermal windows replaced as the seal was broken and they bled. We contacted 3 companies and AMA glass gave us a prompt and reasonable quote. They came to our condo in SF from Oakland on a Saturday to measure the windows, and promised to replace the windows the next Saturday. I had vandals smash a patio door, and I took the frame to AMA. I asked them to deliver the completed door, and they wanted to leave it outside. I asked them if they could bring it in the house, and they put it back in the door frame, which was nice, since that's considered "installing" which I hadn't paid for. I thanked them and paid for the door. Then I realized I couldn't open the door; it was metal to metal. The frame itself wasn't tight; you could see daylight! I called immediately and they told me they'd come back to fix it. They did come back and it works but not like it used to. I'm thinking it would have been nice if it was done right the first time. The guys weren't happy about coming back, and neither was I. I probably wouldn't choose them again. read more

Took a couple days of back-and-forth phone messages, but Bahman & colleague showed up late in a long workday to address our sliding glass patio door, which had been shattered by a family dog literally jumping through it(!) Bahman quickly assessed that, in order to repair the sliding door, he would have to totally remove the fixed door, due to the interior floor tile height being too high to allow for interior removal of the shattered door. After removing both doors, they carried the broken door down to his truck and. within a very short time, returned, installed and insured that both doors were sealed, in place, and smoothly sliding. Even though his initial estimate for the work was the least of the quotes, he actually reduced the invoice cost by $25 less than his quote, for which I was grateful, given that this was an unbudgeted, totally out-of-pocket expense. Great job; done efficiently, at lowest cost... what's not to like? I would not hesitate to hire or refer AMA Glass to anyone needing glass work! read more
