I have used Always Quality Electrical for the past four years, and I would not call anyone else. Justin is an excellent electrician--knowledgeable, professional, considerate, and fairly priced. I especially appreciate that he texts before arriving with an estimated time of arrival, which gives me time to kennel my dog before he gets to my home. Over the years, Justin has replaced the ceiling fan in my bedroom, the bathroom fan, and most recently, the fan in my family room. The latest project was a bit more complicated because the first fan I purchased from Lowe's turned out to be damaged. The motor housing was dented, and it appeared the fan had previously been opened and repackaged. Although I was told at checkout that the box had not been opened, it clearly had been, so I returned it. I then ordered a replacement fan with a remote from Amazon. When I asked Justin which manufacturers he recommended, he suggested Kichler along with a few other quality brands. Justin installed the fan, set up the remote, and made sure everything worked beautifully. I now have a wonderful new fan in my family room. I am extremely satisfied with Always Quality Electrical and with Justin's workmanship. He is reliable, skilled, thoughtful, and easy to work with. We hired this electrician after half of our home lost power. He assessed the issue and recommended work, which we approved in good faith. The work did not fix the problem, and he later said the issue was with SDG&E. SDG&E confirmed the problem was entirely on their equipment, that nothing was wrong with our home, and that the work performed was unnecessary. When my husband called for clarification, the electrician became defensive, raised his voice, called him a jerk, told him to call his lawyer, and hung up. We were not asking for a full refund, only a reasonable discussion. We actually never discussed a resolution. Any one (or a combination) of the following would have been appropriate in my opinion. Refund for unnecessary work, If SDG&E confirmed the issue was entirely on their side. Charge only for diagnostics, not repairs Credit toward future service, even partial acknowledges the misdiagnosis without admitting fault Good-faith adjustment Ultimately I relied on his on expertise, his work did not fix the issue, I was concerned we paid for unnecessary work, and were received with defensiveness, hostility, and unprofessional conduct. Very disappointing. Im not holding my breath but I really hope we get at a minimum an apology for the unprofessional behavior. read more

It's really awful that Justin has close to a 5-star rating here. He did so many things wrong and unprofessionally, I don't even know where to start. He answered my call SUPER quickly and came over to my residence the day of my issue. I realized later that he came quickly to get payment. He started a job, incorrectly diagnosed the problem, incorrectly installed a GFCI outlet, and said that he'd need to come back to finish the job. He charged me for the visit but assured me that he'd come back within the next week to finish the job. I admit, it was bad on me to have paid him. After he had my money, he never returned my calls or e-mails. He never came back to finish the job. I texted him pictures of how he had made mistakes that put my household at risk of fire, but he didn't care. TAKE A LOOK AT THE ATTACHED PHOTO. HE LEFT MY OUTLET LIKE THIS. He didn't install anything to code. He overcharged me. He installed parts that didn't need to be there. At the end of the day, I went and completed the work (that he had quoted me over $1000 to do) with my son. We fixed our problem for less than $100. Justin overcharges, and he doesn't know electrical code. He doesn't do good work, and he doesn't care if he puts your household at risk of fire or damage. Reached out to Justin via Yelp for a big project I was planning for my home and looking for estimates - installing ceiling fans and recessed lights. I answered all his questions and was prompt in my response. Apparently, he doesn't install fixtures which are purchased by the client. I was okay with that but on enquiring which brand of lights and fans he offers, he asked me to find someone else. On questioning him the reason why he wouldn't take the job, he tells me he is booked until 2022 which I believe was a lie. This may sound silly but I feel this was totally unprofessional and rude. I contacted Justin earlier this morning to help my parents with an electrical issue at their house in La Jolla. Justin asked me all of the right questions, and described his troubleshooting procedure over the phone including the price.
