My experience with ER Electric was really bad. I went with them because their reviews were so good but the negative reviews aligned with my experience.  TLDR:  - random cancellations, no shows, and no response when trying to reschedule - still has not provided a receipt for my $3000 payment, after having asked numerous times - shady payments via zelle. His bank kept rejecting my payments and I ended up having to pay his wife's zelle account (??)  Long version: Romo took almost 2 months to complete my project of replacing the subpanel, adding a 20 amp circuit, and repairing any damaged drywall. He and his team cancelled/ no showed on my tenant more than 5 times and was super unresponsive when scheduling. My tenant had to live in a home with holes in the walls for almost a full month before it was finally repaired. The business operates very shadily. I have asked for a receipt for my payment numerous times, and he still has not provided one. I had to pay him in 3 separate transactions via zelle because his bank kept rejecting my payments. I'm not sure how this business has a 4.8 rating on Yelp, but will not be trusting those reviews from now on. read more

I had my whole panels upgraded. Job itself was done in a solid quality. But several things stand out: 1. Pressured to pay full prices upfront. But since I pay upfront, the communication was very lacking, and it seemed that they forgot about me and were not in a hurry as they already got my money. I had to take all initiatives by phone calls and emails to push the job moving on. 2. Dry wall and stucco repair are not satisfactory. I called Romo on a Saturday due to the power to half my house going out after having a Heatpump system being installed by a noteable HVAC company. They HVac company sent out a technician and he spent an hour trying to locate the issue and finally said they needed to have an electrician come out but wouldn't have anyone avaible until Tueaday. We lost power to a third of our home Thursday afternoon. We called a highly rated Electric company near us, they came out that day. Nice guy, he did an assessment but couldn't determine the cause. Said we need a full diagnostic because the wiring in our house is old or likely done incorrectly from prev owners. We already knew that to be true, but then he estimated $1800 for the diagnostic, just to determine what's wrong. That seemed unreasonably high. We explained the issue, and the guys came in and were amazingly fast checking all our outlets and elec panel within 15-20 min. They found the issue, there was a short in one of our switches. They fixed it pretty quickly and were out in just an hour. It was such a relief we didn't pay $1800 just to find a $100 wire short. Honestly, fastest service we ever had and the fix worked! They mentioned a few issues they noticed, and some we knew about but just didn't get around to it. I'm really disappointed with my experience. I contacted this business for an electrical job insise the home. I was given a clear price upfront. They offered a discount around 25% of what was originally quoted. I told them I would think it over and give them a call later. When I contacted them exactly a week later, they no longer gave the discount. They gave some excuse about having to agree to the price when we first met. I said did you forget what you originally quoted me, but they made me feel like I misheard them. Not good. The manager showed up in an hour, but only after $180 service charge paid online first. He listened to the first problem I was having, then pointed out an installation problem on solar switch board - but refused to fix it because "that can break its warranty". Then he stood in front of the main swtichboard and told me I need a new one - one switch is burnt, this thing is old, he did so many in the neighborhood, it is the root cause of all my problems. And it will cost me $4500, but with a special discount, $3500. And it will require permit, but he is suddenly happy to fix the solar panel if I go for it. The only good advice I got is at end, he suggested me to get other opinions, which I did. Another electrician came later in the afternoon, promised to fix the solar switch board in the next visit, and fixed the problem I had for $100 in 10 minutes. And the burnt switch? Romo and Julian came to my rescue on very short notice. When I called in the morning, they happened to be working in my area so squeezed me into their schedule for the same morning. I had an exterior GFCI outlet that was not working. I was certain that it would need to be replaced after doing some troubleshooting on my own.
