Wow. The owner is amazing. He came out on a Sunday and immediately diagnosed the issue. Not only that he said it will be 100.00. I was getting ready to pay him when he said I was only kidding. They upgraded my panel and convinced SDGE to do it without trenching. Since at the beginning I was signing a contract right away before SDGE's inspection, he also promised if anything else was needed he'd do it for no extra cost and held true to his word when later SDGE said there was an electrical conduit that needed to be moved higher above the gas meter to be up to code. Several months later one of by breakers got tripped and I couldn't get it to reset. Romo came over in less than an hour and fixed it at no charge. Thanks Romo! read more

My experience with ER Electric was really bad. I went with them because their reviews were so good but the negative reviews aligned with my experience.  TLDR:  - random cancellations, no shows, and no response when trying to reschedule - still has not provided a receipt for my $3000 payment, after having asked numerous times - shady payments via zelle. His bank kept rejecting my payments and I ended up having to pay his wife's zelle account (??)  Long version: Romo took almost 2 months to complete my project of replacing the subpanel, adding a 20 amp circuit, and repairing any damaged drywall. He and his team cancelled/ no showed on my tenant more than 5 times and was super unresponsive when scheduling. My tenant had to live in a home with holes in the walls for almost a full month before it was finally repaired. The business operates very shadily. I have asked for a receipt for my payment numerous times, and he still has not provided one. I had to pay him in 3 separate transactions via zelle because his bank kept rejecting my payments. I'm not sure how this business has a 4.8 rating on Yelp, but will not be trusting those reviews from now on. read more

Be cautious with this company. They gave me a low quote online, but during the site visit, they tried to upsell me for thousands of dollars in supposed "code violations" that turned out to be completely false. Romo claimed my previous electrical work wasn't up to code, but when I confirmed with the licensed solar company that originally did the installation, they verified everything was compliant and had already passed inspection. The original project was only a few hundred dollars, yet they tried to inflate it into a much larger job by creating problems that didn't exist. This kind of dishonest upselling shows a serious lack of integrity. I'd recommend avoiding this company--especially if you're not familiar with electrical work, as they seem to target homeowners who might not know better. read more

I had my whole panels upgraded. Job itself was done in a solid quality. But several things stand out: 1. Pressured to pay full prices upfront. But since I pay upfront, the communication was very lacking, and it seemed that they forgot about me and were not in a hurry as they already got my money.
