We had a great experience with Bright Power Electric. Alex came out to troubleshoot an electrical issue where a circuit had tripped and wouldn't reset. He quickly diagnosed the problem, swapped the breakers to troubleshoot the circuit, replaced the affected outlet, and got everything working again. What I appreciated most was the friendly, professional, no-gimmicks approach. There was no pressure or attempt to upsell unnecessary work--just straightforward troubleshooting and a proper fix. Very satisfied with the service from start to finish. Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and honest. Definitely a 5-star experience, and I would use Bright Power Electric again. read more

I honestly can't say enough about this company. I originally hired them to install an EV wall charger, and unfortunately, something went seriously wrong afterward. Without getting into all the ugly details, let's just say electricity, smoke, heat, and your house are NOT things you ever want partying together. Here's why they still get 5 stars from me: when I called them, they came back out, owned the situation, fixed the issue, and made everything right. No finger-pointing, no disappearing act, no excuses. They were honest, professional, and stood behind their work -- and that says a lot about a company. I'm genuinely WOWED by how they handled everything. I would absolutely use them again and strongly recommend them. Trust me when I say you won't regret hiring them. Sure, it might almost cost you your house ... but they'll come back the next day and make it right! Seriously though, my only complaint is that I wish they could have come out one day sooner considering how serious the situation was. Other than that, the way they handled the problem afterward completely changed my opinion of the experience. Mistakes happen. How a company responds when something goes wrong tells you who they really are. These guys stood behind their work, and they earned my 5 stars. Believe me, after what happened, there was a moment when I was ready to leave a 1-star review and write a novel about it. But mistakes happen, and I believe a company should also be judged by what they do afterward. They owned it, fixed it, treated me right, and stood behind their work. That's why I'm giving them 5 stars. My only real complaint? Considering my electrical panel was apparently auditioning for a house fire, I really wish they could've made it out one day sooner read more

Electric troubleshooting light switch outdoor and entry lighting. Alex, my technician from a previous job (GFI issue I. Master Bathroom ) was requested . Communication with office is truly 24 hrs a day. I sent this request at 9:00 PM Sunday. Alex was here today, diagnosed the issue, acquired the replacement unit from local hardware store.., troubleshooting and Removal Replacement was fast and accurate. Electricity is nothing for amateur to mess with.., too many chances for creating a bigger problem. Worth Every Dollar invested in these two different projects. Bright Lower Electric is customer focused. Clear, concise and timely communication. Fair Pricing. Most importantly... the job Alex finishes is not completed until he verifies everything is working as it should. Five Stars read more

Quickly came out to schedule a quote for the same afternoon. Technician / Electrician (Miguel) arrived early, was communicative about ETA. Very reasonable quote and knowledgably answered my questions. Was able to do the work immediately, which was completed efficiently. This company keeps harassing me over text and email after I told them multiple times that I do not want to move forward. I finally had to block them. They received my info when I let Yelp send my estimate request to multiple businesses. I will not do that again. Coordinating the estimate was great, but it went downhill from there. Compared to other businesses, the estimator was less knowledgeable and the estimate was higher. read more

I had an issue with a circuit that was fixed very quickly by Miguel. He was efficient and knowledgeable about the issue and what needed to be done. It turned out that there was some faulty wiring in an outlet that was replaced during a bathroom remodel I had a year ago. When he told me about the price, he mentioned an assessment fee that he waived as a favor. I appreciated the fee waive, but I was never told about an initial assessment fee when I scheduled the service with Bright Power Electric. I'm happy with Miguel's work, but would have appreciated more fee transparency prior to the appointment. read more

This review is due to recent quote received-we requested quote for panel upgrade - the guy that came out was friendly; however, after we received first quote it didn't include "trench work" so we requested to have quote with the trench work to be included. After multiple emails and text messages-we received revised quote only to learn that now they added additional charges and a very different price. When we inquired about the higher priced quote they said they would come out to look at panel again (even though they had already taken pictures and had spent time looking at panel and electrical connections)-after waiting for them all day-no one showed. When we requested to have original quote be honored with just trench work to be added - we continued to receive the higher priced quotes and they deleted the original quote-which was supposed to be good for 30 days. We sent screenshots of original quote and sent email to honor the original quote- but again heard nothing from the company. After reviewing company further I learned customer complaints that included " aggressive upselling on panel replacement"-which is exactly what they tried to do to us after receiving the other quote. I also learned they are not BBB accredited -I hope that people stay away from this company. read more

I honestly don't understand where the positive reviews for this company come from. I have a background in electrical work, and it's clear they rely on customers not knowing any better. If I could give zero stars, I would. It started when I called regarding flickering lights under load in three of our rooms. I'm in Sorrento Valley and saw their high rating, so I booked a call. Things went downhill immediately. The first technician, Daniel, showed up four hours late with no notice; I had to call the office myself just to find out if he was still coming. Instead of a proper diagnosis, Daniel's first move was to try to sell me a $6,000 upgrade to a 200A panel. Keep in mind, this is a one-story house with gas appliances and no EVs--we have never once overloaded our 125A panel. He admitted I didn't necessarily need it for the current issue, but "would eventually." He moved a few breakers around and started checking all junction boxes for lose connections before he had to go. The scheduling after that was a nightmare. After multiple reschedules and a month of waiting, they sent a different technician. This second guy spent half the visit "roasting" Daniel, claiming he was a "commercial guy" who didn't know residential work and insisted it cant be a lose connection. He immediately tried the exact same $6,000 sales pitch. When I pushed back, he spent the rest of the time on the phone with his boss before pivoting to a $2,000+ quote just to replace the neutral bar and breakers. He said he will offer that if he had the parts and he will call be back in an hour. 5 hours later he realized he didn't have the parts, he eventually sent a final quote for $5,499... just to replace my 125A panel with another 125A panel. Fed up, I called a different electrician. He came out the same day and actually performed a diagnosis. The problem had absolutely nothing to do with the panel. It was a combination of back-stabbed outlets and an overloaded circuit. We split the circuit and pigtailed the outlets, solving the problem once and for all for a fraction of Bright Power's lowest quote. Bright Power didn't want to fix my problem; they wanted to sell me unnecessary upgrades. If you aren't familiar with electrical work, they will talk you into thousands of dollars in "repairs" that won't even solve your issue. Eventually they will probably get to the issue but only after you have poured thousands on the other unnecessary upgrades. Go literally anywhere else. read more

Very satisfied customer. We had a shorted outlet that needed immediate repair to restore power. From start to finish the experience was smooth. The operator took my call promptly at almost 8pm and clearly told me costs and estimated time of arrival of the technician. Alejandro arrived well within that window, including updates on his arrival. Alejandro was professional, friendly, had great communication, and most importantly did a quick and great job on the actual repair. Thanks! read more

We had our choice of many electricians in the area, but chose Bright Power because of the positive feedback here and on Next Door. We were fortunate to have a service call from Gabriel H. He was charming, knowledgeable and reassuring. Our issue was a recessed ceiling light which started blinking and strobing, o e of six which were installed in a remodel in 2013. I admit to knowing nothing about electricity and was unable to even determine how to pull the defective part out. Gabriel pulled it out, and began a search for a replacement, which turned out to be difficult, calling five contractors before finding a similar part in Los Angeles. He put it in today, turning on the lights to be sure it wasn't a wiring problem. We will keep this company and Gabriel on our go-to list for any future projects. read more

Provided good services for a reasonable price. I had security cameras installed, recessed lighting, scone wiring, role LED wiring, and extra outlets added. I'm pleased with the work and will contact Bright Power if more work is needed around my house. read more

Technician was actually really easy to work with. He did run into multiple issues with the area where the outlet was eventually installed, which ultimately ended up being an area that was Plan B if we couldn't get it where we wanted. But he offered $100 off if we went with Plan B because it would simplify the job, and I didn't remember until my wife got home. I contacted the technician and no response. The company even reached out and asked me to leave a review and I explained the discount. He said he'd get back to me and hasn't. It's been a month so deducting points for that last part. Aside from that, had a decent experience. read more

We had Bright Power Electric come out to move a junction box so we could get a new oven installed, and they did a phenomenal job. Our technician, Miguel, was fantastic. He was incredibly quick but didn't sacrifice quality for speed--he was thorough from start to finish. Super professional, efficient, and highly recommended! read more

Great company. Prompt. Professional. Reasonable price. Will use again. Miguel was super nice. He installed 2 switches.

Gabriel showed up on time, was very knowledgeable, He looked over the job and offered me an alternative method to accomplish my task, that made more sense , offered a better result without a concern about future failure. I authorized them to do their alternative, and a couple hours later it was done and in a good workmen manor. I will use them again. read more

Excellent service, very communicative company, and the technician was friendly and knowledgeable. The one thing I didn't like was the $99 service fee. It does get applied to any work done, but I felt locked in to this company without being able to do research, no matter what the tech said/did. (Ended up being fine, got a competitive price for replacing a couple light switches, but I still would have liked to have the option of declining service if it sounded like an easy fix.) read more
