I hired Electric Lee for two tasks: Installing three smart light switches and an exterior outlet. The exterior outlet appears to be have been done properly. However, all three smart light switches were incorrectly wired. Two big (and appalling issues): #1 He didn't bother to connect the ground wire and #2) He didn't bother to read the terminal labels and connected the 'load' wire to the 'traveler' terminal and not the 'load' terminal. This resulted in non-functional lights. I'd think the lack of ground is a code violation, and being so careless as to not even read the terminal labels is inexcusable. I reported the wiring issue and they promptly refunded my money for the switch portion of the work. While I appreciate the refund, the level of incompetency exhibited will steer me away from never using them again. In the attached photo you can see the unconnected ground wire. I already moved the load wire to the proper terminal. The electrician had the top black wire connected to the red terminal. I would have given one star, but the prompt refund bumped them up a star. read more

They installed it within an hour and everything worked perfectly, or so I thought. the ugly surprise came 1 year later when I got a huge electricity bill, and to my unpleasant surprise, I realized that my Solar was turned off. Rich came by on time, was very professional, and thoroughly explained what needed to be done for each item on the list. He fixed a breaker that had popped out, connected seven smoke detectors that had to be hard-wired, and fixed some electrical wiring in our house. The work was done well, and no mess was left behind. We wanted to replace some GFCI outlets and Lee and friends quoted us $600 for 3 outlets and 2 hours of work. When the job was done it came under for a total of ~$450. We were very pleased with the affordability. Other places like Premo Electric quoted us $1k per GFCI outlet, which would have costed us $3k which didn't seem right to us for something that sounded relatively simple. Prices vary so much and it's hard knowing which companies are legit vs which ones will happily take an arm and a leg. So thankful for Lee and friends for making it affordable for people to make their homes safer. read more

I was looking for an electrician to help me install a new 30A circuit so that I can install a heat pump water heater in my garage. Reached out to several electricians with pictures of my panel and area I wanted the new circuit. Quotes were all over the place with some even recommending an entire panel upgrade from 200A to 400A. Devren reached out to me and walked me through what they would do including "optimizing" the use of my existing panel. The quote he provided me for the new circuit was also the lowest of all the quotes I received. I was so impressed, I asked him to also provide me a quote for a whole house surge protector and a new 120V outlet in the garage. The estimate Devren provided was still lower than all the other quotes I received. On the day of the install, Tyler and Marcus showed up on time early in the morning.
