We had them come out to fix our hot water heater. They did get it working, but that wasn't my issue. I noticed the breakers looked different so I asked if the solar was working. They changed it from 240v to 120v, for some reason. He looked at the meter and said our solar was working, when it wasn't. This lost us production and cost us hundreds, until we realized it wasn't working. I was able to check the line with a basic external electrical tester, the electrician could have done the same. He mentioned that they don't know anything about solar, so if you have solar, keep them far away! We had an estimate from them for more work, an electrical panel upgrade. It was $1k over other estimates from other highly rated electricians in the area, and from our electrician friend. They will also talk your ear off. I find that business that talk a lot about their business, also tend to charge more money. On top of all that, the owner called me regarding a poor review, and was a bit confrontational and manic going between "whatever helps you sleep at night" regarding my rating and "I will fire the guy responsible" regarding his employee telling us the solar was working, when it wasn't. We had Interwest Electric install three ceiling fans in our home. They had to do all of the electrical to the existing switches, which were not connected to anything. They put in dimmer switches and the ceiling fans, which have worked wonderfully. They were clean and didn't leave any mess behind. Our only "complaint" is the patchwork from where they had to put holes in the walls and ceilings (the size of a cantaloupe) weren't textured the same as the surrounding areas. So my husband had to sand them down and make them look nice before painting them. They also accidentally drilled a hole through our medicine cabinet, but immediately replaced it! read more
