We can't say enough great things about Tom and his sons. They were great. We had fans installed, outlets changes and added, and vanity mirrors and lights changed out. Top quality job. We would give 10 stars if it was possible. read more

Tom upgraded our main panel and rewired our entire 1500 sq ft house. He was great to work with and very thorough in fixing issues that came up in rewiring a house built in 1960's. Very patient with last minute requests to install additional lights. Also rewired our garage and installed a Tesla charger. He was thoughtful to clean up after each day because my wife and I were still living in the house during the rewiring. We also appreciate Tom's fair prices by end of project. Will definitely ask Tom and his son (Elijah) for future electrical needs. Thanks, Tom! read more

Horton Electric - New 200amp main panel - Electricians Near Me

I wish i had taken a before and after for the sake of yelp! All I can say is that if you are torn, go with Horton! Tom is responsive, kind, and knowledgeable. He wasn't dirt cheap but he didn't inflate prices unreasonably. What we paid for was quality materials, outstanding labor, and peace of mind :) Highly highly recommend read more

Tom did a great job installing a new ChargePoint EV 50, Amp 240V, Level 2 charging station. The fuse box is on the second floor the the wiring had to be run up to the attic and down to the garage. I thought it was a complicated job, but Tom ran the wiring seamlessly. There were 3 holes in the wall from the job, but I was able to do the drywall work to repair. The place was left clean and the charger looks very neat and professionally installed. Installed May 22, 2020 and still extremely happy with the charger and the install. read more

Tom's been out to our place for two different jobs and he's great to work with. He walked us through different options for outlet placement and gave his recommendation, while leaving the choice up to us (that's so refreshing; other folks we've worked with often tell us exactly what we "should" do). Tom is super helpful, polite and a nice person to have in your home. He's prepared and had all the right materials for both jobs and squeezed us in quickly when we had an issue in the kitchen. We absolutely recommend Tom and will work with him again! read more

I bought a ring floodlight camera and contacted Tom for installation because there were no existing wires. He gave me a fair quote after i found him on yelp and decided to set up an appointment. Upon Arriving, Tom was very friendly and gave an exact break down of what was going to be done and how. Tom got to work diligently and thoroughly as he ran the wires thru my garage and installed light. Overall he did an awesome job and i am happy with the work. I highly recommend him for any type of residential electrical work. read more

When it comes to excellent work at a very reasonable price, you really can't go further. What I love most about Horton electric is that despite being a family owned business, the attention to detail is amazing. I love supporting small business like this one because Tom(the owner) prides himself with his work and his knowledge. You can clearly see the passion. I went out to get quotes from multiple companies, they all said the exact same thing Tom did except they almost quoted me 3 times as much. Tom was able to meet all the prices, he was on time, and the work was done flawlessly. He installed my Tesla wall charger, he came to my complex. Took measurements and gave me a full invoice and within mins of getting an invoice I agreed. I tried all of Tesla's preferred partners (electricians) and to me Horton electric by FAR was the quickest, easiest and smoothest transaction I've ever done. Thanks again Tom, I appreciate you getting it all taken care of for me within a few days notice. Thanks a lot! I'm amped up 24:7 now. read more

I have looked for a quality electrician for over 30 years and finally found "the" electrician I'll use from now on out. Tom (the owner) is knowledgeable in all areas of electrical work, fast and honest. He took care of the issue I was having and quickly spotted and fixed other potential future problems. I now am having him give me advise and quotes to change and improve our outdated lighting fixtures to more efficient and energy saving devices. His pricing was a bonus, less per hour and he was super efficient with his time. On top of everything, Tom is a really sincere fellow who cares about what you need. A real find in today's world of high priced arrogant tradesmen who are only interested in how much they can get away with. Thank you Tom, I'll be calling you again! read more

Had a few outlets I had to move or remove. It was for a closet project and Tom readily weighed my options even though he really didn't have to. He was professional and knows his stuff. He did the job quickly and cleaned up thoroughly although it was already past 7pm. I casually asked him about my chandelier that had a switch that was heating up and he offered to switch out the lights to LED lights and install a dimmer. This was something that my first electrician couldn't figure out! He made good on his promise and turned up 2 weeks later. Going forward, he'll be my go-to for anything electric. read more

Need 240V outlet. Tom took time to explain and did good work. Highly recommend and will hire again.

Tom answered my call and provided me with a reasonable and competitive flat rate quote for installing a ceiling fan. He came out to do the work, covered all surfaces with protective plastic, wore a mask the whole time and completed the work in a few hours. I am thrilled with our fan and with the service Tom provided. Highly recommend. read more

I've had the same general contractor for 12 years but found out he retired the last time I reached out to him for a quote. He referred me to Tom Horton for the 220 volt wiring quote I needed to setup a second clothes dryer at home. Tom was communicative, punctual, professional and friendly. The job turned out to be something simple and Tom took care of us right then and there. He "hooked us up"! Thanks so much Tom! You're our go to electrician from here on out. I highly recommended Horton Electric! read more

Tom Horton is professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Tom installed a Ring doorbell and had a few tutorials for me. Went through Home Depot Pro service and was given a couple of names . Tom was the second to respond to our request . The first company quoted over the phone but Tom took the time to come out , go over the job and then offered a quote . Took an immediate liking to him , even though his quote wasn't the lowest , decided he was who i wanted to complete the job . Worth every penny !!! He was installing an outlet at the back of my mobile home for a jacuzzi tub and installing floodlights . He did an outstanding job . Not just completing the job but doing it very professionally with all pipes secured and strapped . Knew the best floodlights to use with controls both inside and outside the house . Even helped me figure out a stupid fan i had in the house and how it actually worked !! Again i would highly recommend Tom for any electrical work you might have , I certainly will use him again when the need arises , Thanks Tom appreciate the great work . read more

Tom recently installed a chandelier in our home for a great price combined with quick and efficient service. His demeanor was very friendly and professional and we will DEFINITELY be using him for any future electrical needs! read more

Tom Horton was very professional and was referred by Home depot. I highly recommend him as he knows his stuff. I had another electrician to check the wiring for my doorbell and they had mentioned it was going to coat $125. Horton just checked it and fixed the wiring and said that there was no need to run any wirings and that it was just wired incorrectly. He helped set up my Ring doorbell and made sure it was functioning right before leaving. He also mentioned that I don't need a chime as my phone would suffice. However, if I wanted one that I could purchase a Ring chime brand and that I could exchange what I originally purchase for it. read more

We just had 4 ceiling fans which all required new wiring done by Tom and he did a truly fantastic job. I'm a total control freak, so I was nervous to leave my husband to oversee the job when I had to go out of town. I was SO impressed with what I came home to, and my husband totally raved about what a great job Tom had done. I won't hesitate to use him again in the future, as well as recommend him to friends and family. Give him a shot, I'm so glad that we did! read more

Tom did a great job replacing my 40 year old electrical panel. He gave a competitive quote online and stuck with it through installation. So glad I chose to work with Tom! He showed up quickly and he thoroughly checked each outlet, we live in a pretty big house so there were many outlets to open up. I was nervous to hire an electrician. But Tom so VERY patient with me and my numerus questions. I even called his insurance company to make sure he had worker's comp and liability insurance. He installed a upgraded service for my home in one day. He pulled the permit, and met with the inspector. I know he is not over priced, or cutting corners on my jobs. He is clean, neat, no high pressure to sign a contract. I hate when some men treat me like I don't know what I am talking about. Like I am a girl, so I must be stupid or something. Tom doesn't do that. I am just a person with a job that needs to be done. Very personable, and friendly. I like that. read more

Very professional and expedient. He arrived on time and worked the install of my EV charger into my existing garage with great precision and alacrity. He also found that some of my breaker panels were obsolete and not to UL spec for my box, we elected for him to replace them on the spot and he got that done. I was blown away by how much knowledge and care he put into my little job, when we get another 240v line installed this summer for a window a/c I am giving him the job without hesitation. He made my family who is not comfortable with any electric feel that our safety is greater since he came out to our house. Highly recommend retaining his services. read more
