Thank you Jose for such great service today.Excellent customer service. Very thorough work.

I wish I would've of read all of the bad reviews before hiring them. Guy who came to my house said he was the main boss. He was the nicest, till I needed his help. I called and he didn't even bother to call me back. They wrongfully charged me TWICE. The second time, I call the company, because that's what "the boss" told me to do. Rude lady says "you haven't paid nothing to us" I told her I had proof they charged me $75 last Friday even though I had cancelled. She kept saying I had the wrong number. Horrible company. I never write reviews. But I needed to tell everyone how untrustworthy alta pest is. stay away from them read more

High pressure sales. Man came in back yard after dark uninvited and began a high pressure sales pitch on my elderly wife who has dementia. Convinced her to sign up by refusing to take no for an answer and pressured her to sign up by continuing to lower the price. She was afraid and agreed to sign up to get rid of him . read more

If I can leave a zero star, I would. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Alta Pest Control. I signed up expecting reliable service, but unfortunately the issues I had were never properly addressed. During service visits, mud was left throughout my driveway and front porch, leaving my husband to clean up the mess afterward. The ant problem in my front yard was not resolved, and the rodent trap that was supposed to be placed was not done until I personally followed up and asked about it. The fly issue I originally contacted them about was also never properly addressed. I was also told by the representative that I would receive a free attic inspection after mentioning concerns I had noticed, but nobody ever contacted me to schedule it. On top of the service issues, I had serious concerns with billing. My payment was supposed to be processed on the 5th but was taken out on the 23rd, which caused financial issues and overdraft fees. Then, just four days later, an additional $440 charge was charged to my account that I did not authorize or approve. I was extremely frustrated and concerned that I had to spend so much time trying to resolve charges that I did not agree to. I requested to cancel my service because of the ongoing problems, poor communication, and lack of follow-through. I expected better customer service, better communication, and for the issues I reported to actually be addressed. Unfortunately, my experience with Alta Pest Control has been very disappointing. read more

My parents requested wasp removal from their home, and after multiple attempts, the problem still hasn't been fixed. My dad has had to climb onto the roof several times to deal with the issue himself--something we should not have to do after paying for this service. This company provides terrible service. They charge an annual fee but fail to deliver results. Not worth your time or money! Save your money and call a reputable company like US Pest or Orkin instead. Check their Facebook page--our experience is clearly not the only bad one. read more

The service technicians were friendly, helpful and knew what they were doing. The product they used was immediately effective and killed for another week or so but with rain or watering ceased to be effective long term. They do come out for free reapplication of the pesticide in between quarterly appointments but only in 2 week intervals. pretty good service but my issues are with the contract and cost. My contract was for $60 a month for one year with them coming out once a quarter for treatment, that's $180 a visit with a $350 early cancellation fee. I called up the day before my contract expired to tell them I wasn't going to renew for another year yet because the bugs in the winter months are not that bad and expected to pick up the service again in the spring. The representative said there would be a $350 cancellation fee unless I waited till the next day. Apparently, I had to call on the very last day of the contract to cancel. Bare in mind, all monthly fees have been paid and now more services could have been provided, they just wanted an additional $350 dollars. Poor business practice in my opinion. The cost of treatment is pretty high as well. For the price Alta was charging me I could use a gallon of pesticide every week and the fire ant bait every 2 months and it would still be cheaper than there 4 applications. (Lowe's carries everything I needed) To sum up, if you can't do it yourself and money is not a concern for you then they have a good product. On the other hand, if you don't like a "gotcha" contract and want "good value" for your money then look elsewhere. read more

Getting a service from this company would be your worst financial mistake and a nightmate. Be careful, whatever their salesperson tells you about the package cost is a lie. When signing a contract the price I was given for a year was signing fee + 320$. Apparently, they started to charge me 82$ per month. Over the period of 3 months I have been charged 500$+ and got only 1 service. Worst company there. read more

I signed a contract in Nov 2025 and the first application was done that same day. Then, I had to contact them every other month to even come out. They NEVER called to schedule a single bi-monthly. They actually changed the dates of (3) of them for "scheduling protocols" and even missed my May 2026 application and re-scheduled for June. It's a clown show over there: not enough workers, you sit on hold for 20-30 minutes at a time, and I'll never renew with them. Also, not worth the $800 plus a year for every other month applications. read more

This is a scam of a company! Do not use! They lock you into a contract and then disappear. Tried to call them for an appointment and they put me on a call back and still waiting after 2 days!! DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!! WASPS ARE STILL HERE! I would like to give this company a negative rating! read more

Alta Pest Control - Wasps still here!! - Pest Control Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

I signed up for their service at $59/month and specifically asked the sales rep if there were any cancellation fees. He told me "all you have to do is call" to cancel and said everything was in the contract but never disclosed the $300 cancellation penalty. When I called to cancel, I was hit with a $300 fee and told this was because I'm canceling within 12 months. I even asked them to review the original call, and they admitted the rep never mentioned the fee, but they still charged me because "it's in the contract." This feels very misleading and a poor way to do business. If you're considering this service, know that if you cancel before 12 months, you will pay $300 even if they fail to disclose it verbally. read more

100% recommended, the technician that serviced our home was very professional, explained everything he was going to do, very satisfied with the work these guys do. read more

Do not waste your time or money on this company. They WILL trap you in a year long contract and charge you +500 dollars or whatever "discount" they give you on your first service for not wanting to complete it. not to mention, they have a habit of not even showing up when they schedule themselves to, and they won't say anything about it unless you catch it... read more

My daughter has been paying this company monthly, yet their original pest problem has only gotten worse. Despite multiple service calls, they now have ants and spiders not only throughout our yard and home, but also inside their car. This has created a serious safety concern--we can't even strap in our one-year-old and five-year-old into their car seats without fear of them being bitten. When she called for emergency service and asked if anything more could be done, the customer service representative, Salem, was unhelpful, unsympathetic, and dismissive. She would not allow her to speak with a manager and even questioned why this was a concern--showing no understanding or care for the potential harm to my children. I have an ant problem and called her for a referral but when she told me about yesterday's offer of a lower price subscription rate instead of offering to handle the issue and then today's call with Salem showing lack of compassion for children and poor customer service we decided to handle it ourselves. No point in paying a company who doesn't seem to care. read more

I do not recommend. The customer service is great and responsive but the follow through, on actual service, fails for this company. I am currently on a 1 year contract after buying a house that had a flea infestation. Contract is pay monthly, regurlar scheduled visits quarterly, and as many other visits as required to solve any bug issues. Initially when I contracted with them they said coming out every 5 days until the problem was gone, and then quarterly was not problem. Once I signed up, I had to argue with them to get them to come back in under two weeks. I did get them to come back 7 days after the second treatment for the third. That seemed to kill off the fleas for the short term. I am assuming the fleas are coming into my property from neighbors because after about 30 days, they show back up. Took a couple of months to figure that out. So I worked with Alta to come up with a plan to come out every 30 days. Of course they forget, and I had to call them as they skipped a month and the fleas came back. They came back at the end of February 2025, and as of today I had to call them as the fleas are back, and they did not come for 2 months. The guy today, was insistent that they did not agree to come monthly and that I needed to call them for each and every service. I discovered by law, they must provide you the information on the chemicals they use. I just purchased those, a sprayer, and respirator on Amazon. All for under $200, while I pay them $57 a month for 12 months. It seems to be way easier and cheaper to do it yourself. read more

Unbillable service, They care more about a customer getting out of a contract then they do about the service they provide and expect $380.00 to get out of a contract that they cant even hold up to there end. LET ME BE CLEAR WE HAVE NOT SEEN ANY DIFFRANCE IN YARD OR INSIDE HOUSE NOTHING ABSOLUTLY NOTHING!!!!! I called to cancel service was told ill get a free month of service and a Sinor tech will come out and take a look that didn't happen so they called me to advise me that some one was coming out to take a look and again I asked to cancel asked she told me I couldn't I asked to speak to a manager she would not put me though to one, I called the office number back and finally got a manager on the phone told him the issue and that there treatments are doing nothing at all around the house or inside the house said I have a contract for 18 months that they have it on video and if I want out I will have to pay 380.00 then I get a text that payment is expected with in 30 days or they are sending to collections lol Well hell I have Pics and videos of all the ants and bugs in the yard that they didn't do there end of this so called contract I DO NOT RECOMMEND THERE SERVICE TO ANYONE!!!!! read more

I had just started renting a home when a salesmen for Alta offered their services as I was leaving for work. The salesmen intentionally leave out key details: you can't cancel the services for 12 months or you have to pay a ridiculous fee of $400, and you don't have access to all the services listed if you rent(you need the homeowner present for any inspections). The salesmen push you to sign on the spot, then rely on the predatory contract to keep you locked in. You can't cancel through the online portal, you have to write them a hand signed letter or call their number and wait on hold for a representative. The representative was nice and cancelled without haggling, but the shady contract and intentionally misleading salesmen ruin whatever merit this pest company might have. They do a good job on the first visit, but in later visits they'll literally only spend 5 minutes on site. Overall, they're just mediocre at pest control, which would make me want to give them 3 stars, but the predatory sales tactics have earned them a 1 star. Based on other reviews this business relies on unhappy customers locked into a contract to keep them afloat, which would explain why the salesmen are so pushy. read more

Justin just finished a rodent inspection he was very polite and professional very nice guy and service was above and beyond

TERRIBLE customer service. I have been rescheduled multiple times and my pests are everywhere. Called to cancel; and was told they won't cancel because I signed a contract. They will get you in a contract but never deliver on what they are supposed to do on their end. I am so disgusted.
