I have used this company for 14 years but it stops now. On the day of my scheduled service the technician did not show up within their two hour window. I called and got AI who said I was not on the schedule that day. i called a different number and got AI again who now said the technician couldn't get in the subdivision because of a major accident at the entrance. There was no accident- I drove up and looked. I sent text messages which again received AI response. They sent one saying my service needed to be rescheduled so I requested a different day. Their response to that was to send me an invoice with a technicians note about the fictitious accident. Then they sent one asking for a review. Five days later and still have not received a call back from a live person. I dont know what has happened to this company but I would not recommend them and will not be using them again. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Pro Defense Pest Control. I was originally scheduled for service on 08/25 at 2:30 PM, but on the day of service I received a text that it had to be rescheduled to 08/28 at the same time. Then, the day before I was notified the technician would instead arrive at 5 PM, a different time than promised. I stayed patient, but on the actual day I received another message saying the technician couldn't make it at all. At that point, I decided to completely cancel my services. Their response was to offer to reschedule the following week for free, while also telling me that if I switched to another company, I'd be charged "market value," which they claimed is higher than their pricing. For me, it's not about the price. I can afford to pay more. What matters is consistency and reliability, especially since I have to take time off work to let someone onto my property. I understand one reschedule, but twice and then a last-minute cancellation is unacceptable. I only found this company through a quick Google search, but I wouldn't recommend them. I have just terminated my services with Pro Defense Pest Control in San Antonio. Their in-house communication in non existent. I'm a retired home owner so basically always home. My back yard gate is always locked for safety reasons. I hired this company last month to do quarterly pest control services. They came out and sprayed front and back yard and the inside of the house. Good service that day. But then it went downhill. I called them back to come out and respray the back yard cause I'm still getting a few bugs coming in through my patio doors. A new tech came by and sprayed the front yard again but didn't spray the back yard. I was home and he didn't bother to ring the doorbell or knock so that I could unlock the gate. Once gain I called to have them come by and spray the back yard. Tech came by today. He didn't knock or ring doorbell. He sprayed the front yard AGAIN. No back yard spray. At this point my front yard has been sprayed 3 times. A bit of overkill and crap customer service. Done with this company. Good luck if you hire them. read more

Do not use this company! I had put my account on hold and was told all I had to do was call back to turn it back on well they changed my account and I was not expecting it so I called and "no one knew" how that happened. I asked them to have a manager call me back, they said sure. No one ever called back. I called again and they said a manager would call me back on Monday well this was last Monday and I have yet to hear from anyone. Don't even bother. I didn't feel like it helped the pest problem anyway. read more

A company representative came to our door at 9 pm. This was after coming by twice during the day and repeatedly ringing the doorbell. When my daughter answered the late night guest at our front door, I interceded and told him that it is late to be coming around and we are not interested. He proceeded to keep talking and asking questions about whether our home is being treated and if so, by whom. I told him again that we are not interested and the status of our pest control is not his concern. He then became combative and I ended up closing the door on him. Perhaps Pro Defense should train their door to door sellers on basic courtesy and common sense. Interrupting at 9 pm and refusing to take no for an answer is not a good look. read more

Talked with Cody at the office several times and he assured me someone was scheduled to come out. No one ever called or showed. Pro defense seemed like a decent company, I never read any reviews from anyone else regarding the situation we had, but they sure did talk a big game. Treatment was very ineffective, and they do not stand by their work, I would definitely use a different pest-control company for your needs. The ProDefense team has been great to work with. They are courteous and professional. However, today, I had Mitch come out to service my home. He took his time and was respectful as he entered my home (he removed his wet shoes before entering). He made sure that he addressed all my concerns and answered all my questions. He was not in a rush and did a fantastic job! One recommendation that I spoke with Mitch about was the fact that ProDefense doesn't always send the same service technician. I'd love to see ProDefense send Mitch out to my home each time. I believe that it is extremely valuable to establish a relationship with individuals who enter your home. If ProDefense would make this change, it would add to their excellent customer service. read more

I would not use Pro Defense! Unfortunately we had bedbugs. This company said that they deal with this all the time and that their treatment was effective. They had us go through so many steps to prepare our house for treatment, basically it's like you're moving. You pack up your entire house pretty much. Now after treatment and a follow up, we still have bedbugs. We've only ever seen them in one room, and when they first came out they said it was a very mild case and it should be very easy to take care of. But now that we still have them a few weeks after the initial treatment, they basically said were out of luck. They said since it's been 30 days since the initial treatment, they are not responsible. But every other company I've talked to so far said that's ridiculous because you must come out and inspect thoroughly for eggs and activity after the initial treatment, which all they did was come out and spray around the baseboards a couple weeks after the initial treatment. There was no inspection for activity. It sucks that companies these days do not stand by their work. read more
