I'm probably one of the only grooms writing a review for this amazing wedding planning team, but they deserve a shoutout because they're all rockstars. My wife and I started planning our wedding with the Stardust team in 2019 with our wedding originally scheduled for 2020. COVID happened and so it got pushed out to 2021. This meant that we worked closely with the Stardust team for 2 whole years, and they kept us organized (but most importantly calm) throughout the entire process. Laura was our Lead planner, and she is highly efficient, communicative, organized, basically everything you'd want in a wedding planner. She answered all of our questions throughout all kinds of odd hours and helped us bring the wedding vision we had in our mind to reality. I'm sharing this so other brides can make an informed decision and avoid a similar experience. I flew across the country with family for a 90-minute appointment, which required a significant investment of time and money. 90 minutes was the only appointment time offered, and extending it required booking and paying for a second appointment. Since they do not take appointments on Sundays and mine was scheduled for a Saturday, that was not an option. The staff selected a few dresses for me to try, none of which I liked. There was one specific dress I traveled there to see, and when I tried it on, I wasn't completely sold. One of the employees (not Dina) said, "Well what is it that you want then?" in a way that felt dismissive. I had only tried on five dresses total, yet I felt pressured to make a decision due to the limited time and the staff appearing visibly frustrated. The shop advertises itself as a customizable dress studio, but based on my experience, the only customization offered was the shape of the neckline. During try-ons, I was asked to stand on a platform, which made the dress appear to be the correct length. In reality, the final dress was much too long, requiring an additional $1,000 in alterations. The sample dresses I tried on had a more modest neckline, which is what I wanted. However, when I picked up my finished dress, the neckline was significantly lower and could not be corrected. This affected many of my wedding photos, and throughout my wedding day I felt uncomfortable and was constantly adjusting a very heavy dress. During checkout, the next appointment arrived and the employee completing my purchase rushed through the process and provided minimal explanation. Only one measurement was taken (shoulder to waist), which I later realized should have raised concerns. At the time, everything felt very rushed, and I did not recognize this until after paying the deposit. In total, I spent approximately $10,000 on the dress and subsequent alterations, and I was extremely unhappy with both the final result and the overall experience. Based on the way this business is presented on Instagram and TikTok, my expectations were very different. I recommend other brides carefully consider their options and choose a place where they feel fully supported and valued throughout the process.

TLDR:…read more2/5 of our tuxes did not fit our bridal party (2 days before the wedding), they were extremely rude and showed no remorse or apologies for our situation, when they imputed the wrong sizes into the machine. They also gave us the wrong shoe color. Do you want to worry about none of the tuxes being right 2 days before the wedding? I don't think so. My experience with the Jos a Bank tuxedo rental was my own personal hell. First I called and asked about renting tuxes, they said first we could come in and pick out a set to rent before having our groomsmen in to get measured. I asked if we could do both steps at once and they said NO. Only the bride and groom were allowed to come in and pick out their colors/tuxes, then later everyone could come get measured. This is so strange to me because anyone who is planning a wedding knows it's easiest to get everything done at once. We finally pick out the tux we would like to rent for the wedding and set up a day with our groomsmen to get measured and get their rentals in. Once arriving with our bridal party we were rudely greeted.. "why did you all come at once" with an annoyed tone and eye roll from the older woman. I expressed to her "this is what we were told to do??" Anyway, we get our tuxes ordered, all measured by who I assume is the second manager. Then the boys are trying on black shoes and I say to the man "oh, we need dark brown shoes, not black" The man assured me that the shoes the men were trying on were only samples and they would have dark brown shoes. We leave and wait for the tuxes to arrive. 4 days before the wedding we are starting to get very worried about the tux arrival, when we call they express to us our tuxes will be in 2 days before the event. This immediately upsets me because what if something goes wrong? And I assure you, if something can go wrong it will. My fathers (6'6") tux , and my grooms (6'4") tux BOTH did not fit, they were INCHES short!! This created so much panic for me two days before the wedding day. Meaning we had only ONE day to fix this situation as day 2 was the wedding day. The staff showed no remorse, apologies, or any sort of emotion to our dilemma. They simply stated they would reorder the tuxes and have them shipped over night.. great but at this point my faith is VERY low considering my fathers and grooms tuxes were both measured by different men. How could I trust these could be right? Not only this, but the shoes were BLACK! I expressed to the man "you said they would be dark brown" and he said to me "we don't have dark brown" WHAT. Then WHY on earth did you tell us you did the month before?!? So there was nothing they could do about this, the shoes were a patent leather black (with our navy tuxes, ew) A simple apology for all of this would have at least redeemed them some stars but these guys seem to be SO prideful they couldn't even manage to apologize- instead just take credit for fixing the mistake that they made in the first place. They require the tuxes to be back the day after the wedding (lol) or a $20 late fee for everyday they aren't back. This to me just seems like a way to up-sell the price. The window for this rental is simply too short, and too much can go wrong. I would not recommend this company for tuxedo rental to my worst enemy. This was a complete nightmare to deal with the day before my rehearsal dinner and two days before my wedding. Jos A Bank employees- learn to apologize and take responsibility for your actions as opposed to treating your clients as if they are annoying for having you fix your mistakes.

But why? 1. They have mega sales constantly. Never pay full price here, you're getting ripped off. I opted for the buy 1 at full price, get 2 free Labor Day sale. 2. Selection is amazing, tons of different colors and fabrics. 3. My brothers all said their stuff holds up. 4. The in-store customer experience was great. So much so that I went in early just to try stuff on and buy it online, where I thought the sale was taking place. When I told them that they said they'd not only honor the online sale in store, they'd honor it early. Bingo. All this considered, I left with three suits, 6 dress shirts and 3 ties for under $1000. That might seem like a lot of money, but these are good quality, good looking suits. And considering this will last me a good year or two of every day wearing, I'm a happy dude.

I came in a day early to pick up my tux and did not like the jacket's fit. Don remeasured and had a proper-fitting jacket for the next day. All the other items fit well. I felt the jacket and pants were slightly on the worn side- not bad, but not as crisp and sharp as I expected. I could see this was a rental by the way the sleeves and pant legs are altered. I haven't rented a tux in a long time, as I have had my own for many years, but sadly, I "outgrew" my most recent. So that is to say I've been spoiled by custom-fit tuxes since after I married 40+ years ago, until this one. Maybe I'm being too harsh? I will still recommend them, just be sure you go a day before you need the tux to pick it up in case it needs tweaking.
