Little did I know I would walk out with my dream dress! I had initially picked out satin dresses to try on. They made sure not to weigh in and encouraged me alone to make a decision on a dress that made me feel beautiful. I ended up asking for Janelle's recommended since I was not sure about the dresses I picked. I tried on Janelle's pick and felt so beautiful and elegant in it. It was the dress for me and I couldn't leave it there! And it was actually cheaper and in my budget than the other dresses! I felt so happy and supported by everyone there! I spoke with the Manager that day about a return. She was very unhelpful and dismissive. She just kept saying "I'm sorry, that's our return policy and we don't have to disclose any return policy when you make a purchase." So I want to help all future costumers so you don't experience what I experienced. Ask ask ask about the return policy and all that it entails before purchasing something. They don't disclose any return policy upfront and reference this small paper frame they have about returns at the counter after the purchase has been made. It's so small I missed it when I was purchasing. I speak from personal experience so take my suggestion if need be. read more

Came to shop and find a dress but the consultants were rude, pushed me to look at dresses around me and then came back and tried to act as if nothing happened. I will be looking elsewhere and should be pressing charges but am deciding to just look in another store. We were happy with the overall dress purchase experience. My daughter found the dress of her dreams. The alterations department, however is another story... DO NOT GET ANY alterations done at the David's Bridal in Arlington. They are completely incompetent. We did the fitting and then had to return 3 times to get the dress fixed, and it was still not the way we wanted it. Management refused to give back any kind of decent refund based on our experience. We spent $877 on the alterations. I had another daughter who had a dress altered there last year, and they attached the dress off center, so that had to be fixed as well. They do not measure anything, they eyeball everything. I will NEVER go back to this store. read more

Five star service and we didn't even have an appointment. We're also self sufficient so all we needed was a plan and a direction and the rest was easy. It was a rather cold gloomy weekday when I decided to take my matron of honor out to dress shop for my upcoming wedding. Normally I'm not a fan of a big chain when it comes to weddings, but David's Bridal ended up being perfect for us. I have one attendant in Houston and one in Florida so I really needed a place that both of them could go to once the decision was made. They have lots of dress selections so we found one after just a few tries. The color I picked was not in the store on anything so I bought the swatch and will hope for the best. The dress was made and delivered in 28 days! All my MOH has to do now is get it altered. The prices are reasonable too. I joined Diamond loyalty, which is free, and my girls got $20 off their dresses and 10% off accessories. I didn't get my wedding dress there but appreciated the perks. The shoe choices are plentiful and we all ended up with the same shoes. I didn't require it but we all liked them and they happened to be under $40! Combine that with the 10% discount and Bam! I've been dancing in these shoes practicing for my first dance and they are a great choice and don't hurt my feet. They ladies who helped us and checked us out were so nice and helpful. read more

Never again! I was overcharged on a regular priced dress and in order to fix THIER mistake, I was told I must go into their store (I live far) and take the original receipt and the unworn dress with the tags still intact. If I wear the dress, I cannot recover the money I was overcharged. Since I cannot wear the dress, I'm wearing another and thought I could then return the dress altogether. NOPE! My first experience while looking for my wedding dress was okay. The woman that was helping us told us she had two brides so we had to wait on her a lot. Another woman came by to help and when I wanted to look at head pieces, I asked one of my bridesmaids to come look with me and the lady said, "I want just YOU to look at them, I want you to pick something that YOU like, not your friend." Isn't that the whole reason for having your support with you? To look at different things and have some input? I had my shoulders altered and larger bra cups put in and scheduled an appointment to have it hemmed once I chose my shoes. I had an appointment to get it hemmed at 10:30 when they opened. As usual, I was early to the appointment but waited in my car until 10:25 when I saw them unlock the door for someone else. I walked up to the store and the door was locked again. I stood at the door and had 4 women walk past and look at me and ignore the fact that I was standing at the door. At 10:30 another employee was banging on the door so that someone would let her in and when the woman opened the door she said, "it's a minute early but you can come in." If it's such a big deal to wait and open the doors at exactly 10:30 then maybe appointments should start at 10:45. I decided to take my dress elsewhere to get altered since the staff here is not the most welcoming. Update: I tried my dress on at a different alteration place and the alterations from David's Bridal were horrible. DO NOT GET YOUR BEAUTIFUL DRESS ALTERED HERE! The shoulder was literally just folded over and stitched with all the material folded on top of my shoulder and the bra cups were not stitched in properly and were causing the lace to bunch up on my chest. All of the alterations were undone and they refused to give me a refund. As I waited for the alterations to be undone, Juliana, who I think is supposed to be a manager, asked one of the other employees in a rude tone, "Do you have a problem?" The employee seemed confused and Juliana kept going on. So not only are they rude to their customers but it sounds like a terrible place to be employed as well. Worst customer service experience. I tried to return an undergarment. The rep at the front was rude. I had my receipt, I was within time frame allowed per store policy for returns. The rep flipped over the return for about 5 minutes then tells me she can't accept the return due to the item not being in original condition. Although it was, I left the store feeling very uncomfortable about the encounter as she truly didn't have a valid point not to accept the return. Boy.. this place.. where to start. First off, they have a very loose definition of the word "appointment." You'll need to expect to wait up to 30-45 minutes past your appointment time before anyone can help you. But if you are over 10 minutes late for your appointment time, it's cancelled. A little hypocritical. Plus, everyone is waiting, so you're surrounded by a bunch of bridezillas and grumpy bridesmaid in a small, cluttered environment. Also, those poor sales assistants are run ragged. They are assigned two parties at a time, so they're constantly running around, getting sizes, finding accessories, zipping people in and out of dresses. While not rude per se, they don't seem thrilled to be there, which I don't blame them. If you're looking for a special, boutique-type experience, you'll probably need to pay quite a bit more for your dress and go to an actual boutique. Although, David's Bridal is happy to also charge you thousands of dollars for a dress, if you're crazy enough to pay it. I'm not down on the products, when I got married in 2010, I purchased my dress online for $120 and it was shipped to my house where I could try it on the privacy of my room instead of 100 people watching you. I was able to ship back the ones I didn't want for free. That service is amazing and for the price, the dress was a dream. I don't subscribe to the notion of "you're a special princess on your big day" thing anyway, but I do know there are enough women who do, so there's a market for this type of thing. I just think, if that's what you're trying to be as a bridal store, they fall very short on the experience side. It's a zoo in there on weekends and feels extremely rushed and chaotic. First off let me say I had the best bridal consultant. Myranda was supportive and gave lots of great feedback. I felt comfortable and confident. Throughout the process she was patient and understanding. After 5 dresses I was torn between two! Of course I fell in love with #1 but fell even more in love with the 5th final dress I tried on. When it came to looking at the specifics I stated I've been losing weight. With 1 month and 20 days left till my wedding I was anxious with alterations etc. I would like to give the lady that does alterations a 1 star. This low rating because she was extremely pushy. She wanted to make the dress bigger but of course this freaked me out because I know by my date I'll be down another 10 pounds so then i run the risk of it being too big. ( not a risk I was willing to take so close to my wedding date ) the halter top and bust area did need alterations BUT nothing that some cups placed on and a pin couldn't fix. The manager (I regretfully didn't get her name) was great. I think she could see it on my face that I wasn't feeling it. She came over and provided some input. Made me feel a lot better about my decision and validated my feelings. All in all I had a great experience and I would shop here again if I never needed to. I do plan to return and purchase the veil and petticoat before the wedding. Best news is today I left with my dream dress and I couldn't be happier. read more

I already knew the dress I wanted to try on when I made my appointment. It wasn't I. Stock and was told my size wouldn't be available to ship for at least 8 weeks. So I went with my second choice which is still beautiful and only a bit more expensive and they did have one in stock to try on. Unfortunately it was a size 4 and too small to zip up completely but I was able to get the idea and went ahead to buy it. The sales lady that helped me was adamant that I needed to size up to an eight. Obviously I trust her judgement more than mine but two sizes still seemed like a lot. My 8 comes in and I go to my fitting appointment. The seamstress herself asked why I didn't get a six. She is having to take in two inches everywhere on the very fitted dress. Add in a hem and a bustle and my alterations were just over $500. I'm sorry but that is ridiculous. That is hundreds of dollars more than my dress cost! I didn't even have embellishments on my dress. I understand that alterations are a lot of work but this seems ridiculous and added on an incredible cost to my dress and I felt kinda tricked into an 8. Looks like a 6 may have fit perfectly. All of the staff here was friendly and helpful but I really walked away feeling like I got suckered. I of course had budgeted for some alterations but not $500. Beware of alteration costs! ETA: my first choice dress just came across my email in an ad so I clicked on it for the heck of it. Wouldn't you know, my size is in stock and ready to ship. Bummer. read more

I came in on a Monday morning to look for a wedding dress I had saw online. I walked in and there was a lady in the front who did not even greet me. I usually don't care I just go in and look for what I need a get out. I continued around the store and I was alone but there were several workers in the store still no one said a single word. I was specifically looking for a Vera Wang dress to see it in person and so I'm going through the whole store to look for that brand's section. No one offered to help and suddenly no one was anywhere to be found. Once I found Vera Wang dresses I couldn't find my size so I left and as I leave the front lady who suddenly comes back out of nowhere THEN asks if I need assistance. Excuse me lady you see me walking towards the door? Was it my sweatpants or did I look too young to be taken seriously?? I've heard this store has the worse customer service. It's so true. First, with already having an appointment made, we waited to be taken back for 15-20 minutes. The girl helping me, Jada, didn't stop to ask what I envisioned for myself at the beginning of the appointment. Rather she asked if I liked any of the dresses there, which was fine, just very overwhelming with the amount of dresses in front of me. I wasn't liking any of the dresses she was putting me in and was almost to the point of tears because I was upset, so she went and spoke to her supervisor several times leaving me in the dressing room for extended amounts of time instead of leaving me with my party. Her supervisor and other stylists then came all at once saying I needed to put shoes on, or a necklace, or earrings, etc. I stated that I didn't want to wear heels or change my earrings and the supervisor scoffed at me. The supervisor also stated to me, while fastening the dress that was clearly too small for me, that I didn't need to be able to breathe in the dress. I was then showing them pictures of what style I was wanting and instead of kindly telling me that they didn't carry anything like that, they kept saying I needed to try this or that. Overall, I felt like my needs weren't being heard and I felt ambushed when they saw I wasn't happy. The lady at the check in desk was very nice and welcoming. We waited a few minutes before the SA came to get us. She put us in a dressing room (room 1) and it was a disaster! Only had one chair and it was in the middle of the aisle, so everyone and I mean EVERYONE had to walk in front of us. We had hardly any room to walk out and actually get to see the dresses without people walking in front. Next they didn't have the color available for the dress we wanted which we were told they had. So we decided to go with a metallic version instead. Whatever. No big deal. After I paid 350 for two dresses the SA didn't even say thank you or have a nice day. Nothing. While all of the other consultants knew their inventory and were helpful, Kayla understood my body build and knew EXACTLY how to fit me in a dress. Not only did I found "THE DRESS" but I found "THE PERFECT DRESS". Her expertise and assistance lead me to find and choose from not just 1 but 3 potentials of 'THE DRESS'. I was not greeted when I entered the store and there were at least 3 other women waiting to be helped. When an older lady came to the front she spoke with everyone and I did inform her I had an appointment but was not checked in or given the paper to fill out then. I could have the paper filled out for my consultant ahead of time. Not once was I asked what time my appointment was or what my name was. A few other ladies came in a little after that and were helped. I waited longer before I was checked in and finally given the paper to fill out with my information. Which was at least 20 minutes or later after my appointment to start. After the check in and paperwork I was informed to start looking at dresses for me to pick out and try on. I was overwhelmed because I had no clue what to look for or where to start. My consultant, Yvonne, came to speak to be briefly to find out what kind of dress I was looking for. I informed her that I was not sure what would look good on my body style and I had no clue what to look for. She informed me to pick out a few dresses that caught my eye to explain why I liked that one and to try on. While I was doing this she was getting my dressing room ready for me. Yvonne was very patient with me, very knowledgeable and professional. She picked out some dresses for me to try on as well. She found this one beautiful ivory lace dress for me to try one. It was the first one I tried on and loved it right away. There were two more contenders to that first dress but they didn't make the cut. Yvonne knew exactly when to give me my space to decide and was not pushy at all. She didn't help me with getting the dresses on which was fine with me because I'm body shy. I was happy that she allowed my sister to help me in the dressing room. I would prefer to give Yvonne the 5 stars because she made me feel beautiful no matter what body type was. A bunch of crooks! Make sure they measure you before ordering your dress. Especially if it's premade, they should have exact measurements of their gowns and order the one closest to you. But the manager gave me the excuse of they're not required to measure because it's not custom made. How on earth does that make sense? Then she blames ME for needing a dress so quickly that they don't have time to reorder a size one. THANKS FOR NOTHING. Angel knew I needed my dress in two weeks due to my fiancés immigration status. No funny pregnant business. So he just guessed and orders me a two. Now I did not argue since my real dress I bought at Classy Concept Bridals in Mansfield is a size two. But they measured me and ordered closest to my size and it's perfect. So I trusted David's bridal to know what they're doing. Well stupid me for trusting when I know I'm a size zero. My private wedding is in less than a week and I was extremely livid when they didn't offer any type of solution or apology OR FREE ALTERATIONS. The manager there is unprofessional and shouldn't work there is she doesn't enjoy her job. DONT BUY FROM HERE. They're a bunch of fake people and so polite until they screw up or until that final sale is made. Tomorrow I'm going to cooperate to ensure this does not happen to future brides. You would think because of an expensive store u would be treated Good and be dealing with professionals ! One of my bridesmaid went to get her dress and did not have the color in the store but they did have the style! Lady that helped her told her that they can order it in the color that she needed , and would get here A couple of weeks! My friend PAID for it ORDERED IT with time! After a few weeks of not getting the dress we called the store to see how much longer for the dress to get here since we had a photo shoot !! To our surprise they told us that the dress was not in stock!! (Remember she paid for it and ordered it since lady in store said we could order it in the color we needed) we explain to the representative and store manager that we ordered it and paid for it in advance because they said we were able to do that!!After a long argument with the store manager and corporate they were able to find a size bigger than the bridesmaid regular size and they were going to fix it to the bridesmaids size. We finally get the dress to our surprise as we Open the box and look at the dress it has black stains! My wedding is in one month my photo shoot is in one week and there's nothing that David's bridal can do!! Couldn't be happier with this location! Let me start by saying that I am NOT a girly girl. Meaning I don't like shopping or getting dressed up in girly clothes - let alone having to do both at once! I put off buying a bridesmaids dress for longer than I should have, and I knew I was going to be hard pressed to get what I wanted in time for a wedding in 6 weeks. I was right. But Krista C. came to my rescue! She was so amazingly helpful. The dresses I had found online and was interested in would need to be ordered, and they would take way too long to come in. So Krista searched their database for all the dresses they had in the right size and color that could be delivered in time, and she pulled examples of ALL of them for me to try on. I found a great dress that I never would have tried on otherwise. And best of all (for me, anyway), I was out of there in under an hour! Thanks Krista! I would give a one star except for the first time I went, to buy my dress, a guy named Angel helped me and was very friendly. but when I went again to buy my petticoat and my veil, I called to see if I should bring MY exact dress I had bought to try on with it, or if they could just put me in the sample of it in the store. The lady I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and unhelpful, she sounded young and had a major attitude. So she put me on hold, I waited THIRTEEN minutes before hanging up and recalled (figured maybe they forgot about me). A different, just as rude girl answered and put my on hold, this time for 23 minutes. NO joking, TWENTY minutes. Very disappointed in the Arlington location (in the Highlands). My mom returned a online purchase in store and decided to look for something else for her birthday dinner. After being assigned a stylist we discussed her concerns with sizes and this being our first visit, etc. We had no success in store but we found a size that may work online. We both experienced problems on our phone trying to order so the lady offered to help us order online. We picked the dress up and my mom realized it didn't fit. With gas prices being so high & we do not stay in Arlington we decided to return the dress 3 days after she picked it up as we had appointments that way. My mom went in but called me shortly after upset she was told she only had 7 days from the date she ordered the dress to return it although it took more than 7 days to arrive by mail. Contradicting that policy. I went in to see exactly was was wrong and Anna was very rude to me. She turned red, rolling her eyes and plain unprofessional. I asked the other manager name she spoke with in the back and she told me "my name is Anna that's all you need to know". They lady in line behind me said wow. I turned and said this has been her behavior since I walked in. She was very rude to my 65 year old mother and even more rude as the conversation went on. She told my mom to find something in the store during that visit or we would get nothing. We ended with a store credit but who would want to shop there after that type of treatment?! As the customer we had to show more restraint and professionalism than the staff. Not good representation of David's Bridal.
