For those who are curious, Haskap is a antioxidant rich berry with a taste profile that crosses a blueberry, raspberry, black current and elderberry sans the seeds. Haskap and Lemon was a big hit for me. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. It was nice, creamy and who knew that mixing berry and lemon together held a nice balance! We had a small wedding party, so we did a smaller cake and a lot of cupcakes, tiered. They turned out BEAUTIFUL. They had a flavor called "mEHple" and since maple syrup is also a Canada staple, we figured this would be a good pick. What we didn't notice was the chocolate drizzle that was on top of the maple syrup in the menu photo. The chocolate overwhelmed the entire dessert, and was a bit too much for our group. The pastry was good, crispy and flaky, but we really couldn't get through the entire thing without getting a huge bite of chocolate syrup. I think if they had put less chocolate, or even removed the chocolate altogether and just left the maple syrup, that would've been way better!
