It was nice that they had a nondairy option! Overall it was tasty and the servers were pretty helpful with samples and questions. There's not really anywhere to sit inside or out so it's more grab and go. It's pretty busy too. Take a pic of the moose out front! read more

I had a delicious salted caramel icecream scoop in a cup. It was some of the best vanilla icee cream I've ever had! The Carmel was great and not overpowering, the chocolate chunks in it really made the whole thing too. The lady that scooped for me was very nice and efficient. What a cute little store to get your ice-cream cravings satisfied! This store had many different flavors to choose from. I had two flavors I couldn't decide on so I tried the samples...it didn't help though because they both tasted amazing. I ended up getting both flavors. Service was very nice. The girl working there was friendly and patience especially with me and my friends taking a good amount of time deciding on the flavors to get and sampling what we were stuck on! After walking around downtown Canmore's town centre, we stopped for some ice cream at the Scoopin' Moose. My wife had a scoop of Rocky Road in a waffle cone and I had of scoop of orange/licorice in a cup. My choice was unusual but very tasty. My wife's choice was also very good. read more

Super disappointed in watching how one guy( short Asian looking dude) was treating the other staff. He was speaking to some of the girls in a rude manner. It's ice cream... shouldn't he be happy? Showed up for a milkshake today and was told "sorry, we have no milk". So you fail Scoopin Moose. You fail spectacularly. I'm no businessman but if I ran out of milk when advertising milkshakes, I'd go get some milk. 1 star because 0 not possible. read more

The only real issue I had is the line seems backwards. You can't get a good look AT the icecream if it is crowded. Although the menu describes the flavors, this does seem weird. They do have a lot of flavors (most of which are good and you can see them on the pictures of the menu) and their scoops are about the size of a tennis ball or slightly bigger. They have all sorts of deluxe dipped waffle cones which add some nice variety. I would ideally give them a 4.5 star but 4 star is where I'm leaving it due to the line issues. read more

Like everyone else has said the staff is rude, the place is expensive and the way the line is set up is ridiculous. The ice cream is commercial and cheaply made yet expensive and the have a ten dollar minimum on cards. I ordered a large soft serve and it was barley over the cone making me question what does a small look like? Is it even level with the cone? Avoid this place trust me read more

This business had bad customer service upon our visit yesterday. We were told we could not look at or sample the ice cream until we paid. The line weaves around so you cannot see the selections until after you order. Obviously the owners are assuming their customers are out to pull a fast one on them, sampling the ice cream without buying. This is not the way to run a business. read more

Nice selection of ice cream with friendly and helpful staff. They made waffle cones on site, and the smell drew us in. They had chocolate dipped waffle cones too, which were quite good. I had some berry and graham cracker crust I've cream, and others had red velvet cake ice cream, and Scoopin' Moose (Moose Tracks) ice cream. Looks like they source ice cream from Foothills Creamery. The ice cream was quite good. As a bonus, they have a ~6 foot tall stuffed animal moose (not taxidermy) that customers can pose next to for a picture. read more

There was no one in line yet the staff (especially one woman behind the counter with long brown hair) insisted that we had to pay before even looking or sampling the ice cream. For our last evening of our vacation, 3 of my friends and I decided to go grab some good locally produced ice cream. While the ice cream was okay, the service was Rude and impolite. The guy at the store wasn't interested in serving or letting us try flavours. How do you choose a flavour without trying? We were outrightly told that they would not let us try more than 3 flavours because they had a "really long" line (only 3 people were behind us and rest of the store was empty). I've never experienced such service in the ice cream community. If this was a policy they should have it up on a board saying the same. read more

The staff was rude and not accommodating. They refused to let us try more than 3 flavors as it would "hold up" the line. There were only 4 people behind us. We have been to much bigger chains like salt n straw, molly moons and the staff there is super friendly. Mediocre ice cream but can't say for sure since couldn't try multiple flavors, I felt rushed after my friend was refused to try more flavors. Gelato places in Italy that have thousands of tourists, have better customer service than them. read more

The ice cream is very buttery, too buttery for my taste. Milk shake was way over priced, almost 8 dollars for the large and it was tasteless, watery not enough ice cream in it for the price. The root beer float ice cream tasted like butter instead of milky and creamy, more like cream cheese than ice cream in my opinion. Won't be going back. read more

My husband and I were craving ice cream at 9pm so we decided to go to the scoopin' moose. We looked on their website to make sure they were open and it said they are open until 10pm year round, including holidays. So we packed up and left our hotel to go get ice cream but when we got there they were closed! We were disappointed but will probably try it before we leave. They had a sheet on the window with their fall hours but it would have been nice if they updated the website. read more
