This was one of the few coffee shops open around 9 a.m. on a Friday morning. It's a super cute spot with friendly staff. We ordered a hot chocolate, a latte, and a tofu sandwich--the sandwich was just okay, but everything else was good. I'd still recommend stopping by.

    Unique furniture.

A tranquil and quiet coffee shop and one with a small selection of sandwiches and wraps. They had soothing classical music on. We stopped in for a lunch comprising a tofu wrap and a turkey sandwich, both good and freshly prepared.

I went here after receiving some bad coffee nearby. I still had the two-thirds cup I was disrespectfully given at the previous place. I couldn't drink it. So I explained to the counter attendant what happened & asked her if she could dump the gross coffee & fill my cup with a nice medium roast. I'm so grateful for this place! This coffee is fantastic, and I definitely got the medium roast I ordered. It's a cosy little place with relaxing vibes. I'll be back here!

Been craving for soft serve ice cream since it was so warm outside while the hubby wanted iced coffee. Found this on Google as it wasn't available on Yelp yet -- the closed Yelp listing was Canary Yogurt and Coffee and they have since rebranded to Canary Coffee. Their soft serve is actually frozen yogurt but it really tastes like creamy soft serve ice cream that isn't too sweet. Love the swirl as you get to enjoy both flavours in one cup. Hubby's coffee float was really good too! The iced coffee base blended well with the vanilla soft serve. Coffee itself is light, balanced and not acidic. We really enjoyed Canary Coffee and actually came back the next day to get another fix: coffee float (for me) and iced coffee (hubby). Yum!! Definitely a must-try whilst in Canmore! Prices are fairly priced and the staff are really friendly too.

I had the apple pie pictured at the back of right hand tray. I forgot to take a pic because I was too busy devouring it. Simply delicious!!!. I was nicely surprised to be served by Yoshi, the owner who used to run the very successful Japanese Restaurant in Canmore called Chef Studio. It was outstanding! Not to be confused with the Chef Studio that is primarily a ramen restaurant now. Ask anyone in Canmore, they would love to have Yoshi open another one. Coffee is terrific, their drip coffee is a delicious freshly ground Bolivian coffee. Better than most drip coffees. That's what I like about Yoshi; it's all about quality.

The melt stood out to us due to the coconutty flavor but I would order both again! There were plenty of seats available and service was quick. The restaurant itself has a lot of vibrant local jewelry and teas for sale as well! I would rather here again!

Breakfast/Lunch Stop Worth the Detour…read more I'm a pretty picky eater. Not because I want to be, but because I have to be. I try to eat vegetarian in the morning, and I'm allergic to wheat, which makes dining out a little more complicated than it should be. My boyfriend found this little café outside Banff, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the better food surprises of the trip. We both ordered the Pad Thai -- one loaded with extra protein, one without. I had low expectations. I've eaten enough Thai food to know that about 7 or 8 out of 10 places overcook the noodles. They become soft, mushy, and fall apart the moment you touch them. Not here. The noodles were cooked perfectly -- still chewy with a nice bite. The peanut sauce was another pleasant surprise. It wasn't overly sweet or heavy like many North American versions. The balance was just right. The spice level was mild, which I appreciated because the dish actually tasted like Pad Thai instead of being buried under a mountain of chili. The vegetables were generous, fresh, and plentiful. My boyfriend's chicken portion wasn't huge, but there was plenty of tofu, which made sense since the dish is originally designed as a vegetarian option. The chef seemed to add the chicken as an extra rather than making it the star of the plate. The portion looked manageable when it arrived. It was not. I couldn't finish mine, and my boyfriend had to rescue the remaining noodles. Pad Thai: 4/5 The Vegan Berry Scone was light, not greasy, and not overly sweet. The strawberries and blueberries added little bursts of tartness, and there was a nice oat flavor throughout. My only complaint? It might have been too healthy. A tiny bit more sweetness could have taken it from "good" to "wow." Vegan Berry Scone: 3/5 The Vegan Chocolate Cake was exactly what a chocolate lover would want. Rich dark chocolate flavor without being sugary or overwhelming. It was a little dense and heavy, but in a comforting way that made me keep reaching for another bite. If the cake itself were slightly more moist, it would be nearly perfect. That said, making something both vegan and gluten-free that tastes this good deserves credit. Vegan Chocolate Cake: 4/5 What really impressed me was the overall value. Since the café is outside the main Banff tourist zone, prices are much more reasonable, parking is easy, and they offer a surprisingly large selection of gluten-free and vegan options. For someone like me, who usually spends half the meal interrogating the menu, that alone is worth celebrating. Final Rating: 4/5 Good food, fair prices, easy parking, and plenty of options for people with dietary restrictions. I'd absolutely come back. In fact, if I'm passing through again, I probably won't bother looking for another place.
