You state that you are located in Utah but your address shows Burien, WA. Where are you located?

This shop is located about 2 blocks from my house in Burien, WA in a little community known to locals as Seahurst. They have been at this location for about 6 years. Not sure why the Utah address. Being a musician and recording studio owner, the… Read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! O STARS!…read more I brought my samsung s24 ultra in with a cracked screen. I wanted to get the data transferred to another phone. I was told they could replace the screen for relatively cheap and I would be able to sell or trade it in, although the screen would not be quite as good as original. I was told it would take about a day or 2. I was suddenly called out of town on business for a few days. A week later they said a mid tier screen would work fine, but not quite as well as original. I was ok with that. Another week later I picked it up and paid $180. I got home and got the data transferred from it. I turned it off. It never worked again. Apparently they installed the cheapest screen which still should have worked. I should have known when he had to soft reset it while I was standing there. They wouldn't refund my payment and tried to get more money to repair it correctly. Here are some excerpts from our text conversation. LML repair, I tried replacing the screen flex cable in order to get the screen working. However it looks like the touch capability won't be returning on this screen. If you would like to have it replaced again we can do that at a discounted rate Well, no. That would be at your cost. I already paid you to repair it and you didn't. Sir it was repaired and working upon pickup. No, actually, it wasn't. You had to soft reset it even to turn it on while I was standing there. Soft resetting a newly replaced screen is completely normal. I made it clear to you the difference in screen quality and you still opted for the lowest quality screen. I made it clear that it could cause issues and problem. Now if you would like, the best I can do is install another screen at no labor charge, but you would have to cover the part cost. Actually, you talked me into buying a screen that you said was a level better than the lowest quality and that it wouldn't be great to sell, but would work well enough for a trade in. I don't feel I should have to pay anything extra to have you take care of what was originally requested without any online reviews. How much are you talking about for partial cost? I said that if you are looking to sell the device, the lowest quality screen would not be sellable. The mid tier screen is $120. Low quality screen is $60. Original screen is $220.We only use the low quality screen for trade in or data transfer purposes. This situation is why we don't recommend using the low quality screen, you still opted for it. I really don't mean to be difficult and I feel this is a fair resolution. That may be what you put in there, but I did request the mid tier screen. It's not that much money, but it's bad business.

The next day, I tried every troubleshooting suggestion I could find and it would just not power up. It had been fully operational 15 minutes previously. I called Nortech late in the day, around 4PM to schedule an appointment and to my surprise, I was told a technician could be there in 30 minutes. The visit would be $185. I had a bad feeling that I had lost a power supply board but I wanted to know for sure. The technician arrived as promised. He was on his way home to Federal way. He did the same checking as I had done and confirmed that it was the power supply. He told me this was a common failure and that the repair would be $795 but they would ahve to order parts. It would require the TV being dismounted from the wall mount. I decided to buy a new TV instead and he agreed with the logic of that decision. I bought another Samsung 55" OLED (still highly rated) for less than the cost of the repairs. The Nortech technician was courteous and professional.

So far the man has helped me fix an 81' 23 inch Zenith console TV (by repairing the 9-160 board), and also a 1980 Zenith "Integrated Stereo" system. Literally every other shop and tech in a 50 mile radius had turned me down (for the last 10 years or so) on these specific devices - BUT Victor took a chance, and said basically "Eh, 50/50, I try... I love the weird old stuff." Well, the dude knows his stuff (weird, old or indifferent), and he didn't just try, he went far and beyond what any normal person hoping for a quick buck would do - and honestly, even IF he hadn't fixed these 2 items, I'd still just be thankful the guy is around and still having a passion for fixing this stuff. He really knows the old school basics of capacitance, soldering, schematics, etc vs real life experience and diagnostic. In a nutshell, Unicorns ain't real, until you literally meet one. A++++. The guy is a terrific go to imho thus far.

This happened just hours after I posted the negative reviews on google and yelp. Account harassing me: IG username: marleneespacio Only following ONE PERSON... phone factory! Commenting heinous and disturbing messages under my IG photos! SCREEN GLITCH PROOF ATTACHED. Pay very close attention to the screen recordings. I slowed them wayyyy down so you can see how when I press a letter (which becomes dark upon pressing), and what pops up in the text box doesn't always match. What you press on my screen does not register and acts like you pressed somewhere else entirely, or duplicates your action. I also screen recorded the capcut editing app unable to function and scroll, rather spastically twitches and becomes unresponsive to my touch. These are just examples of what I'm experiencing with my phone screen as a whole. Original Review: Dishonest, scammer business. I had a terrible experience here. I came in with a cracked iPhone screen and was offered a $150 aftermarket screen replacement. After the replacement, the phone screen seemed to work fine initially, but later that afternoon my phone started glitching--bright fuzzy screen flashes, lagging, texting and scrolling issues and unresponsive apps. It became nearly unusable off and on. My entire life and career is in my phone, being that I'm a content creator and commercial realtor. It has made my work extremely difficult and frustrating. I purchased on a Saturday, Sunday they were closed, and I called them Monday to address the issue. Phone Factory acted angry and defensive with me (and even YELLED), like I have an ulterior motive and am causing them problems although I benefit NOTHING from returning a defective phone screen?? I still have to purchase a new screen..... it's not my fault the phone screen is defective... this is basic customer service. I was told there was a 30-day warranty on my purchased screen at time of purchase, but when I called, Sam lied to me and told me there was only a 2-day warranty and I couldn't bring it in although I was originally told 30 days. Then the manager later confirmed it was a 30 day warranty after all. I wanted to email screen recording proof of the glitching to the manager, but he refused and said I had to come in person. I explained to him it's a 2-hour drive round trip and I rather not drive all the way out there to show him screen recordings unless we also reach an agreement so I can also switch the screen if I'm to drive all the way there. I felt he was making it unnecessarily difficult. They offered to apply the $150 toward an original Apple screen, but refused any kind of exchange, return, or warranty on the new screen. I felt uncomfortable purchasing another phone screen from them without an exchange or return warranty after I already purchased a defective phone screen from them and have been treated cruelly over a PHONE SCREEN. I said, "I must have an exchange or return option on the new Apple screen, which shouldn't be a problem since it will be a quality screen, right?" He refused. Now, I have to eat the $150 I spent on this after-market screen and go pay full price for a new Apple screen because I won't buy another phone screen without a warranty from this business. I'm completely disappointed by the lack of transparency, poor product quality, and customer service. Save your money and go somewhere reputable. I now have to pay even more to fix what they messed up. There is good reason why they don't get much business. Don't risk it. If you have any issues they will treat you terribly.
