Now if your looking for a place like a Best Buy your sadly not gonna find it, but the guy working here knew his audio equipment and shared years of knowledge to place me into something I'd enjoy and use for another 10 years. I wasn't upsold so you need not fear this. You can sit in the listening room and jam out on a couch like you'd be doing at a college dorm. It's cluttered but felt homey so much you wanna go back just to hang with dude. I'm thinking of new speakers so I'll be back soon. It cost me about $50, and totally worth it as I love this turntable. I also took a very old, almost century old portable gramophone here for a small tune-up. He greased all the mechanical points to keep this gramophone running for the next century. Awesome work, great value and fast.

Had been…read morein the case for about 15 years and had some big cracks, needed fretwork, a neck reset, and a new saddle plus some work on the bridge. Richard did an incredible job resetting the neck and I can barely see where the cracks are. The work he did should last for the rest of my life. The guitar is perfectly in tune all the way up the neck and sounds and plays so much better than it did when I first got it. There was a long wait, about 3 months, for the repairs to be finished since he was a bit backed up with work, but the wait was definitely worth it. I ended up spending a bit more money than I thought I would, but these repairs will last for the next 50+ years. Will be taking all my guitar needs to RJW!

In my case - vintage electronics repair. My old Star Wars clock...was an item that i'd not tested/played in 45+ years. The clock mechanism was ok...but the voice recording was kaput. Andrei gave me a very reasonable quote on the spot and stuck to it when I picked it up. Gave me goose bumps to hear the sound after so many years. It had been about 5 years since I last played my clarinet and I decided I wanted to start up again…read more My instrument needed an overhaul repair, BADLY. After doing some research online, I found Granlund Woodwind Repair. The owner, Scott Granlund, had a lot of recommendations from professional musicians in Seattle, so I decided his business seemed reputable enough for me to give him a shot. The shop is a bit confusing to find. It's a single room workshop located behind Clever Bottle in Belltown, and I mean literally. You actually have to enter the bar and walk through a door in the back to get to the place. The shop itself, though cluttered wall to wall with instruments, parts, and tools, is charming. Scott immediately plopped my instrument on a table and appraised the work needing to be done. He wrote up an estimate, told me it would take about a month and a half to completed everything, and I was in and out in about 10 minutes. Now I ran into problems when it came to the estimated time of completion. Though Scott had told me 6 weeks, 6 weeks turned into 8, which turned into 10. I was getting a bit frantic, but after several sessions of phone tag and some tense emails, we arranged a time for pick up. Overall, I was pretty happy with the repairs. His quality and craftsmanship were very good and I could definitely feel the difference when I started to play. It's a shame it took so long to have everything done, however. I would have given him 5 stars if it wasn't for that fact.
