Everyday they came home excited about the day's activities. Below are their thank you's to the staff last week. We look forward to another camp next summer. - Brett I found the School of Rock Camp to be extremely worthwhile. Most of the instructors there were very helpful and understanding. Our instructors regularly checked in on us when we were working on our songs. At the beginning of the week I honestly did not think that I could progress as far as I did at the end of the week with my three songs. I thought that the School of Rock's environment was very good as well. All in all, I had a wonderful time at the School of Rock's camp. ~Son (14 years old) Bassist The school of Rock camp was really great. I made at least one new friend and learned some new games. Plus I learned a new song and got better at ghost notes. Overall I think I would want to go back next summer and do it again. - Daughter (11 years old) Drummer

We've been so happy with the work you and your team have put into my son. His love of music is…read morepalpable ever since he started with ya'll. Even more impressive to me is his new budding understanding of music theory and his ability to apply what he learns at School of Rock to multiple instruments. Just the other week he wrote his first song on our keyboard that mainly collects dust.....and it really sounded great! I can only credit that to the skill set he's developing with School of Rock! I, on the other hand, have been blown out of the water with my bass teacher, Evan. He is hands down the best music teacher I've ever had. I was a bit nervous to begin taking lessons again as an adult....mainly because I know I had developed some "bad habits" in playing, lost a lot of the knowledge of music theory I had prior to taking a 10ish year hiatus from playing but I also don't have a ton of interest in relearning how to sight read (or even read sheet music at all since tabs are so readily available now compared to when I was a young whipper snapper ). Evan makes learning fun, he's clearly passionate about what he does and it comes across in every interaction I have with him as well as anytime I see him interacting with another student. I appreciate so much that he does not force me to learn to read music or memorize scales, but rather takes a very pragmatic approach with me going over shapes, teaching me compositions that aren't just fun to play but improve my skill set and ability to apply what we go over to multiple aspects of playing bass (and any instrument really). Last night for example, my son finished his lesson a little ahead of me and Evan warmly welcomed him into our lesson, included him in conversation and generally treated him with kindness and respect rather than an irritating little kid which was the impression I got from many of my early music teachers. I can not say enough good things about the team at School of Rock in lynnwood. Whether you're looking for your child, or looking for yourself it is an amazing experience and worth every Penny.

I bought my instrument 4 years ago and Joe is still attentive if I send an email with questions or help with service. It seems like he genuinely cares that I continue enjoying the instrument. Tucked back behind the Wendy's in Lynnwood is this secret little treasure trove with a neat history. Now that I know what treats exist here I am eager to get better at the accordion so I can invest in a stunning Petosa creation - "the Ferrari of accordions" as the owner explained. Oh how my eyes lit up at the sight of the first Petosa instrument. All I came in for was to have my keyboard cleaned and I received excellent customer service. The people who own and run this shop are warm, friendly, and take the time to go over options with you. They don't push anything on you and are genuinely interested in helping people to enjoy their accordions. That being said it is a hefty price tag to service an old accordion. In most cases it is more cost effective to invest in a new or refurbished unit - I completely understand this, I just couldn't bear the thought of my accordion going into a landfill. It's such a beautiful piece of artwork so hopefully after the cleaning it will be good to go for a little while. Being that it's the only shop in the PNW they can really charge whatever they want and I have no basis for comparison. Alas, I'm happy to support this local business so I'll update once I pickup my instrument after it is serviced! I'm just glad there's a knowledgeable shop in the Seattle area with easy parking out front!

quite a drive for me living just south of Olympia, but well worth it, next time will give myself…read moremore time to enjoy the area & this amazing music shop. found Crossroads had the Martin in stock I was looking for thru the Martin website, had tried a big box music store near Seattle but pretty much ignored so walking into Crossroads & immediately greeted & attended to by Sara, one of the owners of the "mom & pop" musical instrument shop was very pleasant. The Martin Jr in stock was hanging with the other guitars was ready to play & she set me up to try it out. They had a good selection Martin accessories including a good assortment of guitar strings including the Martin brand so I also bought a spare set of the Martin LifeSpan Phosphor Bronze Light strings. I was short on time so did not get a chance to fully take in the ambience & experience of Dan & Sara's music store, but reading up on Crossroads before hand on their website & stepping into their store, I felt the warm embrace of some good vibes, and appreciate their community involvement in local music events in this very charming waterfront town. I like contributing to local businesses so I not only walked away with a very nice Martin acoustic electric guitar, it felt rewarding to give back. I hope to explore more of the Washington peninsula & look forward taking more time visiting Port Townsend & Crossroads Music.

This is great if you have like, 5 kids that all want to do something different. I myself am focusing on piano, but it's nice to know that if I ever wanted to try learning a different instrument, there's probably an instructor for it just down the hall. The studio is in an easily accessible part of Bothell which I really like. No need to travel all the way to Seattle to get some great music instruction! There's a bus stop right in front, and if you drive there's a dedicated parking lot with tons of parking. No matter what your age or skill level is, I highly recommend checking out Bothell Music Lessons. My only regret is not doing it sooner!
