The Kennelly Keys Music on 196th Street Southwest in Lynnwood was our second go-to Kennelly Keys…read morewhen I was growing up. We were required in elementary school to take part in the school band or orchestra for 5th grade with 6th grade optional (I took part both full academic years: 2002 to 2004), so with an older sibling and me, my parents were looking for reliable music stores. There was a Kennelly Keys close to the house, as well as this Kennelly Keys, that we habitually frequented. This was our destination for questions needing further answering and products not available closer to the house. Workers were friendly and the store well organized. When choosing my musical instrument for band, I decided I wanted to play the alto saxophone. My parents were okay with my choice so long as it was not as pricey as my sister's cello. On one of our visits to this location, the store was having a big sale on used instruments and they had a working alto saxophone available for a good deal. So, I got my first alto saxophone that day. I used it for both years and held on to it for a while before eventually parting with it. It worked well and served its purpose reliably.

The Martin Jr in stock was hanging with the other guitars was ready to play & she set me up to try it out. They had a good selection Martin accessories including a good assortment of guitar strings including the Martin brand so I also bought a spare set of the Martin LifeSpan Phosphor Bronze Light strings. I was short on time so did not get a chance to fully take in the ambience & experience of Dan & Sara's music store, but reading up on Crossroads before hand on their website & stepping into their store, I felt the warm embrace of some good vibes, and appreciate their community involvement in local music events in this very charming waterfront town. I like contributing to local businesses so I not only walked away with a very nice Martin acoustic electric guitar, it felt rewarding to give back. I hope to explore more of the Washington peninsula & look forward taking more time visiting Port Townsend & Crossroads Music.

We have zero knowledge about it, so thought we stopped by and asked questions. The first staff (tall guy), I wish I catched his name, was very friendly & welcoming. He explained some stuff that I need to know. When the time he needed to leave the store, he came to us, and mentioned he will leave but he communicated with other staff to help me. He didn't have to tell me that he was leaving, but he did! Awesome service there! While the other employee was still in the middle of transaction, the store manager, Scott, came out from the office & approached us. He is AMAZING! He explanained even more details, without making us feel bad or dumb. He was not only telling us the guitar differences, but he also demonstrated what guitars & amps can do with different type of music he played. We received lots of information in a short period of time. Seriously, I wish the company sees these 2 guys and gives special recognation in what they do for giving extra miles for their customers.

I've been going to Pawn Fathers since back when they had the Lynnwood and South Everett location…read more(no longer around). I've used them for a large majority of my FFL transfers and firearm loans/trades. Since the early 2000's it's changed ownership (I think) and obviously management, which comes and goes like any business. The folks running the Everett location have been there for years now and have always been friendly and kind. It may be because I give them the same in return, who knows. This is a Pawn Shop. This isn't "Pawn Stars" where your 5k guitar is worth 4k and then they try and match that. They are a business that constantly has wanna be con artists and hustlers try to pass off crap as gold all day. I feel most people should keep that in mind if they receive a rude tone or a hard bargain price. Pawn Fathers has always made me feel like family even when they've hit me with a lower than expected number. Never felt like they were trying to rob me or steal from me, they're doing their job. They're a pawn shop you guys (which I can't emphasize enough) and for a pawn shop they're the best in the area! Hands down. Tons of things to choose from: tools, dvd's, video games, consoles, jewelry, musical instruments and equipment and my personal favorite a great selection of firearms and firearm accessories. Don't take my word for it, check them out!

I mentioned this to the guy behind the counter and he condescendingly told me that it is working while pulling the slide back, I looked over and saw he was manually actuating the slide stop. When I mentioned that to him, he got an attitude and attempted to gaslight me. What he didn't know is that I had a good idea as to what was wrong, so I bought the gun anyway. He had a nasty attitude the whole time until I gave him the money, then suddenly he learned how to be friendly. They also don't call you when your gun is ready to pick up, they just tell you the date, unlike every other pawn shop. He also got nasty when I tried to make a deal on the gun; it's a pawn shop, they make offers, why shouldn't the buyers make offers? Avoid this place at all costs, even if you know your guns, whatever they have isn't worth putting up with the b*tchy attitude. By the way, I fixed the gun. The mag spring was worn out.
