Grilled chicken sandwich with fries, boiled crawfish, shrimp, snow crab, corn and potatoes.
    Antonio E.

The owners of the restaurant are very welcoming and nice. The restaurant is fairly new and is very clean and modern. The food was really good . We ordered the grilled chicken sandwich , boiled crawfish, crab legs, potatoes, corn , and shrimp. Everything was good, only thing my wife mentioned was the boiled shrimp could have had more seasoning. The menu is a great with a variety of options to pick from. Pricing on menu is really fair and reasonable. Will recommend and definitely be back . Big hidden gem in belle chasse.

Service was good. I had the fried shrimp and fish platter. The shrimp were okay, but the fried fish was not very good at all.

It was just okay food wise. The service was good. Cost was average. We always look for restaurant off the beaten path when we travel.

Google said they were open, but when we got there, we found out they were closed and on vacation the week before the 4th of July. I'm not really mad about that but there was nothing on their social media about being closed or away that week. I called a couple of times on our drive over and no one answered but the locals we worked with said this place is hopping during dinner time, we just assumed it was really busy and they couldn't get to the phones. A little better communication would have been appreciated, especially in a city where tourism is such an important industry for them. I'm sure the locals who eat there all the time knew they would be closed that week, but us out of towners did not know. So I'll go right in the middle, three stars as I can't really judge them on their food. However I work in a customer facing field too, and communication with your customer base is key. That really bummed me out. Maybe next time.

We stumbled upon J&J on Yelp while visiting from out of town for a volleyball tournament. The reviews were great, and the fact that it's a standalone, independent restaurant -- not a chain -- made it even more appealing. We were so eager that we pulled up before they even opened and waited in the parking lot. No shame. Here's where we went wrong: we hadn't done our homework. J&J is takeout only -- no dine-in. Since we were heading out of town that same day with no hotel room to return to, sitting down to eat simply wasn't an option for us. We had to make the tough call to find somewhere else. But here's what made all the difference -- the gentlemen who opened that morning were absolutely wonderful. Despite our situation, they welcomed us in without hesitation, made sure we had a place to sit while we figured out our next move, and never once made us feel rushed or like an inconvenience. When we explained we'd have to leave, they were completely gracious and understanding about it. Warm, genuine, and patient -- like a family member who's just happy you stopped by, even without calling first. I left without eating a single thing, and I'm still thinking about this place. J&J Seafood, you have a customer for my next Louisiana visit -- and that's a promise.

No line, and I could smell the boil from the Main Street! Now, it's still early in the season so it was $8.99/lb but still worth it. Crawfish was juicy, flavorful, with tolerable spice! Listen, this is NOT a dine-in type of place, so get yours and find you somewhere else to congregate lol I love that it's a smaller, family owned business because the customer service is a 10, ALWAYS.

I visited New Orleans…read moreback in early May and I'm literally still thinking about all the yummy food I had at Peche. It was also really cool to be seated at the oyster bar and get to watch all the appetizers being made. The snapper kinilaw with coconut was like a crudo, carpaccio, or ceviche and it was amazinggggg. The mix of the coconut milk, the chili oil, the fish, and the greens was such a good combo - it was so flavorful yet bright and light. I could have had so many plates of this. The crawfish croquettes were also fantastic! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and you could really taste the crawfish and the spices. Again, so much flavor! The baked drum with leek was probably my least favorite dish of the night, just because I like my fish more soft and smooth, but it was still good! Finally, I was swayed to get the carrot sticky toffee pudding after seeing so many of them being made at the bar. It was like a deconstructed carrot cake, with cream cheese flavor ice cream and a warm, sticky molten carrot cake and graham cracker crumbles. Absolutely divine. I would go back to New Orleans just for Peche!

The timing of the appetizers, main dishes and desserts were on point. I throughly enjoyed the overall dining experience here. Tuna crudo - was alright, had a fishiness and was tangy Oysters - fresh and melted in my mouth. The crackers add a nice crunch and also paired well with the tuna crudo. Cobia - the char on the fish had a burnt taste to it. Other than that, the fish had a crispy and had a nice chew to it. There was a hint of freshness from the zucchini and the salad+orzo. Brussel sprouts - This was good. The vinegar was not overpowering and it was cooked just right where the Brussel sprouts had a sweet taste and still had a slight bite to it. Carrot toffee pudding - great! It is a sweet dessert. The hot and cold factor gave a nice mix. key lime pie - it was sweet and light, but could have a stronger zest Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Food 7/10
