This is probably my hundredth time coming here. Everyone knows my name when I come here and pretty much everyone fucks with me except a couple randoms. Not a lot of people know this but Alphaville is one of the best places in the tri-state area to get an ice cold Guinness. My bartender Brandon taught me how to blow smoke rings or "O's" on his cigarette break. This just goes to show how personable and friendly the bar staff are. Come by here if you're ever running away from your crazy ex girlfriend who thinks you cheated but you didn't even though you could have

I love going to concerts! My spending categories are definitely art, booze, food and shows! And Alphaville covers most of those needs. I've popped in here many times for a beer or a small snack of fried goodies but I have not been for a show. I was excited to see local modern goth rockers "Bootblacks" and romantic, goth band "Weeknight" were playing together. "Weeknight" had been on hiatus and therefore the turn out was pretty huge. The entire bar was jam packed. The place is CASH ONLY. And it was super hard to get to the water cooler. I also couldn't believe the amount of people talking during the show. If you wanna talk, don't go to shows. I'm here to watch the band and shake my tail feather. "Bootblacks" had been on my concert eye for awhile. If you ever watch the movie "Blade Runner" this band sounds and looks like if the replicants started a band. It's got electronic keyboard dance moves and the vocals are spot on. And in top of that there is a trumpet coming in at perfect timing. I could dance the night away listening to these guys. https://bootblacks.bandcamp.com/ "Weeknight" got super crowded and it was very hard to get a good spot. They sounded amazing and I liked that the stage was easy to see in the back venue. https://weeknightmusic.bandcamp.com/ I can't forget to mention Kyle Avallone the opener. The solo act with his keyboard was reminiscent of a Nick Cave beatnik. Very cool vibe. https://soundcloud.com/healing-light/kyle-avallone-nobodys-baby-now Alphaville is a intimate space for shows and worth checking out but make sure to bring the cash!!

Rodeo Chicken Sandwich. Fried chicken w/ cheddar cheese, bacon, onion rings, BBQ sauce, and ranch dressing. Comes w/ fries. Yes please.

Ordered the "Rodeo Chicken Sandwich" (aka Fried Chicken Sandwich) for delivery. As a person with not a massive appetite, and whom hates the MASSIVE, almost inedible 'Man V. Food' styled portions we get today, this was great. The sandwich is the perfect size for one person, and packs a lot of punch (It's about the same size as the Cast Iron Cheeseburger from Forrest Point). The fries are fantastic and actually hilariously big / thick (making the sandwich look smaller in comparison). Overall, it was a good portion for both the cost, and what I'm use to consuming. Would definitely order again.

Pancakes with a strawberry compote bursting with flavor, texture, and a bit of herb. The space is beautiful. Open, spacious, bright. They spill all over the place every time and because of that, I always burn my hand. They don't have sleeves either because I think the cups are too small. The customer service could be better as it always seems like to-go orders are an inconvenience over dining in customers. Either way, the location is convenient if you need a coffee shop in Greenpoint if the neighboring shops are full. They do have a full menu for brunch, lunch, and dinner service. The prices match the location and the food looks good as there are always locals dining outside with their families and dogs. The space is spacious as well. I cannot comment on the food, only my takeout order experience. Accepts cash, card and Applepay. Indoor, outdoor and takeout available. Bathroom available.

Granted, I mostly came for some pre-gaming activities before going into midtown Manhattan, so I don't have any personal experience with the food here, but from as far as I can share, I had an amazing time when it came to the drinks and vibes. The service itself is impeccable - everyone is so friendly, accommodating, and hospitable. I also love the selection of brews here, and....yeah! You know, I just had a really great time!! Good drinks, and amazing vibes! I highly recommend! And yes, I would love to return in the future and try out the food. Either way, my advice for now is a resounding YES for visiting!

Whoever owns it this time, has figured out the perfect storm to not only stay open, but be constantly packed. Lines stretch out the door and down the block , waits can be over an hour for a table. I got lucky one night when there was no line & my girlfriend and I got a seat. To start off, the ambiance is rock solid, they got the classic old school American/ New York look. Beautiful lights, a sky line art work, comfy leather seats, and you can scribble on the table I love it. Staff & service are also amazing, there very attentive, respectful, friendly and the service is great, they do a great job in both of these aspects. However, their food is lacking. It's a very small menu, we ordered their burger, clams, wedge salad and Sunday. All of the items were fine, I personally didn't like the clams, I felt they were too dry, the burger was good but nothing you can't get anywhere else. The salad and Sunday weren't worth it. However, what was very disappointing, I believe they cook using cheap oils, because after our meal, my girlfriend & I just felt really bad in our stomach. I really wish this place well and hope they last, but the hype is way too high and I think they need to switch the oil and quality of their ingredients.

Would definitely come again to try other menu items! I'm a fan!

It was warm and flaky with the perfect amount of pistachio filling. I def savored each bite and contemplated getting another one but ultimately decided not to. My salad came out shortly after and was better than I expected. The croutons were ginormous but also seasoned and worth each bite. The salad was tangy and had plenty of shredded Parmesan, which I loved! I got a chance to talk with Sabino a bit before he left. Because he had difficulty on the register, he gave me some later cookies which I thought was an incredibly nice gesture. I more than enjoyed my visit and already can't wait to come back! Borscht soup (with mushroom dumplings) was nice and hot, great to settle my stomach that was feeling a bit off earlier in the day. Polish appetizer sampler is lovely to try a bit of everything. I really enjoyed the cabbage wrap. Duck pierogies was a first for me. Good portion sized, savory and not light on the meat. Pork schnitzel was nicely breaded, crispy and thin. The roasted potatoes on the side was so well-seasoned, no additional add-ons necessary. Cheesecake was decent, and the server delighted us with three little candles on top to celebrate. But if what you want is coffee (latte, cappuccino or an espresso martini) then go ahead and try it out, it's pretty good. Food: the food was blah. Nice presentation but that's about it. We had the ricotta pancakes, most of us agreed that they were too dense and not fluffy enough, it becomes overwhelming after the first 2 bites. One thing that I appreciated was that the fruits were fresh and sweet. The Moroccan scramble was ehhh. It is stacked on top of the bread and to get to the bottom of the plate it's a hassle and it's messy. The taste is not spectacular but it's edible. The burger was ok, nothing special. The chicken sandwich was good, not great. Ohhh but wait...their mussels were delicious. We enjoyed the coconut curry sauce and the fresh cilantro. Service: the best way that I can describe the service in one word is...neglectful. The waitress was not rude, but we already had our plates in the table when I had to ask for water for the table. The glasses were sitting on the table empty for 30-45 min. We asked for a hot chocolate (along with the rest of the order) it took like 30 min to come out, after we all had our coffee. Ambiance: is serene, cool, comfortable. The decor is very nice. Unfortunately I will not be going back and I do not recommend the restaurant because of the service and the food.
