Alpha Nails has gotten a whole remodel. Brand new chairs that are nice and have massage control in the arm of the chair. Everything is nice, clean and well laid out. This used to be my go to place for pedicures, but had the worst pedicure with the older man. From the time I sat in the chair until he was finished painting my nails was 22 minutes. My heels are still very rough, barely any massage and he cut my toenails crooked. He also wasn't paying attention when using the file and got above my big toe so now it is very red and raw. Definitely not the same. Rushed service and quality issues. The man doing my pedicure caused several raw, red places around my toes because he was too busy looking out the window. I used to chew my nails really bad so I figured if I paid I would stop. I grew them out and had my first manicure from another shop in town and it was terrible. I was quite discouraged but decided to try again. I came to Alpha nails and they were so nice. They took their time even though it was going past closing time. The attention to detail was great. Wanted a nail salon that wasn't too far from my home and the northside. After having a referral to Alpha Nails - I scheduled with Lam. I could not be Happier with the dip that he did. I also took my daughter, who is down from Alaska, and she was so pleased with the massage and hot stones and polish that Trinh did for her pedicure. I've liked this nail place since they opened. It's close to my house in the east side of Springfield. However, lately my nails have not lasted as long as usual. I feel like their UV light machines are malfunctioning or something as it doesn't always feel set. I've also found bubbles in the end product. One of the nail techs acts grouchy and lightly smacks your hands if you're not in the correct position or relaxed enough. I'm going to give it one more chance though. read more

Yes, we had 5 in our group and that sometimes is a lot.. still didn't excuse the fact that they had an attitude, ignored us when we were talking to them, and 3 of the 5 sets have chips, crooked, or have popped off within a week of having them done. read more

Great nail salon. I stopped by on a whim (on a Friday afternoon) and they were able to do my manicure. Great service for the price. I'm impressed. Good value and they were so nice. I plan to return. It's a bit "off the beaten path" but worth the effort to find them and go in. Definitely, I recommend Alpha Nails on East Sunshine - close to Nicola's restaurant (same shopping strip mall complex) and across from Sam's Club. Today went into to Sunshine and was impressed at it is actually clean for an Asian Nail Salon. Was told to pick color for nails and when I did one of the colors fell off the counter and shattered. The lady brought me rubber cloves and handed them to me and told me not to cut myself while I cleaned the mess up? Wow me clean your shop? Well I felt guilty and did it. Had the worst pedicure I had ever experienced once they decided to finally wait on me I think it took about 8 minutes and was so 1/2 a** done...HORRIBLE! Then she did my pink/white nails and i had to ask her to buff them? WTH? So I get ready to pay and she gives me the bill and she is charging me $9 for the bottle of 1/2 used polish I broke and $6 for the finger nail polish I used I said I b/c she made me clean it up....$6 for polish remover..are you kidding me. So my total was 58.00 gave her 60 cash and she stood there and said well its $58? I said yes please bring me my change and she said well you need to tip me!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! This was the worst service I have EVER recieved having my nails done! Will NEVER GO BACK!!!!!! All of this for a 1/2 used bottle of nail polish they sale at Sallys for 4.50!!!! read more
