well...this was my first time at a solon and i am just amazed how wonderful it went, it was amazing, my nails look amazing, i love how neat they look, it was an amazing feeling, i love how every 5 minutes Manager came up to me and asked how it was going and if i liked everything, all people have there attitudes but i guarantee you that u will come in and love that place and u will get really comfortable there! I want to start this review by saying that even though this nail salon doesn't do nails the way I prefer to have them done, I didn't want to harm the owners business because she's doing things her way and in this world, sometimes you need to try to do things in a new way. But I hope this review helps you as the customer understand how the salon is different than others than you are used to going to and I hope it helps the owner find a way to streamline her business so that she is able to keep the doors open. Also, I finally decided to write this review a week later because I've lost three nails already and I'm disappointed with the money I spent on them. When I arrived at the salon for a refill, the first thing she did was look at my existing nails and talk about how thick the acrylic was. She suggested I think about taking the acrylic off and using a nail strengthener, because she could see on the two nails that I needed replaced (because they had broken off), that my actual nails are very thin. I explained this is how my nails have been my whole life and I just prefer to use acrylics. If someone is willing to pay you every two weeks to do a refill, why sell them on a nail fortifier? She went on to explain she doesn't use a drill because it's damaging to your original nail. So everything was done with a nail file. My who appointment took 2 hours and 15 minutes. I paid her $40 ($34 plus a $6 tip). That means after paying the extra employee she had in the shop helping her do my nails, paying for supplies, lights, rent, etc. she most likely is making minimum wage. If she's lucky. I say this because sometimes business owners aren't seeing the bigger picture and I hope she reads this so she can find a way to make her business more profitable because she's really sweet. I liked her a lot on a personal level. But other salons will outlive her if she can't get enough repeat customers. Which brings me to my next observation. She took the time to custom fit the two tips that needed to be replaced. She showed me on one of my other nails how poorly the tips that had been put on were fitted (the nail underneath was extended past the acrylic). I didn't have the heart to tell her that that was not a tip it was my actual nail. She explained if you didn't custom fit them they would pop off. Sadly, those two nails that's she custom fit were the first two to come off, then another one on the same hand because she filed them down so thin. I had told her I preferred them thicker because I am remodeling a house and I need them thicker, but she filed away at them anyway. I also asked,on at least three separate occasions, for my nails to be filed square but she still she filed them into a "natural shape". Needless to say since I left the appointment I got a nail file and filed my nails the way I wanted them (or as close to square as I could get them.) Also, they don't use acrylic they use dip powder, which is amazing stuff in the way it works, but the function of it is lacking. In case you don't know what dip powder is they paint on a clear polish like gel and then dip your finger into the powder and it turns into something similar to acrylic. Like I said in the beginning if you like your nails natural and you just want to manicure this is your place to go. The employees are sweet and personable and were a pleasure to talk to you. But if you want to traditional acrylic nails we will not get them here. And for the owner, I hope that she finds a way to do nails more quickly so that she can keep her doors open,because she's not going to be profitable if she takes 2 1/2 hours per customer for a refill. read more

The salon is nice and so is the staff. I went here the first time with my daughter and got a mani, pedi which was nice and very satisfied. I went back a few months later to get a more natural cnd nails which were supposed to be more healthy than acrylic. My daughter had her nails done as well. It took 3 hours to get our nails done and they kept stressing it was because they did not used drills. I know better than this and had other manicures done without drills, but did not say anything. They told me the nails work better on some people, but not on others...should have been my first clue. My. nails started popping off after 3 days. My daughter only lost one. The salon offered to fix my nails for free, but after the first visit of taking 3 hours...I did not want to take the time. My daughter had an appointment to get her nail fixed. There was a mixup during the booking or somewhere in communication. The lady making the appointment did not speak good English and when my daughter showed up for her appointment the salon was closed. She waited for 20 minutes and tried calling and received no answer. After she called the salon, my daughter called me and I called and left a message on the salon voice mail. The salon called me later, but by then my daughter found someone else to do her nails. I am giving 3 stars because the salon is immaculately clean and the staff are friendly. Just be prepared to spend some time here if you get your nails done. read more

I reached out to Khulan, who had done my eyebrows previously about help with my nails. The salon is so beautiful and clean. Everyone I have encountered there is friendly and exhibits excellent customer service skills. I had gone to the same salon for a few years, but they had started using a dremel to remove my shellac/gel polish. It slowly, but surely DESTROYED my nails causing them to be very thin and they broke well below the top of the nail bed. People, if someone is using a dremel on you, IT WILL ultimately destroy your nails. I came to Cashmere very frustrated and disappointed. Khulan was reassuring and helpful. I purchased a nail restoring product (just $2.50) at Khulan's suggestion, and followed her directions for working to heal my nails. My nails are now strong enough to return to properly done shellac/gel manicures. Khulan has been so careful to use base coat products that continue to be nourishing and healing. She removes polish with a wooden orange stick, not a dremel, which has improved my nails. They look wonderful and have not peeled or chipped in between service. I am grateful! read more

I absolutely love this place! It has a very modern, chic feel and the ladies who work there are so friendly and lovely. The price is very reasonable and everything is clean and well cared for. Jen did my nails and often when I get my nails done at other salons they end up cutting my cuticles too close and making me bleed, not here!!! It was a painless, relaxing, fun experience. I went in for simple nail polish on my nails,the owner cut my skin on 4 fingers and brused the skin around 8 of my fingers,i told her to stop an said ouch many times she told me that I couldn't handle pain because I almost passed out so she told me the story of her knowing pain giving birth to her child an needed a epidural ...I didn't know when I walked in that I was going to be physically harmed, she knew she was causing me pain..when she seen I couldn't take any more she said you have thin skin ,then she stopped ..any professional could see that before butchering my fingers ..it's against the law in many states for salons to cut the cuticle due to risk of infection and transmitted diseases from non sterile or sanitized instruments...now two days later my fingers are brused and still sore from her torture... read more

This place is fantastic! I waited a week to write my review to see how my gel manicure would hold up. My nails still look flawless and I'm very hard on my nails. I was in Springfield for a business trip and decided to get my nails done. It was about an hour before they closed and they were able to squeeze me in the schedule. The nail tech took her time and was exceptionally friendly while she worked. I couldn't have been more happy and will definitely be returning when I'm in town next. This spa is awesome. I got a pedicure on Saturday and couldn't wait to get back! So far I have had nails, brows, and spray tans. I get so excited to get back.
