They had us pick colors, and when I said we didn't want gel, they insisted it was fine because they "match" gel colors to regular. Then they pulled out actual gel bottles. I repeated that I didn't want gel polish, and they told me, "It's ok, it's not gel without the lamp." I even asked if it would come off with normal remover and they said yes. Well, guess what--it won't come off! Now I'm stuck having to go somewhere else to pay to get this taken off, and my nails will likely be damaged in the process from buffing which is why I haven't used gel in years! How does a nail salon not even have regular nail polish? They flat-out lied to me, and I will never be back.

They were dull, appeared to have scratches all over them on day one, and lifted quicker than acrylic. I went in after a few days to have the dullness fixed and they buffed them, then put a top coat of gel polish. This only made them shiny for about a day, then they looked awful again. Getting your nails done is such a nice self care splurge, but such a bummer to pay for nails that turn out bad. I tried a new salon with my mother in law and I realized just how rushed they are at US nails, they're rough on your nails, I would bleed sometimes and just tell myself "beauty is pain." I checked out their webpage for a price list and there was none. I didn't want to waste my time or theirs in setting an appointment before I knew the (ballpark) price - I've been burned too many times with $60 cuts when I expected it to be $20 based on the type of salon. Anyway, I politely asked for a ballpark price range and they still haven't gotten back to me...it's been 5 weeks. Against my better judgment, I called the salon TWICE during midday and there was no answer either time. Needless to say I went elsewhere.
