My friend brought me here for gel pedicures. The girl was really sweet & we had a nice conversation. But I feel like she rushed through my pedicure when we were just about the only ones in there. My friend & I were talking about how the younger guy really perfected & filed all of her nails once he was already done, just to make sure they were perfect. I used the restroom & it was cute but not clean. No hand soap or paper towels either. My toes still look really cute, but my place back home is less expensive for better quality. read more

The absolute worst experience and nail service I have ever had. I asked for dip, she put tips randomly on each finger - not as tips - some all the way down my nail. The dip was so thick I had to file most of it off just to make it look normal. I would never go there again. read more

Nice clean place. The place wasn't overwhelmed with the chemical smell like other nail places. I called and made an appointment, and they told me to come by certain time. I got to the place 10 mins before my appointment, wait for another 15 mins for my turn. The staffs were nice(trying to overwhelm you with jokes and conversation), provided me with free bottle of water. I got basic mani and pedi. The work wasn't perfect but they did a good job. First time customer 10% off and if you refer friend you get 5% off next time. They mention to me that I can get red and white wine while I have my nails done, may be I will try next time. read more

One of the better nail salons in the area, and average pricing on gel manicures. It was pretty awkward when one lady's husband came and joined me while she did my nails, and then she massages my arms so fervently that it felt and looked like The was jerking my arm off, so that was awkward. She also kinda scolded me for my cuticles, which I have a habit of biting. I don't really like dropping $30 to be chastised by a 45 year old nail tech. read more

Sketchy as hell, I get my nails done ALL the time. $1.50 charge for using a debit card, who does that? They don't do Gel full, they don't use Gel. Don't know how they are in business. If you accidentally walk-in the back they won't open the door for you have to walk all the way around. My 14 year old brother could paint my nails better. Do not recommend. They worked me in when they were busy, just shortly before they closed. I was extremely impressed with their staff and the way they handled my fill and paint. My only complaint is half of my thumb nail gel paint peeled off 5 days after I had them done. I live over an hour away from this salon so hopping in the car for a repair isn't an option. First tried the salon with my daughter and granddaughter. We all wanted pedicures. I made an appoint, which I was urged to do. When we arrived for the appointment, there were several people in the salon so we had to wait. Almost an hour later, one of us finally got a place to start a pedicure. We were in the salon a total of 2 hours for two pedicures and one child's mani/pedi. I thought I'd give them another chance to do my gel nails. I saw that the price board said $20 for Gel. Good price! What could be better than that! So once again, I made an appointment. When I arrived, again, I was asked to wait. Almost an hour later, it was my turn. It took the girl almost another half hour to remove my previous gel from my nails. The solution was very hot and my fingers felt numb?? She roughly scraped the polish off my nails, which took a very long time. Then she proceeded to work on my cuticles, etc. As she was clipping them, she cut me. I pulled my hand back, as I felt the pain. She continued to cut and nipped me again! She was very apologetic and put something on my finger to stop the bleeding. Ok, I can deal with that. On it went. As she was applying the gel polish, and my hands were under the light off and on, I noticed one of my thumb nails had a ripple. I showed her and she said, "Oh, I think you bumped it." Ok, I knew I hadn't bumped my nail so I let it go. Pretty soon, as she was putting on the second coat, she realized the nail actually WAS rippling and asked another girl in the salon to look at it. That gal took the polish off the nail, and redid it. So over two hours later (usually takes one hour at the most at my usual salon), I went up to pay and she said, "that will be $25." I said, "your sign says $20 for gel nails." She said, "Oh, I had to add on for the manicure." Excuse me but your sign doesn't say that. It says $20 for gel nails. So, I went ahead and paid, even tho it had taken over two hours to do my nails, she had cut me, done a botch job on the nails, and charged me more than their price list shows. What ever happened to "the customer is always right?" Or at least compensation of some sort? I wasn't going to complain and make a scene as I knew she was very sorry for cutting me. But I can't let this go. This salon is poorly managed, very dirty, there are shoes and junk hanging out from below the front counter, that were there three weeks before when I was there, I'm not confident the tools are clean. The people who work here are friendly and I can tell they make friends with their clients. I will NEVER return to this salon and I would strongly caution anyone else who would take the chance to go elsewhere! There are far better, more professional, and customer-oriented salons in the area. I guess, as the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for!" p.s. My nail polishing is lifting already after only a week. :( read more

I recently moved to Springfield and had been looking around for a nail salon for a mani/pedi before my wedding. I am SO GLAD I found Golden Nails!!! They are professional, friendly, and kept my husband and I laughing the whole time we were there. And the salon is so clean! The regular polish on my toes still looks perfect almost two weeks later - even after a few days on the beach. Will definitely be going back. read more
