It has been a year since Stefan remodeled our kitchen and built a closet in our foyer. Both projects were done at the same time, and he did a great job on both projects. Both projects have been without any issue. The kitchen project consisted of a complete remodel, replacing the hardwood floor and subfloor, installing all new cabinets, building and installing an island with range hood, running water and gas lines as needed, installing backsplash tile, installing granite countertops, installing recessed lighting, and painting. The work was great and he finished within the timeframe he gave us. He also matched the stain for the hardwood floor with the existing hardwood floor. The closet project consisted of framing out a new closet, installing closet doors, framing out and installing cabinets above the closet for additional storage space, and painting. We have an older home, which means that remodeling projects can be complicated by unexpected or unanticipated conditions. But Stefan and his crews did a great job. We were pleased with the results when he finished, and we are still pleased a year later. Great quality, great value, and overall great service. read more

I hired Alpha House Construction to remodel the house I purchased. Unfortunately, my experience was very frustrating from start to finish. Stefan was very difficult to work with throughout the project. A large part of the battle was constantly having to argue with him because he acted like it was his home and his decisions mattered more than mine. Mid project my $800 Kohler shower head went missing. Instead of taking responsibility or helping resolve the issue, Stefan tried to blame me for it, and I ended up having to repurchase it myself. Later, when I started having issues with the plumbing work, Stefan sent his plumber out to look at it instead of coming himself. As the general contractor on the job, I expected him to personally come see the issue and take ownership of what was happening rather than passing it off to someone else. Over time, I started experiencing repeated backups, bubbling toilets, and drainage issues. After continuing to deal with these problems, I learned that the a pipe that was installed by Alpha House was back pitched and holding water and waste instead of draining properly. When the plumbing was inspected, standing water and sludge were visible in the line, but I was still told everything was normal and there was no issue by Alpha House. I trusted that advice at the time, but the problems continued. Since then, I have had three different plumbers inspect the line, and all three told me the installation was incorrect. I was told the pipe was improperly pitched and that at least one of the fittings was not installed correctly. I am now stuck paying THOUSANDS to have the piping redone because the original installation was not done properly in the first place. What is most frustrating is not just that the work appears to have been done incorrectly, but that the issue was clearly visible on camera and Stefan still dismissed my issues instead of being addressed. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Alpha House Construction. read more

Stefan and his team did an incredible job remodeling our entire kitchen, bathroom and creating an office. He and his team are perfectionists and settle for nothing but the best. Stefan is incredibly responsive and kept me up to date on the entire project. Furthermore, he did my entire condo in less than a month. He was great with dealing with my HOA and building engineer. His prices were incredibly fair. If you are thinking about doing anything with Stefan & Alpha House Construction, you're making the right choice!! read more

Stefan does great work. Would hire him again. Excellent communication. Trustworthy. I've referred him to friends.

Stefan and his crew were easy to work with. He was very communicative and honest which I'm finding is not always the case. His team completed a refresh of our basement in 2 weeks and were able to start on the project immediately. This review is long overdue and I wanted to be sure to express my appreciation for the great work they did. read more

Stefan and his company are truly remarkable. From the moment we started talking he was always positive and could do almost anything. He did prove that today when he put in a larger sink in my laundry room along with new faucet and cutting the granite! Not to mention he had to cut the insides of the base cabinet to accommodate the sink. It looks perfect and as if it were always that way. He is meticulous and respectful as well as responsive and communicates well. I highly recommend this company and will have him back to do many other construction jobs. Don't hesitate to call this company- great work at reasonable prices! read more

We had Stefan install an attic access with a ladder (not replace but install) since our builder somehow forgot to add attic access. Stefan gave a reasonable price better than the other contractors and did a fantastic job. He knew exactly how to handle problems along the way which he explained before taking any action. Will definitely follow up in the future for other projects. read more

Based on many good recommendations on Nextdoor, I called Alpha House Construct to install two oak thresholds in my kitchen and stain them. They came out beautifully and I couldn't be happier with them. Not cheap, but the work is totally professional looking and top notch. Stefan perfectly matched the stain to my existing oak floor. I love my new bathroom! A neighbor recommended Alpha House Construction, and I'm so glad I called. Stefan streamlined the permitting process for us (it's a nightmare in Oak Park) and put in a brand new bathroom on the 2nd floor, where there was previously a small dead space. The house is very old and had tons of issues from improper work in the past, but Stefan and his team navigated the challenges. His electrical subcontractors were especially impressive. The prices for all aspects of the project were also super reasonable. I would definitely recommend Alpha House! read more

It's been a good past 30 days with Andrei and Stefan (and their employees). They did the work as promised, and had to overcome some hidden issues we found along the way. We ended up adding some work for them that wasn't planned and they adjusted and got everything we requested completed. They did great work and were priced fairly. read more

Stefan has been great to work with, and his team has been ver professional. They did both inside work on my ceiling and on my roof deck. I was provided a straight-forward estimate, and the work was done with quality. read more

I reached out to this company for a tile quote. The owner asked me to send him a picture via text message to get an estimate. He sends the estimate, agrees on a time frame, asks me for pictures of the tile that so he can know what tools to bring to the job. After agreeing to these terms, he then tells me that the job (fireplace tile instillation) "is not worth it". This is extremely unprofessional to agree that you will do a job and then to just change your mind because the job "is not worth it". Be careful when dealing with Stefan. This is no way to build a business relationship with a customer. I would have just appreciated him telling me that he can't take the job instead of wasting my time sending pictures, agreeing on a date and getting a quote, just to find out that the fire place tile instillation, what he specializes in, "is not worth it for him". Such a disappointment. read more

I highly recommend Andrei and his team. Their work speaks for itself, but more than anything we appreciated that they were honest and raised any potential challenges upfront in our consultation before they started. They finished our project on time, on budget and were great to work with. We have never done a renovation project before and had selected samples for both our tile and floors. They respectfully and professionally explained why those were not a good choice for the project. We are so thankful we followed their advice because the bathroom and floors came out better than our expectations. These guys are fantastic. We won't look any further for future work we need done. read more

Alpha House Construct did a major renovation on our 3707 s.f. house. They did an amazing job! Stefan and his crew put in a new kitchen, installed 6 new bathrooms, installed new appliances and water heaters, replaced metal railing, did painting touch-up, put in GFCI and replaced all electrical cover--plates and registers. Andrei refinished all the wood floors in the entire house so they look awesome! These guys pay great attention to detail and take great pride in their work. Stefan was really great to work with! He's a great communicator and always responded quickly to all my texts. He was even good about communicating with me when I was on the other side of the world, 13 hours ahead of him. Stefan even spent extra time and effort to go to Menards so I could receive a rebate on my purchases. He did not have to do this but did it as a favor to me. I would definitely hire them again and highly recommend them! read more

We are remodeling a kitchen and removed the wall between the dining room and kitchen leaving a hole in between the rooms. This was made worse by the difference in flooring heights. The tile in the kitchen was 3/4 of an inch higher than the hardwood in the dining room. We don't have the money to refinish the hardwood right now. Andrei figured out a reasonable and good looking solution. He came when he said he would and did what he said he would for the price he estimated. He is smart and friendly. We highly recommend Andrei. read more

I have used Andrei & Stefan' s service multiple time since 2017 for multiple projects in the past (including a complete remodel due to water damage). Not only that, I have recommended them to my friends, who were going through a remodel. They landed up using Andrei & Stefan as well. Their recommendation about the choice of material spot on. Their work is immaculate and very reasonable. They have high attention to detail. Not just that, their customer service is off the charts. So much so, I do not bother with looking at other construction companies because I know I will be getting the best out of these guys. read more

Andrei and his team did a phenomenal job installing maple wood floor in our newly purchased condo unit. There were multiple obstacles we faced along the way such as uneven concrete floor, but Andrei laid out all the possible solutions and ultimately provided very genuine, professional advice. He installed baseboards as well, and trimmed doors, all to high standards. We are very pleased with the result, and will definitely hire Alpha House Contstruct Corp going forward. Taking pride in one's work is a rare quality for contract-type gigs in my experience. Not the case with Alpha House Construction, they have an amazing attention to details and can-do attitude. Even more rare they will not overcharge or try to sell you on things you don't need. I felt comfortable working without a firm contract, after dropping a bunch of additional work on Andrei. I knew he would charge a fair price, and he did! The whole crew was amazing, I had children running around the house, last-minute changes, and a move-in during construction. They were able to accommodate it all. Often times working way overtime just to meet our timelines. I have nothing but respect for their work and will use them whenever I have the need, if they'll have me again... read more

They are super to work with. The results exceeded expectations. They redid our large (5x6x7) shower. At their suggestion we added a bench. Also replaced the kitchen sink and counter, and painted the cabinets, and replaced a bathroom vanity. Several unrelated minor repairs (not in the original project) were taken care of. Cost was as proposed. Cleanup was meticulous. Most important thing is we love the makeovers of both kitchen and bathroom. read more

Reached out to Alpha House Construction for a window repair quote. The owner responded quickly and set up for Stefan to assess the next day. Andrei and Stefan both did awesome work in our condo as we were preparing to put it on the market. On two separate visits, they fixed a broken piece of hardwood flooring, repaired drywall in my ceiling, painted three rooms, and installed a new kitchen backsplash.
