Plants arrived in great condition by a friendly Joel who is working hard to change the vibe of the past. in fact, they were more established and bigger than I thought so that was nice. I'm happy and will definitely give them another go. Just keep in mind, the new owner has only been at the helm for six months versus the prior owner of 30 years so there are definitely some improvements that could be made to streamline communication etc. read more

I took a couple of days to research and read reviews on Aloha tropicals, and emailed them with a question on the size of certain plants shipped. I received a quick response, and was satisfied, so I ordered a couple of plants. I am very glad I did!!! Extremely well packed, and Very Healthy(root system and plants). They arrived in less than a week. I would just like to say thank you to Andrew and Aloha Tropicals for the well cared for additions to my garden! *Just one side note* I was notified with Confirmation of my order, but never notified of my order being shipped...they just showed up. Healthy and fast, but I had no time frame of when they would arrive so I could make sure to get them into a stable temp and environment right away. Worse customer service you can get! I purchased 5 plants from them at the Aloha Festival for $$ and one died within days of purchase. I attempted to call and email with no response. Finallyafter a second attempt, the guy Andrew Z respond with "Aloha my dear.....there is a 10 day return (which the lady and son at the festival did not tell me). He goes on to write that the plants were alive when you bought them." I sent him a response stating I wasn't informed that there was a 10 day return and that I tried to reach them before the 10 days. He didn't return my email. A ti plant was rotting from the bottom and all leaves fell off. Wish I looked at yelp first... I ordered two oleander plants and never got a confirmation email. So I called and emailed multiple times no response. Finally the plants show up. I am pleasantly surprised how big they were, but one looked like 2 sticks and doesn't have any full leaves (I can tell it's still alive because it's green on top). I sent an email on 3/5/20, 4/3/20, 6/17/20, 6/29/20, 7/9/20, 8/19/20, 9/18/20, 1/13/20, AND I called on 10/14/20 and 12/30/20. Several times I was told by "Andrew Z" that I would be refunded for the duplicate payment, BUT it is now a year later and they still have not sent a refund. This is the same as stealing. 1st time I ordered from this nursery. I want people to be aware that they do not give you a specific shipping date, do not notify you your plants have shipped, and you are not given any tracking information! That does not work for me since I live in the desert and I need to know exactly when my plants will arrive so I can watch for them. I just happened to open the front door and there they were. I don't know how long they had been on my doorstep because I enter and exit through the garage. I have ordered from many nurseries and always been given a shipping date at the time of ordering. I know plants well enough to know poor quality when I see it and at AH zero quality control is the norm. Only 2 of about 10 plants made it. The plants arrived sickly and mostly leafless. Its as if the the plants are brokered as sight unseen and shipped off to customer. I sent an email through their website to ask how long my order would take and they got back to me the next day to tell me it would be arriving that day and it did. The plants came in very moist and not dried up. The palm trees were growing perfectly in the pots they were placed in. The packaging was perfect because the palm trees did not get smashed. I agree with previous comments about DO NOT SHOP here, especially online. We ordered vines back in later November. Two vines were shipped right away, but we were told the third vine still needed rooting to develop further, and it would be shipped in about two weeks. After a threatenings email, to hire a lawyer, I finally got a response that my money would be refunded. Funny, my two voicemail messages were ignored, completely! My two previous emails were ignored completely! But threaten a with a lawyer, and POOF!! I had a response within the hour that I would get a refund. Worst customer service I've ever seen. Wish I had seen all these bad reviews before I got taken in by the company website. I was a new customer and placed two orders. Though Andy at the company admitted he owed me a credit for the first order, he refused to do it and he wanted me to open a dispute with the credit card company. The second order was charged to my card on July 6, and yet on July 13 he says he never received the order. So of course he didn't ship it, and I didn't receive it. Another dispute opened with the credit card company. I shouldn't have to invest that kind of time. If our trail of e-mails shows he admits fault on both, then why isn't he refunding my money???? See the other reviews! I had EXACTLY the same experience. (1) They took my web order; (2) they charged my credit card; (3) they did not ship ANYTHING. I followed up on the order over a month later, and "Andrew" promised to look into it and ship it (he didn't), and I eventually had to cancel my order; when I canceled, although he said (in writing) he would reverse charges, he did not, and now does not answer email (so I have disputed the charge). I regularly order plants on line and this is the WORST experience I've had (can you say "FRAUD"). Do not order from this business. read more
