Amazing selection of plants spread out along their scenic trails--wandering around felt like a little adventure! They have some indoor houseplants, herbs and veggie starters, lots of succulents and other garden plants. There's lots of plants and garden accessories available as well. WOW!!! Quite possibly the coolest nursery I've ever been to. The selection and quality were incredible !! The owner is extremely knowledgeable and a true landscape artist. She offered much guidance in suggesting plants I didn't even know existed for a particular area of my yard that I was struggling with. Whatever you are interested in, be it succulents and cacti, bromeliads, trees, ground cover, beautiful pots, traditional garden plants or house plants, she has it all and the most unusual varieties. Also, If you can't find what you are looking for, they can easily order it for you. But seriously, they have it all!! I had the BEST experience here! Honey & Kika were the most amazing & helpful workers ever! Honey greeted me with a smile right at 8am when they opened and helped me carry heavy pots and plants back and forth. Kika helped cut my plant to the right size so it could fit in the pot and even added new handles for me to make watering easier! I hardly write reviews but the experience here made my day. This was my first time coming to a nursery, I felt like I needed a change in my life and I thought I should look at some plants maybe to boost my mood. I was browsing and asked one of the workers if they had eucalyptus. He then went out of his way to cut down eucalyptus for me and since I said I was going to use it in my shower he took his free time to then assort the eucalyptus and add lavender to the bundle so that I can hang it above my shower head and it looked amazing. This made my day thinking about how thoughtful a human being can be. Trying to share that positive energy is so important and I felt that today! One of my favorite nurseries in Encinitas! I have been here a few times already after my first visit a few months ago. The entrance is a little hidden, so make sure you don't miss it. This nursery has a wide selections of plants. My favorite was the room where there was a lot of snake plants and air plants! I remember watching a video on this plant that closes when you touch it, and low & behold they sold that plant here! It is probably one of my favorite plants that I own at the moment. There is a really awesome selection of tiny succulents. My favorite were the "hairy" looking succulents. This is a great place to get cute healthy plants and start your garden! read more

What a fun little nursery to explore. Went here on a whim with the sister and niece since we became one of those people who started liking indoor plants. I mean we had plants that we inherited from our mother since she had to downsize her garden but yeah, enough about that. Anyhow, the parking lot is small and it's a little tricky at first to find. But if you can't park inside, there is outside parking immediately before you enter the small lot. As in all nurseries, it's divided into sections - indoor plants, outdoor plants, sale section, pottery sections, succulents and cacti and in the middle of it all, the cashier area. I really like that they have a lot of options for planters too. It's not just the normal clay ones but there are different sizes and patterns. Some were cute and the price was fair. I would have purchased some but I decided not to since I needed to figure out what I need at home. The indoor plants are pretty cool and nicely priced. There are some air plants are are expensive but it is after all an air plant that's the size of a large pizza. The smaller indoor plants and the cacti and succulents were pretty inexpensive. All their plants also look so healthy. There were so many that I wanted but I stopped myself at three. Overall, it's priced fairly well, there's a lot of options and the workers are pretty nice. It's a fun place to walk around and decide on which plants to hoard. Oh I mean buy. read more

She is extremely talented and gifted with design. She and her crew worked very hard and finished the majority of the "yard remodel" in remarkable time! Samantha and her staff are 2nd to none! Barrels and Branches is THE place to go for all things indoor and outdoor planting needs. Samantha has spent countless hours with us redesigning our front and backyard landscaping. She made it SOOO incredibly easy! She provided the plants and pots and planting materials, as well as hooked up irrigation lines and planted everything. Samantha was extremely patient with us and didn't mind when we kept changing our minds about plant choices and locations. I was not disappointed one bit! This business has a large selection of succulents and ground covers in smaller pots. I was guided by the staff to their succulent area, although there are nice plantings throughout the garden. They have 2", 4", and larger specimens which is what I was looking for. I found a lithops which I had only seen in pictures, as well as some nice sedums. I also found a 4" pot of String of Pearls, again, in a smaller specimen size. The garden is clean and organized. The staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this business to anyone looking to create small plantings or someone doing a landscape. read more

I just love this quaint local nursery in Encinitas. They have a big selection of succulents from 1 1/2 inches to very large ones. Great place to get ideas for projects, potting plants, even backyard furniture. The young lady who was working there was very helpful in finding just what I needed. I inquired about making a succulent/living wall and she walked me over to an example of a class they offer. She informed me to what materials I needed as well as helpful instructions. A local artist creates picture framed succulent art. I noticed they have beautiful pots at very affordable prices. The plants I purchased were reasonable.
