I've been coming to Cordova for a little over a year now and i've never seen a place locally that has quite the selection of plants they do, at such good prices. There is always something new each month (we typically come monthly because we love them)!! As typical with any other plant there can be bugs such a spiders, aphids, etc, but i've never had any large issues with infestation or having to get rid of any plants from here! They're always so nice and helpful to see what questions we have or what we need! Love you Cordova!!

Been going here since the pandemic and it never disappoints. They have wide selections of plants and reasonable prices. The owner and his dog is still as awesome as before and love this place. Please check it out, support your local owned small businesses!

This nursery is huge. So many plants, so much to see. With that said, there are many areas that felt disorganized. Example off to the side where the air plants were, it is open to customers but looks more like a work station. The plants overall just didnt look lush and healthy. Majority of the plants look like rehab plants. When i went here back in october, the plant conditions were a little better. *the pics posted with this review were from october, it does not look this way as of 2/22 They also have a selection of garden ornaments, fountains, planters, etc.

What I bought | hoya crimson | variegated string of hearts This place has great variety and selection of plants. This is one of the few spots that offers the variegated string of hearts. They also limit the amount each person can buy so each person has a chance to grab one. I like how the plant prices aren't too expensive either! Service | workers are very nice and very helpful! Parking | lot Notes | dog friendly. they have wagons for your plants/dogs

    Lovely!!

Wow what a lovely place! I really did NOT need any more plants, but since it's been a while since I visited the swap meet I decided to make the trek here. Lovely selection of small unique houseplants and also some of the largest fiddle leaves I've ever seen!!! Lovely employees! I didn't find many small planters I like despite a friend purchasing some a day before, it's possible they get stock in and quickly sell out. Happy I visited and I recommend everyone go too!

As a huge plant lover, Cordova Gardens is by far my favorite local nursery! It's like a whole forest in there and is always so much fun! Whether you're a rare plant collector or just dipping your toes into houseplants, you'll find something to love here. I've bought too many plants (especially Hoyas) from here over the past couple years but they're all still in great shape. My apartment is slowly starting to look like a miniature Cordova Gardens at this point, haha! Today I was lucky enough to find a gorgeous Monstera to bring home. It was hard not to buy a few more beauties that I saw in there too. Looking forward to my next visit!

Loved the owner. Very friendly & very attentive. More than happy to help with any questions. Love that he puts prices on most of the pots. This place is like plant heaven for me. Just strolling around the place makes me so happy. So many variety of healthy plants to choose from. They also sell a ton of different pots in every size. And even some fountains & outdoor stone furnitures. I walked out of there with a beautiful pink pinstripe calathea. It's only been a week, but it's still healthy & doing well. Can't wait to go back & add more to my growing collection.

I love this nursery!! All of the fig leaf plants made me feel like I was walking through a tropical forest. They have an awesome selection of succulents, tropical plants, ferns, and so much more! Our favorite "flower" was a cutie named Mae who just couldn't get enough pets and attention from adoring customers. It was very clean. Even the bathroom was clean and safe. It's hard for people to stay distances because they get excited so you have to be diligent yourself or just go when there is a little less traffic. Parking is horrendous in the little parking lot off of Encinitas Blvd, but they have a larger lot off the side street that makes life easier. They have tons of different water fountains and pots. It's truly an oasis. Again, it would be less of an oasis without Mae.

I really enjoyed visiting this garden. Prices weren't exactly cheap. I bought a 4" Birkin Philodendron on Saturday for $20 and it quickly started declining. Today I had enough and decided to check on its roots to see what's going on... it's a clipping potted in a 4 inch pot! ZERO roots. Zero. If it's a clipping that can be propagated- it needs to advertised and sold as that. Selling an unrooted clipping in 4 inches of soil is pure deception on their part. I'm super unhappy about it and disappointed that I even supported this business. Also, just to add... I saw some other plants I liked there that had GNARLY mealy bug infestations and spider mite infestations. The type that if you brought home would take out your entire plant collection. If you're going to go here, look thoroughly for pests and pop the plant out of its pot to check that it's actually rooted.

On the weekends my roommate and I like to get coffee and check out new nurseries & gardens. I remember one weekend we drove by this place and decided not to check it out because it looked like they only sold giant pots. THAT WAS DEFINITELY NOT THE CASE. I only found out about this place because it popped up on social media. When I looked up nurseries in Encinitas on yelp it didn't come up, I actually had to search up "Cordova Gardens." Walking into this place was really overwhelming because it extends to the back, but it was really organized. They have plants in every corner and hanging around (watch out for webs). They have the CUTEST brown worker doggo who loves scratches & pets. There was also a parrot that freaked my roommate out because as we were walking around the parrot just kept talking, saying "hey," and even started doing this type of evil laugh. Overall, I'm glad that I stumbled across this place on social media and gave it a real shot instead of just driving by it again. We will be back for sure.

Very cool place to explore, the prices range from competitive to higher than I would spend. They have an extensive offering of common and uncommon plants like the pothos, hoyas, string of things, ficus, and monsteras. I saw a really large scindapsus pictus exotica for $30 that just stole my heart. They had a fiddle leaf fig forest in the back and pots lining the perimeter of both the island of the building and outside. There's a large succulent collection outside too. Nice family owned nursery right off the 5. Check it out!

I absolutely adore this place! I drive from LA to visit this amazing nursery then just make a day trip out of it by going to San Diego afterwards. They have such a wide variety of plants with decent pricing. Customer service is great, super helpful. They often post on their IG stories of plants they have in stock. You could also always call ahead of time to check if they have specific plants. So far I've gotten a couple goodies and I can't wait to go back. Definitely also waiting on more variegated string of hearts to become available!

Love coming here to get my plants! They have a wonderful selection to choose from. We got our monstera a month ago and it already has so many new leaves growing.

This is located off of Piraeus Street that runs along the Northbound 5fwy. We entered Piraeus from Leucadia Boulevard. The commercial entrance came up first, then the regular customer entrance, thanks to their clear signs. It was mid-afternoon on a Thursday in January, so maybe that's why the nursery lot was kind of empty the further we went in. At the front area though, there were poinsettia trees still in bloom. I didn't even know that they can grow into trees (they don't last very long after the holidays in my care, lol), so I was actually fascinated to see them so big. They also had a fenced area with 2 small goats, possibly pygmy goats...so cute and friendly. Considering the cold weather, they had a good selection of healthy cacti, potted flowers and plants at reasonable prices (i.e., 4" pot of succulent $5.99, 6pk annuals/perennials $4.99). The bigger shrubs like hydrangea and hebe coed were more expensive ($26.99 and $28.99, respectively), but beautifully kept. We had no plans to garden any time soon so didn't plan on buying anything, but ended up getting some plant accessories, including a car-shaped ceramic planter that kiddo really liked, lol. Service was okay. We were the only ones there and took our time browsing, but no one asked if we needed help. The woman at the cash register wasn't rude, but not particularly friendly either.

[Parking]: The garden has a small private parking lot and there were still few parking spots available at 2:30 PM on Saturday. [Bunny Encounters & Price]: Our party booked a 30-minute bunny session ahead of our visit. For reservations, they offer a 20-minute session for $22 per person or a 30-minute session for $25 per person. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows. Reservations are recommended on weekends. [Bunny Experience]: The garden has one window counter for ordering coffee drinks and another counter for bunny sessions. Our party arrived on time, waited in line, and ended up 5 minutes late to our scheduled session. The staff instructed us not to pick up the bunnies and our party had to wear shoe covers before entering the pens. During the session, our party was able to ask the staff as many leaves as we want. Personally, I found the experience a bit underwhelming because (1) I was only able to get the bunnies' attention with leaves and (2) since visitors can't pick up the bunnies, the only activities our party could do were feeding them and watching them eat leaves. There is also a small house with baby bunnies. [Menu]: After the bunny session was over, our party walked up to the window counter and ordered coffee drinks. The top highlighted drinks include The Gardener and The Florist (ceremonial unsweetened organic matcha with rose). Iced drinks 16 oz only. They also sell pizza here. *** The Gardener (organic espresso with honey, lavender, and vanilla - iced 16 oz - $7.50): The drink tasted a bit sweeter than I would have preferred. *** The garden has a good first-date vibe, but personally this is a one-and-done spo. I was disappointed that visitors can't pick up the bunnies even if they hop onto your lap. I recommend sticking with the 20-minute session rather than the 30-minute session for the feeding and petting experience. Also the coffee drink I had was mediocre at best.
