This nursery is absolutely wonderful however IT IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, you must be licensed to shop here since it's a wholesale nursery.

We saw their big sign across the freeway when we were visiting Cal Pacific Orchid Farm, so we…read moredecided to take a peek afterwards. This is located off of Piraeus Street that runs along the Northbound 5fwy. We entered Piraeus from Leucadia Boulevard. The commercial entrance came up first, then the regular customer entrance, thanks to their clear signs. It was mid-afternoon on a Thursday in January, so maybe that's why the nursery lot was kind of empty the further we went in. At the front area though, there were poinsettia trees still in bloom. I didn't even know that they can grow into trees (they don't last very long after the holidays in my care, lol), so I was actually fascinated to see them so big. They also had a fenced area with 2 small goats, possibly pygmy goats...so cute and friendly. Considering the cold weather, they had a good selection of healthy cacti, potted flowers and plants at reasonable prices (i.e., 4" pot of succulent $5.99, 6pk annuals/perennials $4.99). The bigger shrubs like hydrangea and hebe coed were more expensive ($26.99 and $28.99, respectively), but beautifully kept. We had no plans to garden any time soon so didn't plan on buying anything, but ended up getting some plant accessories, including a car-shaped ceramic planter that kiddo really liked, lol. Service was okay. We were the only ones there and took our time browsing, but no one asked if we needed help. The woman at the cash register wasn't rude, but not particularly friendly either.

I have completely fallen in love with this gem of a nursery in Encinitas. I have been searching for…read morerare plants all over North County and have found that this has the best selection and best value for rare houe plants. This whole rack of plants came from Cordova, and not a single one can be found at any other nursery for these affordable prices (think 25%-50% of the price you'd find online). I have found several White Princess and Pink Princess Philodendron that have made exquisite gifts for the holidays. The most amazing Philodendron I found was the Jose Bueno, its leaves are easily at least 18" and I snagged it for 1/3 the online price! I have also found Swiss Cheese Monstera, as well as Thai Constellation and Albo varieties. My other amazing find has been their String of Turtles and String of Hearts, which are very rare as compared to the more typical string of pearls. The owner shared with me that he's been in business for over 38 years! He is super knowledgeable and has a vast inventory (hence the competitive pricing). The plants are all super healthy, and I've not had a single pest interloper from their collection. I have never left this nursery without finding what I was looking for. So if you're looking for presents this season (prepare to wow all of your friends and family while not breaking the bank) or want to expand on your rare house plant collection, this is your spot. Go before I buy all their plants.

I recommend making a reservation. Even on a rainy day there were people coming in. I love how the place has been updated with 3 spots to sit with the bunnies. Makes it a more intimate experience. Staff was very friendly offering booties to cover the shoes and blankets to sit on.

[Parking]: The garden has a small private parking lot and there were still few parking spots available at 2:30 PM on Saturday. [Bunny Encounters & Price]: Our party booked a 30-minute bunny session ahead of our visit. For reservations, they offer a 20-minute session for $22 per person or a 30-minute session for $25 per person. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows. Reservations are recommended on weekends. [Bunny Experience]: The garden has one window counter for ordering coffee drinks and another counter for bunny sessions. Our party arrived on time, waited in line, and ended up 5 minutes late to our scheduled session. The staff instructed us not to pick up the bunnies and our party had to wear shoe covers before entering the pens. During the session, our party was able to ask the staff as many leaves as we want. Personally, I found the experience a bit underwhelming because (1) I was only able to get the bunnies' attention with leaves and (2) since visitors can't pick up the bunnies, the only activities our party could do were feeding them and watching them eat leaves. There is also a small house with baby bunnies. [Menu]: After the bunny session was over, our party walked up to the window counter and ordered coffee drinks. The top highlighted drinks include The Gardener and The Florist (ceremonial unsweetened organic matcha with rose). Iced drinks 16 oz only. They also sell pizza here. *** The Gardener (organic espresso with honey, lavender, and vanilla - iced 16 oz - $7.50): The drink tasted a bit sweeter than I would have preferred. *** The garden has a good first-date vibe, but personally this is a one-and-done spo. I was disappointed that visitors can't pick up the bunnies even if they hop onto your lap. I recommend sticking with the 20-minute session rather than the 30-minute session for the feeding and petting experience. Also the coffee drink I had was mediocre at best.
