They claimed to be open today on the website. I drove all the way down here from Menifee and they are not open and apparently they're not open pretty regularly cause they've got a permanent sign on a gate that they can open or close that says they are closed today open tomorrow. read more

I absolutely love Vista Succulents. They have an amazing selection and unbeatable prices plus a super friendly staff!! What's not to love?? I have been getting all my succulents here for the past year, having collected a ton of "string of" plants to my favorite huge Euphorbia to some gorgeous rarer succulents like the crested cactus I found today (for $20) along with variegated bear paw. We got there at 3:00 and it was closed. Very disappointed. There's no website or number we could call to see if they were going to be open. The hours listed on yelp and google maps said they close at 4:00pm. We drove 45 minutes in traffic to get there. Total waste of time. I've been here many times with my friends and family. Update: Unfortunately, the succulents I bought here did not fare well. They were weak and diseased. Not quality care given to plants, they use the cheapest dirt and so the succulents do not get a good start. read more

Really cool spot that just opened in Vista. When I walked in, the owners greeted me and let me know the specials that they are having. They also let me know more information on how to care for certain plans and which ones work better indoors vs. outdoors. They are really personable and friendly. I recommend supporting this family owned business. They have a huge selection of succulents and have plants in a bunch of different sizes, and their prices are a lot lower than what you would find at other nurseries or specialty shops. read more

I needed to replace the scraggly succulents in three baskets in my patio. I'd been to several stores, Home Depot and Lowes, etc and the selection wasn't great and they were $8 each. I googled where to find inexpensive succulents and Vista Succulents came up and since I live in Vista, why not give them a try. I read the reviews and was encouraged. I went last Thursday, Feb 16th and WOW, I was like a kid in a candy store! Tables upon tables of healthy looking succulents and lots of varieties. I picked out 18 plants and when she rang me up, I couldn't believe how inexpensive they were. The lady was very nice and helpful and I'm happy to give her a great review. This is going to become my go to nursery for succulents! Came here on a weekday and was immediately greeted by one of the business owners. Alex was attentive to all my inquiries and gave me great suggestions based on what I was looking for. I had my toddler with me and was running around and Alex was awesome in keeping him engaged as I selected my succulents. I ordered from Vista, hoping for a good experience with a local succulents dealer. It wasn't to be. The photos on their website aren't anything like what they ship. You will see 14 petals on one succulent, but the 4" pot they send will have 4. The lovely living stones they show? I got two, and both were a grey-brown color, totally unlike the lovely photo of over 20 varied-color pieces they use to sell them. 3 of the 4 pots I ordered were complete ripoffs. They asked what they could do to make it right, but didn't offer a solution. The photos are the worst form of deliberate misadvertising. Save your money. read more

My ten-year old daughter wanted to pick out a succulent of her own and not one that was propagated from something we already had at home. I had heard about a really cool succulent nursery in another part of town, but they closed at 2:00pm that day (Sunday) and I was still sitting on the couch in my pajamas at noon, so knew that wasn't going to happen. I was pretty happy to find Vista Succulent Nursery which was much closer to home and open until 4:00pm. We used Waze to guide the drive, but ended up somewhere down another nearby street and had to switch to google maps at which point the nursery was much easier to find. Upon arrival we parked the car in a gravel parking area, grabbed our masks and headed into the greenhouse. There were plants everywhere in all sizes imaginable! As we took our time looking up and down the aisles, deciding on which treasures we wanted to take home with us, a helpful man came by to ask if we had questions or needed help which I thought was nice. We selected 3 very small plants and 3 that were a little bigger. I wasn't sure what the price of anything was, so maybe that could have been better displayed, or I just could/should have asked the man who offered help. Contactless payment was easy peasy using VenMo and the total for the 6 plants was only $9.00. It was a nice outing during this time when we are spending most waking hours sheltering in place at home. We felt safe at the nursery where everyone was dutifully wearing their masks and maintaining social distancing. We will definitely be going back! read more
