Front yard bubbler
John D.

Great selection of pots you can also have made into bubblers. They will custom make you a water bubbler from any vase/pot you select. Sweet. The staff is very friendly and willing to go out their way to take care of the customer. They have numerous types of plants, fountains and ponds to upgrade your front and backyard projects. The prices are very reasonable and every transaction is served with a smile. If your looking for modifications/ideas for your front or backyard projects this is the place to go if you're in Fallbrook. It's also not to far away from Nessy's Burgers so you can shop in a peaceful, tranquil setting then go have breakfast or lunch @ the Ness. The BBQ Shack is also close by. My wife gets into the plants and stuff. I like to eat great food. So, I started daydreaming. Hey, my wife loves the place. If the wife is happy I'm happy. Right guys. Check this place out. For real. You will be pleased with their selection.

Years ago, saying the words "Holy sh**, that's a lot of pots!" would have definitely meant I was at a different type of business. Now that A. I'm old and lame, and B. Weed is legal and there's dispensaries all over Southern California, that exclamation means I'm at a nursery/gardening store. Besides coming up with the Best. Name. Ever. for a place that sells pots, the owners definitely do a nice job with this shop. There's a great selection of shapes, styles, colors, and quality. They also do have non-pot things like benches and other items to help train plants in your yard. The customer service was really friendly, and I walked away with a few nice additions that will hopefully give me some confidence while I work towards that green thumb.

Now that we've installed the fountain I can't say enough about it. I added the copper fittings to top it off, looks awesome. Price was fair, service was excellent. I'd recommend The Madd Potter 100%.

I love everything here, always stop by when I drive past it. So many succulents and pots. Priced reasonably and everyone is always so nice.

Lucky enough to park in a street behind The Madd Potter and liked that the location is in a corner and in the 101. Very attractive pottery store with plenty of styles, from Asian to classic Mexican to more contemporary. Cool fountains, great if you have a house with a beautiful backyard, this would be a perfect shopping place. For my less than luscious balcony I got a small succulent, just could not resist, as posing with that orangutan sculpture at the entrance.

Christmas Eve day. Cash in hand to buy my wife a huge pot for one of her trees and the clerk is too busy on his cell to be bothered. Next!

This is located off of Piraeus Street that runs along the Northbound 5fwy. We entered Piraeus from Leucadia Boulevard. The commercial entrance came up first, then the regular customer entrance, thanks to their clear signs. It was mid-afternoon on a Thursday in January, so maybe that's why the nursery lot was kind of empty the further we went in. At the front area though, there were poinsettia trees still in bloom. I didn't even know that they can grow into trees (they don't last very long after the holidays in my care, lol), so I was actually fascinated to see them so big. They also had a fenced area with 2 small goats, possibly pygmy goats...so cute and friendly. Considering the cold weather, they had a good selection of healthy cacti, potted flowers and plants at reasonable prices (i.e., 4" pot of succulent $5.99, 6pk annuals/perennials $4.99). The bigger shrubs like hydrangea and hebe coed were more expensive ($26.99 and $28.99, respectively), but beautifully kept. We had no plans to garden any time soon so didn't plan on buying anything, but ended up getting some plant accessories, including a car-shaped ceramic planter that kiddo really liked, lol. Service was okay. We were the only ones there and took our time browsing, but no one asked if we needed help. The woman at the cash register wasn't rude, but not particularly friendly either.

I have completely fallen in love with this gem of a nursery in Encinitas. I have been searching for…read morerare plants all over North County and have found that this has the best selection and best value for rare houe plants. This whole rack of plants came from Cordova, and not a single one can be found at any other nursery for these affordable prices (think 25%-50% of the price you'd find online). I have found several White Princess and Pink Princess Philodendron that have made exquisite gifts for the holidays. The most amazing Philodendron I found was the Jose Bueno, its leaves are easily at least 18" and I snagged it for 1/3 the online price! I have also found Swiss Cheese Monstera, as well as Thai Constellation and Albo varieties. My other amazing find has been their String of Turtles and String of Hearts, which are very rare as compared to the more typical string of pearls. The owner shared with me that he's been in business for over 38 years! He is super knowledgeable and has a vast inventory (hence the competitive pricing). The plants are all super healthy, and I've not had a single pest interloper from their collection. I have never left this nursery without finding what I was looking for. So if you're looking for presents this season (prepare to wow all of your friends and family while not breaking the bank) or want to expand on your rare house plant collection, this is your spot. Go before I buy all their plants.

However you have to be home, they have to be in your area ect so when it was taking a bit to get some from our normal suppliers we just decided to buy some. We figured it must be better quality as well since it was a only a few miles from us and we were paying a decent price. Once it got here we did our usual thing and spread it everywhere we have open space, around our planter boxes, ect. Now that we have had it for a few months though we are feeling duped. This is the opposite of what multch is supposed to do. There are weeds everywhere in our yard. No they cannot be from before because we have always had clover here and there and hand pull knowing that some will come back. These are weeds of all types that we have never had (mallow, dandelion ect). There are also mushrooms and even nasturtium growing. I am so disappointed as now it will be pretty much impossible to get rid of all these without chemicals. So don't buy mulch here. Just get it fresh out of the tree trimmers truck.
