They gave us free run of the greenhouses, and you will find a wonderful and amazing assortment of succulents and cacti here. Far more than at a competitor in Fallbrook . . . but at $30 for a full flat of 64 pots, we saved $34 compared to the other place where we bought ten pots for $10. The entrance road to the nursery is a one-lane dirt road adjacent to a concrete driveway, and it's easy to miss, but you don't want to overlook this place if you're checking out the other succulent nurseries in the area. Not a user-friendly site. Today, Sat. Feb. 13, I tried to put in an order via San Carlos Hardware, but they told me they can't do that and I should call Moosa, so I tried to call. I got a message saying they were closed - for the CHRISTMAS holidays! Uh, I know COVID has blurred a lot of stuff, but I still know what month it is. Spent a lot of time with us to find the perfect tree. Then with install, Adam and his crew were excellent! Helped us through the positioning and he and his team worked very hard to get it absolutely perfect. I also had shopped around and visited several nurseries and priced compared trees with hiring separate for install, but I always come back to Moon Valley as there is not quite any other place like them including their guarantee which is a nice safety. Also, they do have trees at different price points even ones that are on sale and clearance if you're looking for a little bit of a deal which is a nice option.

Our plants were not as ordered and arrived strapped to a flat bed truck after we were assured they would be delivered in a box truck to protect the plants. It was not what we had ordered and the plants were damaged. We have been awaiting a 375.00 refund, which we have not received to date. There is no way I would recommend Plants of Joy.

He and his family have owned and operated in the valley for several years and are well informed on all SD agricultural issues: water, disease, pesticides.... He helped me pair the right plants together and spent a lot of time "instructing" me on handling and care. Really appreciated that. Second, it's a local business that specializes in drought and small animal-resistant plants. They have other properties in the area, and many plants growing off-site, or behind the main area - if you don't see what you're looking for, ask - they may have it. Third, I purchased my entire 1st garden here - about 120 plants. In spite of my baby green thumb, most of my plants survived, thrived and arrived pest and disease-free. Fourth, the local water district STINKS. Horakh is very aware of the problems the locals deal with and helped us find a workable solution. Fifth, their prices are on the lower side and they have a clearance section that is usually marked at 50% off.... Very good.
