For only $1 per pot . . . and just $30 for a full flat of 64 pots . . . we found a stunning array of healthy, well cared for babies to add to our collection and garden. Please disregard negative reviews from five or more years ago. They don't deserve them. The girls who work here are knowledgeable, friendly, and hard-working. They gave us free run of the greenhouses, and you will find a wonderful and amazing assortment of succulents and cacti here. Far more than at a competitor in Fallbrook . . . but at $30 for a full flat of 64 pots, we saved $34 compared to the other place where we bought ten pots for $10. The entrance road to the nursery is a one-lane dirt road adjacent to a concrete driveway, and it's easy to miss, but you don't want to overlook this place if you're checking out the other succulent nurseries in the area. I'm very happy this was our first stop.

There were so much types of succulents, cactus and ground cover plants to choose from! This family owned business was so knowledgeable about the types of plants and the prices are the best I've paid for, for these plants yet. Mind blowing...You'll have to go see for your self. Thank you for existing, I'll be telling all my friends and neighbors to visit!

We have been working with Nathan at Moon Valley Nurseries for about four months now and cannot say…read moreenough good things about him. We came in at the very beginning of landscaping a new build, which meant a blank slate and a lot of questions. Nathan took the time to walk us around the yard, show us what was available, and give us real options instead of just pointing at whatever he wanted to move that day. He was genuinely knowledgeable about the plants, what they would do in our space, and what made sense for the look we were going for. He was also friendly and understanding about our budget and our timeline, which we appreciated. We started with a variety of plants to get the project going, and we have gone back several times since for trees and shrubs. Every visit has been the same experience: good advice, no pressure, and someone who clearly enjoys what he does. Great guy to work with. If you are planning a landscape project, ask for Nathan.

FYI - If you want them to have access to what you have submitted online - you have to sign up for the promotional texts, same goes for the emails. I get a text message the same day asking me to buy something. I responded asking about the quote...nothing. I called in asking about the quote since there was no response and the gentleman on the phone was very nice and respectful. He explained that all of the submissions from potential clients go to a call center and just tend to "get lost in the oblivion". (Great. Glad some strange place had all that info I submitted.) He was able to access my name and that was it. Again, when they tell you they need you to give them permissions so that they can access what you submitted in order to help you, know that is incorrect and it's just a marketing technique to capture your information with your own permission. As NONE of the pictures or the request that I submitted were available to him. He apologized and asked me to text him with my request. I did so. I did not hear anything back so I followed up again. The gentleman seemed engaged at the time which was promising, and asked if we had a contractor or if they needed to quote all of it. I informed him we didn't have a contractor. Then the conversation went cold and no response for another day. Then I receive an email that asked me to schedule a consultation and to meet my landscape designer. Seriously? Was this a joke? No quote attached. Nothing. I replied to the email asking if there was supposed to be an attached quote - nothing. Well, I took a screenshot of the email and text it to the guy that hasn't made up his mind to whether or not my backyard is worth a quote, and asked him if it was supposed to be attached. Crickets. I responded later in the afternoon and again, nothing. Looking at the reviews, unfortunately it seems as if a lot is going on with this company at the moment. (Which may be the reason for the lack of interest in assisting?) I probably should have just read some of the more recent reviews. I called the company that is literally down the road from me. Not as convenient as I had anticipated. It's just a quote my guy. Just a quote. Like I said, I provided everything, just needed to know what would be charged to do it. Now to figure out how to revoke the permissions given to them to advertise and hopefully get a quote from another company.

I 100% support this being a scam as stated in other reviews. It was definitely a bate and switch…read morethe entire way through. We had linked up with this person 'Joy' via facebook. It seemed the prices were more reasonable than some others. When we arrived I would describe the experience as very high pressure. She comes on very strong attempting to establish a connection. The prices were also higher than expected and we were required to pay nearly 2000.00, the balance of our order upfront. We could not get information on the delivery until the day before. Our plants were not as ordered and arrived strapped to a flat bed truck after we were assured they would be delivered in a box truck to protect the plants. It was not what we had ordered and the plants were damaged. We have been awaiting a 375.00 refund, which we have not received to date. There is no way I would recommend Plants of Joy.

I found that they stock some pretty uncommon succulents and "indoor" plants, which I appreciate, because I love the rare and variegated varieties! She also mentioned that if I wanted anything that she didn't have, she could have it within a week. With orders, you can pick up, or she will deliver. Although it's preferred that you make an appointment to shop, you are still able to shop without an appointment if they are in the store. The day I shopped, I did not have an appointment.
