I was not aware of Landmark Plant based in Leucadia, but I am pleased they opened a slightly closer location, so I dropped in this week. This shop is a lot about plants, including; air plants, succulents and other hearty and dried types. Yet, it's also oriented towards eco, healthy and natural living elements as well. Some things I loved include; the 3 bag Baggu set. These are perfect for groceries. Fun bandanas. For us or our dog. Wrapping paper for versatile uses. I appreciate the sun and wildlife options. Colorful sage. Handmade to cleanse. Four metal straw sets. In silver, gold, copper and bronze. And, the "boy scents" mini candles. The scents are creative and unique. And, they come packaged. The space is aesthetically appealing from the wallpaper to the merchandising. The owner and staff is friendly and helpful. It's place to pick up a gift, wrap, and a card in one place. Love this little shop, for what it is--a boutique goods store with plants. (It's very similar to Pigment down in San Diego.) The selection of plants isn't as vast as other plant shops, which is exactly why I wouldn't call this a true plant shop--it's a lifestyle boutique. You can buy candles, teas, stuff like that. (Maybe get some Compartes chocolate from LA. Fingers crossed as that would be awesome.) The staff are always helpful, and they carry planting soil I prefer. So, I *WILL* purchase that here for sure! Planters are rather pricey, but their minimalist/boho selection is fabulous. Parking can be a nightmare--plan accordingly to go at "slow times". read more

A plant lover's paradise! Located in the beachy area of Oceanside, this adorable little shop is super fun to explore. They have their own parking lot in the front, so parking should be easy. Walking in, you're surrounded by plants of all shapes and sizes. They also have an assortment of well made, aesthetically appealing plant potters, plant accessories, and gifts. They have cards made from small businesses as well as puzzles, candles, and decorative pillows. I'm terms of plants, they have a good variety including succulents, dried flowers, rubber trees, fiddle leaf tree bushes, snake plants, and more. I really wanted a boho-chic kind of look for my new place. I was looking for a nice and tall snake plant and they had exactly what I was looking for. The store associates were very nice and answered all my questions. The only negative was that they didn't have in stock the planter I was looking for-but luckily I was able to get it from the Rising Co. which is right across the street. I was able to message their Instagram (@landmarkplantco) to ask what was in stock beforehand and they were very responsive. After I purchased my item, they gave me a voucher for 10% off my next purchase. Just wanted to say-I loved this place. I think it adds a lot of personality to the Oceanside neighborhood. I LOVE plants but I am a newbie. Like, I barely can keep my flowers alive but I'm committed. I wanted to add something to my home that I couldn't get with decor pieces and I knew that it had to be greenery. Prior to my visit I did some light research. I wanted plants that were low maintenance, can hang in my bathroom and that wouldn't kill my cats. I apologize in advance as I don't remember the owners name but OMG was she sweet as pie. I walked in and told her pretty much all of that. First time plant lady and that my biggest concern was keeping my cats alive. We walked around the shop, which is super cute, and looked around for something that would fit my wants. We looked up plants (ASPCA's website is amazing to cross check plant toxicity) talked about watering, lighting, potting, etc. We decided on a few plants that were not toxic (fern, most succulents, and a lipstick plant) and easy to maintain. They also have a potting station which was pretty cool and I thoroughly enjoyed watching her pot my babies. She is super knowledgeable, patient and best of all, she made me feel welcomed and not bothersome. I will be back for something else, I'm sure I wish this place nothing but success because they truly are gems to work with! read more

I've taken multiple friends/family here after lunch at LTH or coffee at Seaborne, both of which are right across the street. It's quite a small shop, and their selection isn't enormous - it's definitely more of a boutique than a big business. And it's a little overpriced because, again, you're paying for the boutique experience! I received a gift card from a friend and decided to head to their Oceanside location to browse. I had never been, so I didn't even know what to expect. Holy abundant plant life! I was impressed by the variety and selection of plant and the health of the plants. Not only was the store packed with plants, but it was busy with customers (in a good way). The vibe is relaxed, fresh and bright. The potting area and cashier counter is surrounded by cascading and vining pothos, ferns, and succulents. It honestly looks like something out of a magazine. I am new to being a "plant lady" and the staff was so helpful in helping me choose the right plants for my needs. They also have a variety of types and sizes of pots at very reasonable prices. I chose some small pothos because I wanted to start small to practice my burgeoning love of indoor plants. I also chose two pots And they even offered to pot and water my selections! My best friend and I went to the location in Encinitas and was referred to this location due to having more rubber plant varieties. They did not disappoint. I was floored by how amazing the store is. Plants all around but also skin care and many vases and pots. In the back there are hanging planters that look amazing. They even have a section where they photograph the plants for social media! I started out by visiting the Leucadia location and instantly fell in love with it so of course I was thrilled when I saw there was one opening up in Oceanside. I adore this location now too. There are some parking spots right in front of the store and on the side with plenty of street parking too. This store is laid out nicely with plants, pots, and goodies beautifully strewn about. LOVE this place - it's beautifully organized, the staff is extremely knowledgeable, caring and helpful. They helped my find several perfect plants for different areas of the house and the plants are thriving now. First impression I was like, wow, what a cool shop. It's got a unique selection of interesting knickknacks that you don't normally encounter in Oceanside and some healthy looking indoor plants. But, man, too bad that most of their stuff is way overpriced, including their indoor plants (I used to work at a boutique nursery, so I'm familiar with overpriced plants). What makes it worse is that the customer service here kinda stinks - like 50/50. One employee was nice in a fake kind-of-way, but the other employee we encountered was cringe-worthy and a total viber. Look, it's a retail shop and people want to check shit out, otherwise, don't leave products out on display? I hate to write so-so reviews, I wish them all the best, I really do. I wanted nothing more than to get a new plant baby to take home today and went to visit another nursery where I was greeted with the worst service and ended up walking out feeling defeated. I decided not to give up, I needed just ONE win today. As soon as I walked into landmark I was instantly relieved, the place is aesthetically pleasing. Maggie and Taylor were both very helpful. What a sweet plant shop to stumble upon! You basically walk in knowing that you're going to walk out with something. Each plant, pot, and miscellaneous things are carefully picked out. Everywhere you look, you find something adorable. The staff was so helpful and just the right amount of attentive. I bought a small fern, a pot, and a birthday card.
