Lemon butter shrimp only I'm guessing around 14$

Well the stars don't lie. Thats it. I have nothing to add other than glad we found our way up this way during our first exploratory day in the rental car on Oahu. Worth it.

My family and I were staying at an Airbnb down the road. I really wanted some shrimp and found this spot on Yelp. Our very large group ordered a variety of items. The spicy shrimp was the biggest hit. The spice was perfect and I enjoyed every bite of my meal. The truck is on the side of a store and has open seating on picnic benches. The folks working were friendly and provided great service for our large group. The food came out fresh and in a timely manner. I highly recommend a stop here and I wish I had time to go back for more.

Best spots around the island are those little stops along the highway. Usually next to a store or market. This is cash only and they have lots of different shrimp. I picky about my shrimp and usually don't like the peel and eat shrimp which has lots of flavor on the shell and nothing on the shrimp. So I ended up getting the coconut shrimp and my hubby got tempura shrimp. Lots of shrimp, cooked well and served with rice and corn. Lots of seating and lots of roadside chickens running around. Friendly, quick, flavorful !

Consistency! Aloha climbed its way to the top of my list. Ran by a super hard working humble family. First to open and last to close. Super fresh shrimp. Killer sauce #5. Wish they had a Mac salad vs the canned corn. Off the menu: #5 over noodles. (Pictured) #5 sauce with the cutlet The little engine that could. Keep it up guys! Thank you for feeding me through the years and the smiles. Mahalo.

Away from the big crowds of the Kahuku shrimp trucks is Aloha Shrimp in Hauula. It's easy to miss so keep an eye out for the blue building and food truck. There's a nice big open grassy space with shaded picnic tables to enjoy your food at. There's a few other food trucks in the area that share this eating area. They even have a little hand washing station, along with trash and recycling bins that were very well maintained. The ambiance is really chill and you may even see their resident family of chickens. We ordered the classic garlic shrimp and the spicy garlic lemon shrimp. Each plate comes with corn, a slice of pineapple, and rice with that sauce all over. Usually, if there are two versions of a dish- I usually like the spicy version better. Comparing the normal garlic butter with the spicy is so difficult because of how good the garlic butter is on it's own. The spicy has a bit of a vinegar tangy spice with a nice medium - high heat. My friend really loved the spicy one, so I ended up eating more of the regular garlic shrimp. Once you place your order, you'll get a beeper that goes off when your food is ready. For two plates, it took around 10-15 minutes. Service is very friendly and you can tell that the people here put a lot of care into their food.

My favorite shrimp spot on the island! It's about a an hour drive for me, but always worth it. I usually stop by on my way to the North Shore. The coconut shrimp is great, but the spicy garlic lemon shrimp is unmatched. The owners are super sweet and the food comes out fast every time. Highly recommend!

YES. YES. YES. Ma and Pa truck, sweet people, AMAZING food. And nature as ambience... what a dream. I love Aloha Shrimp. Everything I thought it'd be; even my daughter ate the skin of the shrimp!! No evidence left on the plate!

This use to be my favorite shrimp truck but this most recent trip here has left me slightly disappointed. They got the sauce down and it is impeccable. The spiciness is not overbearing and it is the perfect richness from the butter. The shrimp, however, was kind of mushy this time. Previously, the shrimps were plump and not mushy so maybe I came on an off day. Overall great shrimp truck to check out with an abundance of parking. Plenty of seating for dining. The workers here are always nice and are quick to pump out the food.

I was recommended to try Garlic shrimp by a lot of people on our trip to Oahu,Hawaii . I must say it's one of the most delicious food I ever had. Aloha shrimp came up on our search while traveling from Waikiki to North shore and we thought of giving it a try . It a food truck basically . The prices were reasonable and the service was quick . They greeted us with nice smile and they have a nice seating area where you can sit and enjoy your food. There are also some others fruit stands and trucks nearby ( I saw a Thai food truck right next to it ) . So you have many options in the same place if you wanna try something else however I recommend trying the garlic shrimp from Aloha Shrimp truck .

Single food truck off the side of the road on the eastern side of the island. Super unassuming but you'll see signs and their light blue truck if you follow the GPS. There are some unmarked places to park once you turn off the road -- you'll see some cars there already so you can park next to them. The Chinese couple who run this truck are so sweet. We ordered the #1 Garlic Shrimp and sat down at one of the 8 picnic tables they have outside their truck. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and drowning in butter + garlic. The rice soaked up the sauce on the shrimp, and the corn + pineapple sides were nice additions, albeit small (just one piece of sliced pineapple?). I'd come back again but I'd also be interested in trying one of the many other garlic shrimp plates in the North Shore to see how this stacks up.

Another really tasty shrimp truck! We came here after the Kualoa Ranch Tour and were excited to find they had garlic shrimp and spicy shrimp again. The spicy shrimp was really good, the sauce was divine. It came with rice, a slice of pineapple, and corn. I do prefer Jenny's shrimp truck more but the owner here was very sweet and there was a generous about of shrimp. There was also ample seating for us. Note: the forks do break very easily so try to be more gentle when you use them!

Love, love, love Aloha Shrimp! This was the very first place we ate after arriving on the island, and let me tell you--the bar was set high right from the start. The customer service was excellent. They were super patient with me while I took my time deciding what to order. The menu isn't huge, but I wanted to be sure of my choice. Their most popular items are the #1 and #5: garlic shrimp and spicy garlic shrimp, both served with rice, pineapple and corn. The food took a few minutes to prepare, but we didn't mind--it gave us a chance to take in the scenery and watch the chickens running around. When the food came out, the aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water. The shrimp was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. You really can't beat it. The garlic topping on both the shrimp and rice added even more flavor, though the corn was a bit of a letdown--cold and straight from the can. But honestly? The shrimp was so amazing, I didn't even care. In fact, it was so good that after grabbing sushi later that day, we stopped by again and picked up another plate on the way to our destination. I'm so glad we gave this food truck a try--10/10 would absolutely recommend!

Tried this truck as it was the only thing open close by. The food was ok for me. We got the garlic shrimp it came with rice and some canned corn, and a slice of pineapple. You order and then go back to pick up when called. They have covered seating on the side and parking. It's a very casual and open environment.

This year, we were determined to make it early enough to finally try the Bald Guy, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food was honestly divine. We tried the pan-fried poke, kalbi beef, furikake crusted salmon, chopped steak, and spam musubi, and every single thing was incredible. It was so good that we ended up eating here twice during our trip. Also, special shoutout to the mac and cheese because WOW... it is ridiculously good. My personal favorites were the poke, chopped steak, and kalbi beef, but truly everything we ordered was amazing. The staff was also super kind and helpful with all our questions. Just a heads up, they do sell out of certain items before closing, so definitely try to get there earlier rather than later. Cannot wait to come back!

This time I wanted to try the garlic shrimp bc I've only heard good things. My niece and her boyfriend were visiting and I wanted them to experience this food truck. They ordered a combo plate with the garlic shrimp and steak. The food was delicious. They actually rated it the best meal that had while they were on the island. That should tell ya something. The shrimp were big and cooked perfectly. Seasoned to perfection. Just the right amount of garlic and the extra sauce made for the best rice. I was happy with the quantity of shrimp too. Definitely a worth it meal in my book. I also got a teriyaki spam musubi to try. Also good. I like how they wrapped it. Just a slight variation from the ones I typically eat. Will definitely be back. I still want to try the salmon. We got in line just at the right time bc when we turned to sit down after ordering there was a long line that had formed behind us. Our food got done quickly and we sat down at the picnic tables to enjoy it. It was busy so we shared a picnic table with another family. Hopefully you don't mind doing that bc space is often limited.

I have even traveled abroad in anticipation of experiencing the local cuisine. I was originally introduced to the world of phở by a Vietnamese friend a lifetime ago. I have been exploring the variations of the iconic dish ever since. My favourite restaurant in the world is Vietnamese-owned and operated, back in Canada. While visiting the Islands, I only recently had occasion to spontaneously stop and try "Pho Vientiane," a long-time frozen-in-place food truck--secreted along the Kamehameha Hwy, Hauula - on Oahu's North Shore. I was more than pleasantly surprised by the quality and selection of Vietnamese street food this wonderful eatery was offering. The proprietors of this humble food truck were quintessentially customer service-focused. The menu options are impressively diverse, especially considering the size of the space in which they are stored and prepared. The service was impressively expedient, and the quality and generous size of the offerings were extraordinary. I was sufficiently impressed by Pho Vientiane to offer up five stars for the authentic tastes they offer. They are every bit as addictive as those I experienced when I visited South Vietnam - back in the day.
