Garlic shrimp and fries, piled high with minced garlic. Delicious!
Jon K.

My wife and I were on vacation and had already been on the island for a few days. We stopped at the "original" Keneke's but they said they didn't have any garlic shrimp. We decided to continue our counter-clockwise drive around the island and stopped at this location. There was plenty of open parking on a fairly rainy Tuesday, and there weren't many other people there. We later found out that the other people there were ordering wedding food as this place does catering as well. We ordered the garlic shrimp plate with fries to split and got a couple of drinks. I have to downgrade this place by a star due to whatever mess they had going on at the drink counter. I'm not sure exactly what it was but it looked like it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a while. Everything else about the place seemed clean though. When the food arrived, I thought they had thrown a bunch of rice over our shrimp and fries. I soon realized it was minced garlic piled high in the plate. I thought it was delicious. My wife said it was the best meal of our 12 day vacation. I strongly recommend the food, but I hope they clean up whatever was going on at the back of the drink counter.

Cheeseburger

I had been wanting to go to this establishment for a while since I'd passed it in my car, and it looked like a great local place to eat. I was not disappointed! My family and I split the Lunch Special, which includes two cheeseburgers and a drink for a very good price. I was surprised to find out that Keneke's Grill is actually an extension of a farm that operates behind the restaurant premises. My family and I, especially my son, appreciated the goats in the backyard. The food was good and had great prices. The staff were very kind to us, especially my son. The atmosphere is fantastic, embodying an old-school-diner spirit on the inside of the building and functioning as a family farm on the outside. The business also appears to be owned by a Christian family, and they sell organic food. What more can you ask for? My only gripe is that they ran out of the goat-milk soap they sell!

Dining area

The burgers are not hand made, well they don't look like they are. They look like your frozen Mays Pattie's, if you're from Hawaii you know what I'm talking about. Prices are pretty high. The service is okay. Nice country dinning inside and outside. There is a bathroom. I love the Bible verses that are hand written on the walls inside the dining area.

Cheeseburger (I added fries to it)...do NOT recommend

Left the Polynesian Cultural Center and saw what I thought was a hole in the wall...those type of places usually have amazing food. Boy was I wrong. I should have listened to previous Yelpers. The drink machine could definitely use a cleaning but that was neither here nor there. Ordered a grilled cheese, hamburger and cheeseburger to go. They charge for deluxe and although I said no onions my burger came with it anyway. One bite. That was all I needed to determine the meat was NOT fresh. It was actually a bit old. It seemed like 90s cafeteria mystery meat. In the wrapping it was actually as flat as the grilled cheese. The fries were hard and semi-burnt. And yet, I took another bite to confirm this ain't it. I didn't have a problem with all the scriptures but I do not recommend you go taste and see what they are making.

No

Whoa! Never again. I did like the kind young man working the counter and that brought out our food. I also enjoyed the animals there. As far as the food....not edible and went straight into the trash. One bite of the burger was enough and the garlic fries are mushy with mountains of raw garlic piled on. Absolutely disgusting and hideous. The place is also very dirty inside and out. The animals are adorable but their food is horrible.

Breezy open air seating that overlooks out to the sea. . First time visiting and pleasantly surprised with the Korean based cuisine! -Prime brisket tacos - not too oily and are large enough to be a meal on its own. But beware the red jalapeños, they're deadly! - Hamachi kama - good, standard sized portion and taste. - Clams and focaccia bread - bread was amazingly fluffy, light but with a nice thin crunchy crust. Clams sat in wonderful garlic butter - tho I do wish they arrived pre-chucked. - Uni pasta - served with buckwheat noodles was a nice change! It enriched the blends of flavor of the thick uni cut toppings, cream sauce, and dabbles of ikura that gave a salty burst in each bite. - Peach Makgeoli ...the sweet sparkling beverage itself is wayy overpriced and not worth it. but I love the pretty carafe and matching cups it comes in - it gave an attempted perception of looking traditional despite serving a very modernized fizzy drink -- just saying. . Good service and the restaurant was very responsive on OpenTable when I contacted them about our late arrival. It also wasn't too crowded considering it was Mother's Day. Despite the ocean breeze - food by the beach will naturally attract flies. There wasn't plenty but it took small efforts to protect our meal from unwanted landings. Overall, an experience worth driving to. (:

The tasting room is small and cozy with a super chill, welcoming vibe. Parking can be a little tricky, but once you're inside, it's worth it. I tried a bunch of beers, and there's definitely something for everyone: - Equal Parts - super light NE IPA, easy to drink and really refreshing. - Nozzle Up - a lager with a lot of flavor, I really liked this one. - Cherry Berry Pie - so good! Not too sour, not too sweet, just right. - Waikane Fruit Snack - a smoothie sour. It looked a little weird at first, with some separation, but once mixed, it was way better. I'm not usually a smoothie sour fan, but this one surprised me; not gritty like others I've had. -Paradise - this one wasn't for me, just had kind of a strange taste. The cool thing is there are tons of options to sample, and plenty of ways to take beer home, too. Overall, really fun spot with a great vibe and creative beers. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in this part of the island.

No wait for our party of 2, and we were sat immediately at a high top communal style table. It is a bar type establishment, with pour your own beers and wines on the wall. Not super noisy, but everyone was having their conversations and having a great time. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, and food walking past us looked amazing! The only difference to this establishment was instead of a server taking our order, we were instructed to go to the front podium to place the order when we were ready. We opted for the Fried Calamari with Cilantro Lime Aioli to start, and ordered the Chop Salad with Tofu and the Verde Bowl. The food came out so quickly, and we were actually surprised with the portion sizes for all the dishes. We were able to share the salad and bowl and still had enough to pack a take out box. Everything was delicious! I'm sure it can get busy on the weekends, but overall seems like a nice place to chill with good food, good drinks and good conversation. Wish we had more time to hang out!

Our server informed us that it had been off and on for the past week, but went down since Friday. Not good for only being open for a year. They only had appetizers and salads, along with their bar, which offers a wide range of beers and wine by the glass, along with cocktails. Since we were technically "working", that had to wait for another time. Our server, Erin, was so nice and apologetic, even tho it wasn't her fault. For obvious reasons it was fairly slow, for a normal Sunday lunch crowd. Since we were pressed for time, we ended up just ordering a couple of appetizers; the sausage bites and chicken. They were both tempura style battered, and served with sauce or mustard on the side. The sausage had a slight spice to it, which was nice, and it was served piping hot pot of the fryer. A fork would've been nice, but they were small enough to eat by hand, but be careful, because they're pretty tough to bite thru. The chicken bites were smaller and easier to handle, although they were a bit dry, so the ranch furikake dipping sauce helped. We were out within 20 minutes, so very fast, and I'm hoping the griddle gets repaired soon, so I can try their burgers.
