Can't beat the location - we were staying at the hotel around the corner. Apparently everyone else had the same idea as the wait seems to regularly be over an hour. The food was good - a little overcooked all around - but good prices and good food. My sister and I waited for 45 minutes for the table on Sunday morning. They opened at 7:30am and we arrived at 7:40am and tables were already full. Once we got a table though, someone comes to take your order right away. We were ready since they post the menu online now. We got our hot coffee right away and about 10 minutes later we got our food. The food was hot and delicious. It was hard to put the fork down. Food Ordered: 1. MEAT LOVER OMELETTE: yummy! It was so delicious. Packed with ham, sausage and bacon and lots of cheese. Every bite I took had a piece of meat, egg, and cheese. Each bite was mouth watering. It also came with breakfast potatoes and a slice of toast and butter. They potatoes were so crunchy and well seasoned. A must if you love meat. 2. LOBSTER EGG BENEDICT: yum! So good! They eggs were cooked perfectly and the lobster was so delicious. Not fishy at all. The English muffins were not soggy. It also comes with breakfast potatoes and a side salad. 3. I was worried that they were going to be dense and heavy to eat but somehow they were still fluffy and light. I also got the guava mimosa and it was the perfect ratio of juice to champagne. Service was super attentive and kind. I would recommend getting there early. While on vacation last month, my friends and I went Aloha Kitchen to try their breakfast with the soufflé pancakes being the highlight. We arrived around 10am on a weekday and was surprised there was no line up as we read there was always a line up. We were seated promptly and the service was friendly and quick. We ordered the coconut cream macadamia nut soufflé pancake, Eggs Benedict with Kaluapork and the Loco Moco. Everything was delicious and the portions were huge. Half way, we were full but had to made sure to eat up the soufflé pancake first as it would not be good as a take away. In the end, we took the Eggs Benedict back to the condo for breakfast the next day. Of the three items we selected to share, I liked the soufflé pancake and loco moco the most. The soufflé was light and fluffy and deceiving thinking it can be filling! The gravy on the loco moco was dark, rich and creamy and the beef done perfectly. The dining room has brightly colored walls, plentiful sunlight and an old wooden surfboard with Aloha Kitchen emblazoned across it. You can choose table and chairs or booth seating. There was one crawling by our feet under the table, and a few tables away from us, another one fell from the ceiling onto a diner's arm which startled and disturbed her. I also read Sheryl's review, spoke with her about Aloha Kitchen, and focused on the Souffle pancake that she talked about. First things first: PARKING: there are metered stalls on Hobron Lane. I also indicated the number of people in in my party, and that I didn't need a high chair. There were 2 groups ahead of me, so I only waited 15 minutes for a table. Menus and cups of water were given quickly and coffee orders were taken while we scanned the menu. I got the Papa Shrimp Pancake which was supposed to be like a crepe with shrimp, asparagus, cheese, and mushrooms. I wish I had rice instead of the crepe because the crepe's texture was odd. Maybe it needed more egg in the batter? The sauce was savory and rich. Anyway, the star of the meal was the Fruit Souffle Pancake. It was colorful and Instagramable! Wonderful find right outside of Hilton Hawaiian Village property. This quaint location is bright and inviting inside. Situated in a small street across an ABC store and souvenir shop, we stopped in to browse while waiting for our turn after putting our name on the clipboard. Never had a lobster benedict and this took the prize by far. Sweet meat with creamy hollandaise atop a slightly crisp English muffin. We ordered the coconut soufflé. It's fluffy and moist but to my surprise the soufflés sauce was cold! That took all of us off guard. We then realized, it tasted exactly like a CREAM PUFF! Best way I can describe it. It's not that it wasn't great, it was just okay really. But we did enjoy the lobster Benny's (even though the eggs were way over cooked) and the wagyu loco moco, those were delicious. The waitress gave my order to the table next to us, even after we ordered first. We were already half way done w our meal. The manager came over, apologized and gave us our plate. She was very kind. This was an adorable little hole in the wall breakfast place with some authentic/hometown ambience - just what you need while in Waikiki! The day we were there, their internet was down so it was cash only, but no biggie, and they announced this prior to seating us so that we were aware of the situation. The soufflé pancakes were not as light and jiggly as I hoped, but the fresh fruit and whipped cream toppings definitely created a delicious balance. The eggs benny with salmon was also delicious and super fresh, and the roasted potatoes were cooked to perfection - definitely the star of the show. Second time here but I guess I didn't write my review the first time so here it is for my second visit. TIME - Open Tuesday-Sunday from 7:30am to 1pm. Closed on Mondays. PARKING - Park on the street and pay the meter or go into the parking garage next door. During the week you'll find street parking. On the weekends, good luck haha WHAT TO DO - Write your name down on the piece of paper. Then just wait to the side. We came around 11:30am and the wait was about 30-45 minutes for two people. If you want to just walk right in, come 30-45 minutes before closing. It doesn't look like a lot of people come in at that time.
