I love Boba tea and have tried many Taiwanese places in major cities and can tell good from great Boba. This one has Boba tea and being a Hawaiian bbq place, my expectation was not high. I thought if it is just ok, then that's already quite good for being a Hawaiian restaurant in Visalia. So I ordered the basic Boba milk tea and wow I was pleasantly surprised. The boba was soft, perfectly textured and honey flavored. Definitely among the best - if not actually the best anywhere! We got the chicken teriyaki bowl, chicken bbq and chicken katsu. The sauce on the teriyaki is really good! Only thing it could improve is the broccoli. After a trip to Hawaii for spring break and falling in love with the food there we were excited to find this place and give it a try. Decor was very tropical, Hawaiian feeling and everyone says Aloha and Mahalo. We ordered the chicken katus, which was good although we didn't get any sauce with it. Asked for teriyaki sauce and didn't care for it as it was too sweet. My husband found from duck sauce which turned out to be amazing. We also got the Spam musubi which was a huge highlight in Hawaii but this one was not to our liking. We couldnt even pick it up to eat it without it falling apart. The one we had in Hawaii was also deep fried and out of this world. My husband ordered the sushi burrito which was delicious!! The only thing that was a little frustrating was the amount of time it took to get our orders out. We waited about 20-25 mins for our food. Coconut Aloha!! Soooooo good!! The food is good, the servers are nice though some of them still need some training in my opinion. I have a son who is super picky and i asked if the server can separate the sides that came with the meal. Our order came and it was all together in one to-go plate. The next time we came back, we hot the same girl again who took our orders. I tried to be as specific as i can this time. Today was the first time I've ordered from them since the start of the pandemic, and when I brought my order home, I noticed that there was an extra package inside my bag. I opened it and realized they had given us a face mask! It was such a surprise. Incredibly disappointed. I went in today with a friend wanting to get some boba. We were really excited because they've been closed for a while and it was our first time out since the shut down/ quarantine. I was ready for the workers to greet us with the "alohas" and the Hawaiian music playing (it's the only business in town that would play Hawaiian music). There was always a sweet hostess, who preferred to be called, Aunty Kealoha who would chat with every customer and make everyone feel so welcome and at home. The store used to have the perfect "spirit of aloha" as Aunty Kealoha would describe their exceptional customer service before Covid. We were really excited to go truly because we missed to atmosphere of feeling like we were in Hawaii. Instead, we received no greeting and to our surprise K-Pop was playing. Aunty Kealoha was absolutely nowhere to be found...What the heck??? Our customer service was cold and rushed. It was very sad and disappointing. We understood that things would be different because of the covid modified reopening but, if Kealoha would've at least still been there, I know without a doubt she would've kept the Hawaiian vibes going and the changes wouldn't have seemed so bad. I only go to Aloha Express because of their customer service and the atmosphere. I believe that Aunty Kealoha was a vital part of that. Their customer service and atmosphere was what set them apart from other businesses. Without it, Aloha Express is just like everyone else. I will be taking my business elsewhere. There are lots of boba and food options here in town so I will be going there instead until I hear that Aunty Kealoha is back in the restaurant. read more

All customers are greeted and thanked upon entering and leaving. The associates at the counter notice the smallest things on the floor and are quick to get it swept up.
