Got the aloha mix combo with beef, katsu chicken, and kalbi. The beef and kalbi were seasoned just right, unlike other Hawaiian bbq places that over-season everything. The crunch on the katsu was so satisfying. Service is friendly and the store front vibe itself is welcoming to eat in and take out! Also got the shaved ice; I would skip the shaved ice completely next time read more

If you want a taste of something close to Hawaii, I definitely recommend Aloha! We eat here every time we're in town, which u for I soy isn't often enough. But, if we're not hungry, we at least stop in for the smoothies with boba! The food is always so tasty and the Mac salad is amazing! We're always greeted with a friendly Aloha when we arrive and leave. read more

As soon as I opened the door the ladies in the front greeted me with enthusiasm and so much enthusiasm. The staff really brought the good vibes. They were then kind enough to let me sample boba. Then a cute little cat robot brought out our drinks. I am 100% going to make this a regular spot for me and my family. All around a super fun and vibrant space read more

Early dinner on a Monday, food was delicious and everything made to order. 10x better than the "big brand Hawaiian" up the road. People working were super nice and restaurant and bathrooms were spotless. Call ahead if you want it ready "super fast" since they cook everything fresh. read more

Craving Hawaiian food; but didn't feel like driving on the other side of Mooney to go to Ono. Tried here and boy was it good. We went with the Ahola mix; three meats; chicken; short ribs and beef; with rice ; cabbage and macaroni salad; was definitely enough food to share. The meat was tender and flavorful . Loved that they give you sauces already when you order to go. We even ordered the spam ; which was nice and warm too. Staff was friendly and did a good job getting meals out to patrons. They were packed when I went; was expecting to have to wait a good twenty minutes or so for my food; however it was ready in like five minutes. Cool and casual atmosphere read more

Tried their mini katsu meal with rice as well as a taro smoothie and had a great time! Very yummy, and the restaurant was a welcoming environment. Did get a bit of a laugh when I asked if they offered a dairy-free alternative to the smoothies (they do not lol) but all is good when the food is that good anyway. Would certainly recommend, it was delightful after a long 3 days in Kings Canyon. read more

I had the aloha bbq mix and a spam masubi, it was pretty good but it needed a lot of siracha sauce, without the siracha the food was kinda bland and lacking flavor. I also had a blue Hawaii boba and it was ok, though it took almost ten minutes to be brought out to me. The inside was very nice and I was enjoying the music they were playing. read more

Can't go wrong with any of their meat and rice plates. The kalbi ribs or the salmon is what I usually get. Staff is friendly, and the interior has a nice, fun vibe. read more

It's good, nothing out of this world. Can't go into insane detail, not gonna drive an hour to it to eat it. So, 3 stars for moderate. But it's not bad at all. read more

This place kind of reminds me of Ono Hawaiian. We stopped by the area because my husband's brother lives here and on our way home we were looking for a place to eat. Not sure if this is a family owned business, but the food was okay. I would definitely come back if I came in with someone, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come eat here. Nothing wrong with the food, it's actually good, it's just too similar to what I cook at home, so I probably wouldn't come here. Staff was okay. The restaurant looked clean, restrooms were clean and there were tons of people coming in and out to dine in or take food home. I even saw Uber come in and out several times. When I see this, this automatically tells me that the food is fresh all the time. If you're a fan of Ono Hawaiian then you'll like this place. Prices are pretty good and if you haven't tried it then you should definitely check this place out for yourself so you can review this place based on your own experience. read more

-Food/Price:: Food and pricing are the most important factors for me. I could eat at Aloha Express every day of the week, I like their food so much. I think the price is a little high, but not unexpected given the quality and flavor. There is an option here for every preference, and I haven't had a meal I didn't like. Fridays are my favorite because they have loco moco as a special. That is one of my comfort foods. Regarding the price, their portions are pretty hearty, so that helps make up for some of it, and it's reasonable for the amount of food, just a lot in both regards if you're not feeling extremely hungry. -Service/Ambiance:: The service is fine. Nothing really to note here. The staff are friendly and helpful enough. read more

I love getting the family meal! The portion sizes are reasonable and the food tastes amazing. The only thing holding them back from 5 stars is the portion size for the ribs, small ever after the up charge. read more

Food was ok. I'm not sure I would go again. They had a robot waiter that brought the food within 3 feet of the table. I had to get up and get it. The novelty wore off quickly. read more

Haven't ate here in a long time. My favorite dish is the loco moco, which is not on the regular menu. Hamburger steak is cooked perfect. Eggs perfect. Just enough gravy. And the macaroni salad is excellent! Inside the restaurant was super clean. Nice, bright colors. Scenes of Hawaii playing on the tv screen. Service was super quick. Workers are friendly and greet you with an "aloha" when you walk in. read more

We were in town visiting... it was late, we ordered delivery... I'm never one to leave a bad review... So I'll start with the positives... My son didn't complain about his teriyaki bowl... & the crab Rangoon weren't bad... but the Kalbi plate was not good... the rice was good (who messes up rice though?)... The pasta salad was disgusting... they gave me 3 ribs... 1 of which was essentially all fat tucked at the bottom... really?... Visalia you need to step up on your Asian food... this was garbage. read more

I stopped by for lunch around noon on a Monday and Aloha Express was completely empty inside with the exception of one other party dining at a table near the front. I placed an order for a chicken katsu entree and within ten minutes, my food was ready. Unless you have a massive appetite, one order is more than enough to split between two people. You get two large scoops of rice, a scoop of macaroni salad, and a mountain of chicken. The chicken is fried really well: it's not too oily and the breading on the chicken is very thin. The chicken itself is really most as well. This is definitely some of the best chicken katsu I've had. read more

We always get their teriyaki chicken bowl and pot stickers which are always really good and fresh. Didn't care much for their short ribs but thats just my taste. I like the fact that they close later, its hard to come by healthier food options after 8 that isn't greasy fast food. Great service, the girls are always nice and friendly, they have good portions at reasonable prices. read more

Atmosphere 6/5. Great AC, nice "island r and b music from 80s,90s, 2000s" Nice sit down booth area. Probably the nicest part about this restaurant. Food - great value, good food. We ordered $39.95 Family Meal- came with three orders of meat (the katsu portion is huge but that sauce needs an upgrade. It's too sweet and watery. Maybe just a nice worchestshire with ketchup and sugar to replace), 4 scoops rice and 4 scoops Mac salad. For three of us, we went home with another half meal worth. Shave ice- $5.99; great price, but a little strong on the syrup, but super nice set up with the mochi, fresh strawberries, and popping boba, and mixed jellies. Also, missed the lilikoi seeds in previous pictures. read more

This is by far my go to location when I'm feening for masubi's and chicken Katsu! Everything here is always fresh and hot! The cashiers are always friendly and helpful! Since this type of cuisine is pretty under represented within this local area it's a shame if you haven't given it a try yet ! You won't regret it ! I want one of these next to my place!!! When I first heard Aloha Express, I thought it was a chain since it sounds like Panda Express. Surprise! It's not everywhere in CA. One of those places that should be. Many good qualities. Starting with location; it's in a mall. This means plenty of parking and other activities to do after eating. Good working hours. A lot of places in Visalia close pretty early, but they work until 9:30 so late night people can still get some grub. Food quality is good for it's price! First, I want to mention that they serve the katsu chicken fresh (I would assume it's the same for all their other meats). I want to emphasize this because it's rare for a "fast food"-like restaurant to serve freshly cooked meat. You can tell because the meat was juicy and steamy, and it was like this for a hot 10 minutes! Also, a very nice portion size for it's price. One thing I regret is not getting their chicken combo. I didn't want to get too much food, but considering how much they gave on their regular katsu plate, I was bound to get too much food. Boba was good. They have limited selections, but their quality was pretty similar to that of a good boba shop. Again, can't speak for their specialty drinks, but the more generic drinks were refreshing. Service was pretty great (at least for those I interacted with). They were personable and thoughtful. Please note, I gave this rating thinking it was supposed to be a fast food restaurant in a dining setting. Going in with this perspective, I give the place a really strong 5-star rating. read more
