I was going for a shave ice but then I saw the pineapple smoothie being made in a pineapple and it had me at the paper umbrella. Not many Hawaiian places in the area and I'm happy I found this place. While it's not the best I had, it's not the worst either. Overall my experiences with them tend to be consistent. Every time I come here the food is just as good as the last time I came. I will say stay away from the Kalua Pork. It was extremely salty and I threw it away because the lady wouldn't allow me to exchange it for rice. I usually push myself to eat my food regardless because I'm not one to waste food but man that pork was just pure salt. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I've also had their boba here before as well and it's not too bad. Not the best but definitely not the worst. This is an average place for Hawaiian food compared to other Hawaiian places I've been too. The staff is usually pretty friendly too! read more

I'm not sure why I hadn't reviewed this place. My husband, boys and I love this place. We started going when this restaurant first opened. The pineapple smoothies in pineapples drew me in and we ordered a plate of food as well. We loved everything so much we order takeout once every month or so. We love their spam musubi and combo plates. The combos come with so much food I always share my plate with my two sons and we still have food left over. We've tried all the mains and our favorites are in between the bbq beef and the kalbi ribs. The smoothies are on the pricier side but the pineapple smoothie is totally worth it. read more

I have eaten here a couple more times. There seems to be inconsistencies with the amount of food being placed on the plate combos. Second time made up for the small sushi burrito I ordered prior. Ordered chicken katsu and mixed bbq plate next. Portion size was just right, but they did not have enough sauce dispensers for the katsu to go around [one table was hogging the only container] and the flavors were spot on. Of course, the boba drinks are good. The most recent we ordered the same plates and received less amount. Very sad and I was sad that I didn't want to argue at that point. Went there twice in less than 24 hours. They have a friendly staff that all greet you when you walk in and leave. The prices are competitive and the food quantity is great. It seems freshly made to order and within the next ten days they have a promo of picking from 2 option boba for free. Our party of 4 enjoyed our tasty food. Pros: The meat tastes great. The macaroni salad has a subtle wonderfulness to it. My wife says the smoothies are the best in town. The portions are great. Cons: I ate here so much they started knowing my name so I have to lay low for a bit before I go back. Seriously though no cons. read more

Well their online price was $59 for a medium so I thought sure I'll pay the whole thing. She never quoted a price. I looked online at my account, she charged me for two mediums and it was $164! That is 3X what I was expecting. I called and asked and she said that their online prices were old prices!!! Um not my fault and will not go back. Very rude as well! Came here for dinner on a Monday. Busy but not crowded. Ordered at the counter and they brought food to table. Table wasn't clean but I cleaned it. I had the Katsu chicken mini meal which was not mini. There was a lot of chicken and I ended up getting 3 meals out of it. It was just breaded chicken with sauce on the side. My bf got the combo meal with chicken and beef. His meat was more flavorful and also a large portion. It's all served in styrofoam though so that kinda sucks. This place is a local fave. They serve all the popular Hawaiian dishes. My favorite dish would have to be their chicken katsu combo. The place has easy parking, is clean on the inside, and has great service. Upon entering, I was quickly greeted by more than one staff member. Ordering food was an easy process too, and everything came out quickly! The food itself was delicious. I ordered a chicken katsu and enjoyed it thoroughly. The portion sizes are nice, and I ended up with leftover meat! (Always a plus.) I also ordered a milk tea with boba, and that tasted great as well. Another really nice detail is that they give you extra sauce for free. You can't even get that at chain places most of the time. This is my girlfriend and I's FAVORITE place to eat! We always get an Aloha BBQ Mix and Spam Musubi to split between the two of us. The food has always been top notch, and, if anything, the rice has been slightly undercooked ONCE out of a couple dozen visits. The chicken, beef, and short ribs are always wonderful. The macaroni is so good that we sometimes ask for an extra side so we don't have to share the one scoop that comes with the BBQ Mix. The drinks are pretty good, but don't compare to the quality of the food. The selection of colorful and flavorful drinks is very welcoming and our favorite drinks are the Taro Smoothie (for me) and the Thai Tea with no boba (for her). All that being said, a few times there has been too much taro powder/not even blending in my taro smoothie, but nothing worth knocking off a star. Awesome place :) read more

Service was okay but the greeting set up service for higher expectations. The girl at the counter took our order and when it was ready, it wasnt what we ordered. We ate it anyways. Ambiance was whatever. TVs are on, no sound, no subtitles. No music. They should think of playing Hawaiian music or some kind of music to set the atmosphere. I read a review that one guy wrote his ribs were fatty but he thought he had a big piece. I'm a Hawaiian foodie and this place was not that great. My favorite item to get are the ribs. Well, this place has ribs but whoa are they FULL of fat ...eww. It makes them even greasier and I dont know about you, but I can only bite into that fat so muh before it just totally grosses me out. The marinade was real good. They REALLY need to trim the fat. Seriously. That would make all the difference. Also it wasnt cooked all the way inside, and still really red. The mac was alright. It has way too much carrot for my liking. The carrot is so tiny and there is so much of it, the texture feels like sand when you take a bite. Now....the fountain drink selection. They have unsweetened tea but BEWARE, there is NO sweetener, not even sugar. They have sweetened tea but once you add ice it's now a real watery sweet tea. The Jamaica is super sweet but better than tea. You can choose soda and put a shot of flavor in it which I thought was cool, or have horchata. I didnt have either of those and probably wont. Customer service sucks, they cancel my order because I didn't tip them. Took them a while to make it and not only did I get my food after another customer walked in 10 mins after me. Second time I order through grub hub the driver didn't deliver my food and my order was cancel. Grub hub tried to offer me a 50% discount on my next order! Like no I didn't get my food how am I suppose to be charged for it. Driver was across the street and I tried to contact them, it's not my fault they didn't think to try to call me or nothing. Tonight I ordered from Uber eats and my order was cancel because some bull! But it's ok the food isn't all that great anyway. Heart attack and high blood pressure waiting to happen. Aloha Express is the best hawiian food I've had in the Valley! They have a beautiful restaurant as well. It really portrays the hawiian culture very well. When you walk in the restaurant you are greeted with an Aloha by all the associates! The chicken Katsu and grilled chicken plates are my favorite! So delicious!
