Awesome new nightclub in Old Town, Scottsdale. Pretty much all dubstep music but incredible vibes. The disco balls on the ceiling make it fun and it's perfect for a group of friends. Bartenders are quick given the crowds. The tables have nice couches and the service looks great! Can't wait to go back here when out in Old Town with friends!

What a gem! 50 Shades is truly THE spot to check out for a girls trip, birthday trip, or any time you want to be transported to a chic bar! Walking around the area for a bachelorette party, we decided to pop in for a quick drink. The music was sooo good and lured us right in! The seven of us were seated an elevated booth that fit us perfectly. Some of us orders cocktails, and the others the frosé (rosé slushee!). Drinks were bomb! I loved that they had other cocktails, not just wine. They even have an Arizona iced tea cocktail in the can! Although we didn't get the flights, they are served in a must-see tower/bouquet! Food is also available. Staff were welcoming and friendly! From the decor to the drinks, 50 Shades is a must! Overall, I highly recommend stopping in for a drink and some pics!

If you're in need of a cute place to take your girl gang, look no further! This place is just off the start of the Scottsdale bar scene, and is SUPER cute. The snackies were delicious and the drinks were perfection. The music was super fun, and I for sure want to come back to try their Ramen, because it also looked delicious! I wish I had taken more photos but everything was great! Super trendy space and the staff were super fun! We had the passion fruit French 75, the aperol spritz, and Tijuana mama. A must see for sure!

I really enjoyed this pop up cocktail bar! By the looks of it, the theme changes every so often so when I went it was 50 Shades of Sake, which was Asian themed. I ordered the Turtle Power and it was delicious. My absolute favorite menu item had to be the Bao Buns, they were delicious!! I will definitely keep an eye on the future themes and will be visiting again. Overall, it's a smaller place with booths and the side and one big table in the middle along with the bar area. They have cute neon signs throughout the entire bar that add to the aesthetic. A great place to have a drink!

I HIGHLY recommend making a reservation if you plan on coming here. I heard about their Christmas pop up online and wanted to try them out. When we arrived to check in, they couldn't find our reservation even though I booked it weeks in advance. They still accommodated us and it was about a 10 minute wait to be seated. The place is really small and with the music blasting it was very loud. Unless you're in a huge group you won't get a table and will get seated at one of their high top tables sitting elbow to elbow with other people listening to everyone's conversations. They had about 8 holiday drinks but were out of 2 of them which was disappointing. I ended up ordering the smores martini. It was good but wasn't very strong. They don't have a huge dinner menu and we didn't end up staying for food since we couldn't hear anything the other person was saying. I probably wouldn't come back. I loved the Christmas decor and concept. But it was way too loud and crowded if you want a sit down place.

$100 for two people. I didn't realize there was a 4% service fee on top of the tip.

Went to check out 50 shades of Rose for their Christmas Holiday Pop Up (saw it recommended by AzFoodie). When you enter it does look like the North Pole exploded in there so that was nice and the food had good flavor. Recommend the hummus for those that want to get a snack (8/10). The burger was good but nothing special (6/10), the fries and dips where my favorite parts. The reason why this dropped from a 5 star review to a 3 star review was solely due to the service. When we arrived there was no one to greet us, we walked in and headed to the bar, we had a reservation for dinner. It took a while for them to figure out what was going on and sit us. The entire time we were eating servers and staff kept coming by our table trying to remove plates it very much felt like they were trying to rush us. We ordered an appetizer, drinks and dinner. I wasn't even done with my meal by the time they came by asking us to pay. We had been at our booth for about an hour when we were told that we needed to leave because someone else had a reservation. By that point the place was super crowded and there was no other place to sit at the bar or anywhere else - we were still debating if we wanted to get another drink but felt like we were no longer welcome. Honestly wouldn't return. I think there are enough other bars with holiday decorations to check out and try in the area hopefully some where we can stay an enjoy ourselves for longer than an hour especially with a reservation. The whole point of these pop ups is to have a fun time with friends and this experience soured the fun.

I created a Yelp account just to leave this review. I went to Almost Famous in Scottsdale for the first time ever last night - a Friday night. I'm going to be 49 years old so while I still love house music and the rave scene, I haven't done the going out in Scottsdale thing for a decade, at least. I went because I have a friend visiting from out of state. They love house too. Also, we met in AA. So where do two friends who met in AA who love house music go on a Friday night? Scottsdale made no sense to me either, but we went, and OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD YOU GUYS. This place is heaven. It is my favorite place on earth. I cried twice from sheer happiness. The music is SO good. The DJ on when we got there was so good. The guy after him was so good. The main act, who I am sorry to say I had not heard of, was UNFUCKINGREAL. The music could not have been any better. If you are here for the house, Almost Famous is where it's at. Cool booth/dancefloor set up. Here's the other very surprising aspect to this - the crowd. What do you expect going out in Scottsdale? Or, what did I expect? I expected a shitty, douchey, mean-girl crowd. I expected stereotypical Scottsdale. What I got was a PLURR love-fest and i swear no one is paying me to say this. The crowd was amazing. Positive vibes, everyone was super polite, friendly, engaging, there were hugs, expressions of love (no, we weren't rolling), introductions, dancing together, women complimenting women, dudes NOT approaching or trying to run games and actually being respectful. It was wild. We met and took pictures with Sinclair/Black a.m., after. Were there a couple little mean girls who tried to do their thing? Sure, there are always those people, anywhere I guess, not just Scottsdale (tip: next time a mean girl pushes you out of your dancing spot at a house show, just try to get them to dance with you at your level and they'll leave cuz they're scared or think you're weird, or both, it doesn't matter). It was the most fun I have had in a very long time, maybe ever. Idk if this was a fluke but everything I expected from the venue and crowd last night was wrong. I expected lame music (didn't know about Black a.m., or their resident DJs) and bad vibes. Last night could not have been the opposite of all that any harder. We can't wait to go back. Thank you SO much to Almost Famous for an incredible night and creating this space that's just there for people to go be a part of anytime they want. PLURR vibes were real and I am legit telling everyone I know about the experience because I cannot STFU about it. THANK YOU everyone who contributed to last night at Almost Famous, the stars aligned and it was one for the ages. Sharing a couple pix and vids just to show the vibe and encourage people to go. You will have the most fun ever.

Cool. That's the adjective to describe 50 Shades of Rose. I love that it is located a bit off the chaos of the nightclub area (I ain't ever going back to those places. LOL!). What you are getting here are handcrafted cocktails, nice tunes, pleasant staff, and guests who seem a cut above (and nicely dressed). A suitable place to pop in for a quick drink or to reserve for a party. My only criticism of the cocktails is that they tend to lean toward the sweet side (not a fan). My Moscow Mule was great, but I sampled a few other drinks, and they were just too sugary. If you don't like sweet, stick with the wine or beer. If you like frequenting places like the W Hotel, The Beverly on Main, Second Story, or The Canal Club, 50 Shades of Rose presents an intimate neon nightclub that is perfect for you!

The passion for decoration oozes out of this hot spot- echoing a friendly bump of rhythm

Was not planning to be here for Christmas...but everything happens for a reason and landing at this is why one just needs to lean in on letting the Universe guide. We met some really cool peeps and enjoyed the great Christmas vibe! We'll be back!

    Southside
    Jasmine L.

From the moment we walked in... Elijah welcomed us in and Kate our server helped us right away. We tried the southside, sangin in the rain, the espresso martini and the hubba bubba! The espresso martini is delicious and not super sweet which I really enjoyed! The sangin in the rain was probably my favorite. Ben and Jared were hospitable, telling us what the cocktails were all about. Sasha was a great bartender and was focused in making all the drinks good. You can tell the environment is very welcoming and they care about their customers

Now I realize that the 2026 was a Summer Olympics and Curling is part of the Winter Olympics, but we didn't care Upon entry to go to the host stand and tell them what you're looking to do (activities vs bar/waiting). The space is relatively open and you can immediately see the fully stocked bar, the bowling area, the back axe throwing lanes, and the enclosed curling lanes. We opted for a package that got us unlimited games (any) for an hour. We started with curling and we didn't need any special clothes or shoes. We were lead to a lane and it's set up like shuffleboard (you can stand on either side and there's two separate color stones). There's ice where you glide your stones and you stand on rubber for traction. You can glide by hand or use a piece of equipment that is essentially a stick to help push and guide your stone. There's an attendant on duty to help any stones that are stuck or that don't make it down the lane The experience was awesome. We've always wanted to try curling, but it's difficult to find somewhere that is set up to let you do that. We were amazed that we finally tried it in a desert of all places. There are no brushes like in typical curling, but you still get a sense of the Olympic activity. The bowling was fun too, but it's a smaller version like you might see in some novelty bars. Axe throwing was that of typical ax throwing. You had a couple different sizes of axes, there's lanes and you throw at a wooden target. They had computers to input your name and keep track of points. It was sometimes difficult to stick the wooden target, but it was fun We didn't try the food or drink, but everything looked good. The staff were very helpful. It was a weekend, and it wasn't overly crowded which was nice. Overall it was a fun experience Some tips: If your stones seem to be getting stuck down the lane, ask the attendant to move you to another lane. That's what we did and it made all the difference Explore the rest of bustling Old Town Scottsdale. There's literally something for everyone, and definitely check out the Frybread Lounge for some great Native American fusion cuisine Chee

The restaurant is trendy, stylish, and undeniably cute. I especially got a kick out of the little lamps on the tables that turn red when you want a tableside martini. We aren't drinkers, but I thought it was a fun and clever touch. One thing that surprised me right away was that bread wasn't included. Instead, we were served some crunchy snacks to munch on. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I'd much rather have warm bread. It feels simpler, tastier, and more welcoming. For appetizers, we ordered the burrata and calamari. Both were tasty, but the peppers in the calamari packed a serious punch. I wish there had been a little warning about the spice level because it definitely caught me off guard. Then again, I suppose anything called "Sexy Roman" has to bring a little heat. For dinner, we shared the chicken parm and the lobster pasta. The chicken parm was decent, though I found the chicken a bit tough. The lobster pasta was flavorful and well prepared, but once again, quite spicy. At least that time we knew what we were getting into. Service was fine, but not exceptional. I was inhaling water to cool down from all the spice and had to ask for refills multiple times, which felt like an easy thing to stay ahead of. In the end, there wasn't anything terrible about the experience. The food was good, the atmosphere was fun, and the concept is unique. But between the high prices, smaller portions, and service that didn't quite match the upscale vibe, I don't think we'll be rushing back.

We were celebrating a birthday and they let us bring in a cake and were so on top of bringing us extra cutlery and dishes and even keeping the box for us in case we had leftovers. Lowlights: It's definitely a spendier meal than usual - I would come for celebrations and not just a casual dinner. I think the least worth it items are the patatas bravas because you only get six, the chicken schnitzel because it's a very small portion, the shashuka was overwhelmingly salty. Sadly, our oysters did have sand and some shell pieces in them.
