I was poorly treated at this location. The experience started off bad when she very clearly rushed me to sit down and had me walk through dirty mopping water. I then asked for bubble bath but was told that color was not good for my skin and it is better for fair skinned individual. I am a black woman for context. I then picked a different color and she proceeded to pick a color outside of the color i picked on my toes. She asked if i liked them and i told her no not really. Then she continues with try something new. My whole service was rushed and she was very aggressive the entire time. I proceeded to pay and once i got to the car i looked at my toes and they were lumpy, lifting, and had a ding. I worked up the courage to go back in and show her hoping they would be fixed. She was very defensive telling me she has done toes for 10 years and no one has ever said anything. I attempted to show her where my whole toe nail was lifting and she attempted to file it which was not the issue. She finally throws the nail file down angrily walks away from me and says if it lifts come back. I feel i was disrespected, discriminated against, and left in tears. In no way shape or form did she ever try to change something so that I was satisfied with the quality of my nail she was extremely dismissive and disrespectful. I would never recommend this place especially not to people of color as I shouldve gotten up and left when she told me the color I wanted was only good for fair skin people in 2026. I'm truly disgusted with this establishment. read more

This isn't my first time here, but it was my last due to it being a very stressful experience. My nails were filed down way too much and I'm still recovering from it a few months later. They were extremely weak and half of them were chipped shown in the pictures by 2 days later; I was out of town by then and had to get them completely removed because it was so bad. It wasn't even shaped well to begin with. The worst part though is that every person in the salon was sick, including the girl who did this (terrible) manicure, and as someone who works in a hospital I'm hypervigilant to things like people washing their hands. Kept touching her face and coughing/sneezing then touching my hands and I had to beg her to wash her hands. And I noticed the same for the other employees too. Made me realize the entire place was probably unsanitary, and on top of not listening to my request for my nails and then charging me and arm and a leg for a set that only lasted 2 days, I can definitely say I'll never be coming back. It's a shame because I did have one nice manicure once before. read more

I had never tried dip before and the manicurist explained it well to me. Lazy and rude! What happened?! Went in today for a gel manicure and eyebrow wax. Best word to describe the woman who did my nails is LAZY! Felt like she was rushing, first you shouldn't but also, there was only me and one other customer there, no one was waiting. I say she was rushing because my nails were not completely hardened, I pointed it out and she "fixed" one until I pointed out that they were all like that, so then she put a top coat and I sat down on the uv machine a couple of rounds, just to make sure. I then got my eyebrows done, she didn't ask about shape or give a mirror after, but ok. I'm done and go to the counter, a different woman rings me up, gave her my card, she gave me the receipt, so I asked if I could have my card, THIS WOMAN THROWS IT AGAINST THE COUNTER! I was shocked to say the least! I head out and when I get to my car I realize I still had some wax by my eyebrows and then looked down and my nails and realized they are so messed up. Some you can tell the color was not thick enough, and then the paint is out of the area for some, even had some paint on my finger, one of the nails feels there are little pebbles on it, and some areas were missing color. They were not painted symmetrical. I've been going here on and off for about 5 years, not a regular, but still, this place used to have quality services and customer service. My first experience was a 5 star experience. The customer service was great. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and they were busy but fit me in and did a wonderful job. I got a pedicure with regular Polish. The work was clean and lasted me three weeks! Today I came back in hopes of the same experience but I would rate this visit 3 stars. My pedicure seemed rushed and was not as clean as the first time. There was left over nail polish on my skin surrounding my toes from when my previous nail polish was taken off, the lines were not crisp and even after asking for the lines to be cleaned up they were still not that perfect finish you want when you go to get your nails done. The customer service from my nail tech was average. Another person came to check on me as my nails dried and checked me out. This person was very pleasant. read more

The first manicure I got here was a dip one and it lasted three weeks before I decided to change color! It looked great and was obviously long lasting. It was time for a new manicure and out of convenience I went to a salon in the mall. That was my first mistake. I should have known my nails were going down hill from the way that tech removed the dip. She basically just ripped the old polish off taking the healthy top layers of my nails with it. The mall manicure lasted a mere few days before chipping because she layered it so thick, maybe to compensate for my now weak nails. I should have made my way right back to Allure, but alas I went to a different salon later, again out of convenience. They gave me a better manicure but it still chipped and she also was a bit rough removing the polish. I didn't get nearly the two week wear I should have before the polish began to pull away from my nail and chips began to form. After two not so great experiences I came back here. I believe the tech who did my nails was the owner, and commented on how weak they looked, so I told her they removed the polish terribly elsewhere last time. When she took the polish off she took her time to make sure it was done the right way instead of just rushing it to make time for more clients. No cutting corners. She shaped them well, applied the polish so pristine, and made sure that they were perfect before I walked out. They also include a paraffin wax treatment every time and it feels so good! That's just the beginning. Now to the part of this whole experience that compelled me to write a 5 Star review; I noticed a few days later that the charge posted twice to my card. I think it might have been because her daughter (I think?) who was helping out in the salon ran the card. I could tell she was figuring out the machine, and by accident it charged the amount before tip, then the amount that I put down after tip. Two charges posted, one for $39 and the corrected one with tip of $47. Mistakes happen though, so before going to the card company, I called the salon to see if they could fix it. I left my name and number (owner was with a customer) and the owner called me back as soon as she was done. It was within 30 minutes. I explained and she immediately worked to remedy the problem. She removed the $39 charge, was in communication with me about the process, and even texted me a photo of the refund receipt showing that it was taken care of. Not only do they provide a great service with much better value than other salons in town, but the customer service and atmosphere is far superior. I won't be going anywhere else to get my nails done as long as I am in Annapolis. Allure is the best and their good company ethic shows. Thank you! read more

I got dip here a month ago and it lasted me a month without chipping! My nails were long and healthy enough for me to get gel which never happens. They have alot of color options to choose from! I felt bad because I was super indecisive about which color I wanted but the lady was super patient and calm. She was very gentle with my hands and the warm towels after my manicure was very nice. I also got my eyebrows done and she did an amazing job! I hesitate getting my eyebrows waxed but she was so fast and did them perfectly that I'd come here again just for my eyebrows to be done. I'm very thankful my friend introduced me here. I would give it 5 stars but the parking situation is terrible. The owner Trish has been doing my mother nails for many years and she is truly focused on customer service. I've never felt more comfortable in a nail salon. It is always clean and quite (perfect for relaxing). The pedicure massage chairs are the most comfortable of any salon I have visited. The service is really quite amazing too, a regular pedicure feels like a spa pedicure and then the spa pedicure is just unmatched. I even got lash extensions for an event and I received so many compliments on my new look that I continue to get them filled. Its always a fun relaxing experience and the prices are the best! Allure nail spa is a hidden Gem in Annapolis. Sort of hidden off of West street, it can easily be driven by if you aren't paying attention. They are open on Sunday's which in my opinion is the best day to come because of the attention they pay to detail. It's not their busiest day so it's nice and quiet. They don't have a wide range of colors for those of us who still get acrylic nails, (I would recommend bringing your own) but they have great customer service. If you've made an appointment, they are very good about starting at the proper time. I was referred to Trish who is excellent in shaping your nails exactly the way you want it. Also if you want a pedicure, I HIGHLY recommend David! Best foot massage I've ever had! He took me too a transient state of euphoria. I'd say the prices are decent for Annapolis.
