    FANTASTIC, scratch-made posole. = $2.19 a cup

A cup of scratch-made and GOOD soup is just $2.19. Obe cup = 2 1/2 full ladles! Seriously, this is the best deal on actual, real, quality fluid in Chico.

Always a great selection of food. I stop by the hospital just for the food, sometimes.

We were easy - same exact dish and drinks for us both and she recommended the steak skewer with our salad. We had the Mexican themed salad that had roasted corn in it and I died and went to heaven eating that salad. The lime dressing was sooo good. The meat was so tender and tasty. No gristle!!!! I was fully expecting some but it was perfect meat. Well flavored and perfectly cooked. Not only did our server give us the best advice, she also sent us out the door with a refill of iced tea. In this heat, that is so kind. She probably saved me from dehydration!! We had the nicest drive back to the Bay Area. We talked about coming back with our manly men. They would love this place. Chico is just as nice and less expensive than the Bay Area. I recommend visiting this lovely restaurant and brewery. I would have had the beer but I can't mix alcohol and heat that I'm not used to. So... in the immortal words of the Terminator, "I'll be back!" I am so embarrassed! I forgot to take pictures!!!! I was that bowled over!

The only thing is I wish the breading was a bit better on the chicken, but still a 10 out of 10 dish." I also admire their focus on sustainability, their seasonal menu, as well as their local partnerships. A combination of upscale but affordable and perfect for a date night. The copper accents are beautiful and the seating was comfortable. Unfortunately, it was super busy so I would recommend sitting outside for a more romantic and private ambience. My blackened salmon tacos were delicious and we cleaned off the plate within a handful of minutes. I really loved the pickled onions on the side and the crispy outside layer of the salmon pieces. Shout out to our server, kaylee for giving us as much attention as she could, despite the business!

We were promptly seated, and given a great spot near the wall-sized indoor fountain which was nice. We started with cocktails and appetizers, and they all came out quickly. We started with bread, which was excellent. We moved on to the grilled artichokes, which were also pretty special. The jalapeno aioli added to the smokiness of the grilled artichokes. We loved them. The bib salad was also a treat - nice chop, and the lardons were perfectly cooked little flavor bombs that stood up nicely to the blue cheese. We had the lobseter ravioli, and the single-layer crispy lasagne for our meals. The lobster ravioli was delicious, and the freshly made sundried tomatoes added a little extra structure to balance the plate. The single layer lasagne was really interesting. Wasn't sure what to expect, and the server said it was a little controversial, so I tried it. It came out as a large sheet - fresh spinach pasta sheets, layered with a delicious bolognese sauce, and topped with pesto and bechamel. Unconventional? Yes. Delicious? YES! I'm so glad I was feeling experimental - it was an innovative dish. Overall, we loved it. Service was very solid - attentive, without being intrusive. Perfect evening! Previous review: Dropped in here just to check it out. We came early on Thursday, and it was jumping! Got a seat at the Kitchen bar to have a few apps, and a cocktail, and had a fantastic snack and talked with some great folks in the kitchen. Pizza is fantastic wood -oven style, and the service was great. Wish I had photos - but I'll save those for the next time i visit and do a more thorough tour of the menu.

Love love LOVE this place. It took me a long time to come here because other reviews made me…read moreskeptical that I would be impressed, but I am, and this has become one of our consistent go-tos. They have absolutely NAILED their Pana Cotta. Normally, I wouldn't be a huge fan of pana cottas as it has come across to gelatin-y in the past, but I get it every time. The service is amazing. It is clear they are aiming to offer an elevated experience. That being said, it is on the longer side of a meal, and I find it much more enjoyable when I accept the leisurely pace and order an appetizer. When I do order an appetizer, the meal seems perfectly paced. Without it, it could seem a bit slow. I've loved the zucchini blossoms, calamari, and Caesar salad. (I do really like the burrata ones as well, but it's just so easy to make on your own from Trader Joes at a much lower premium.) I also love that they offer complementary focaccia, which used to be made in house. I don't believe it is now, but it is still very good. My fave dishes to get are anything with their droolworthy polenta like their chicken or veal saltimbocca (I prefer the chicken) for dinner or their chicken marsala for lunch. The chicken marsala probably is my absolute favorite, which means I HAVE to come here for their lunch sometimes, which are only Thursday and Friday. Really lovely atmosphere. I have and love to sit on their porch but no longer do because of the traffic noise. Chico designed Bruce with the traffic light right there and it's so bad - basically a raceway for meatheads in their loud trucks and motorcycles when the light turns green. Mosquitos absolutely become a problem so while I love that they sometimes put up the garage style doors/windows when the weather is nice to create a lovely indoor/outdoor experience, if you're a mosquito magnet like me, that is not the time for you to come in without mosquito protection. (One time was so bad that even though they closed it, I left with - I kid you not, I counted - no less that 18 mosquito bites on my calf.

Not bad enough to complain but really weren't up to standard based on price and description. We ordered the Special which was a pile of angel hair pasta mixed with pesto in the middle (very dry), and around that it was supposed to have chicken, asparagus, roasted garlic and heirloom tomatoes. I can't remember what else. I only found two small bites of chicken. Not worth $34. The other dish was the Chicken Picatta and the sauce was very thick, not the lighter thin sauce with capers we've become used to and green bell peppers were one of the veggies they added to the pasta. Those are so over powering to the other flavors of artichoke hearts and mushrooms. The balance of ingredients was just off for how much money they now charge. (prices have recently increased and dishes are mostly in the $28+ unless your getting the basics ie spaghetti) Don't plan to return for anything but the Caesar salad dressing!
