While the wait was longer than usual, the atmosphere was filled with joy, kindness, and a real sense of community. The staff handled the busy evening incredibly well. They consistently thanked customers for their patience, even though no one seemed bothered by the wait because we all seemed to understand and expect it. I was genuinely impressed by the positive attitude of every staff member working the Monday night event. They radiated joy and patience and never appeared stressed or short-tempered despite how busy they were. Their communication with one another was seamless, and they were just as welcoming and attentive to every customer who walked through the door. In a community that has been grieving, the environment they created tonight was truly something special. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the evening such a positive experience while supporting such an important cause. The food was delicious as always!

I highly recommend the BBQ Bakie "egg" sandwich. Sautéed onions, slightly spicy sauce, pickles, tempeh bacon, and "egg" on an English muffin...so good!! And I 1000% recommended their seasonal pumpkin cake with "cream cheese" frosting. Tastes like the real thing and is gluten-free so it's almost a cross between cake/pie. SO. FRICKEN. GOOD!! The staff are friendly, the environment's kicked-back, good quality stuff made in a little brick oven...it's awesome. Will be back again!

I must have showed up at the right time. Ordered a cortado from the gentleman who made my coffee as well, and took a seat at the window bar. First sips. Pretty good. Nicely balanced espresso. Mild citrus and floral notes with rich chocolate and brown sugar that lingers on the palate. Medium bitterness, but nice. What a great little spot. BUT then... I finished my coffee and politely asked where I could put my dirty cup, as opposed to leave it where I sat. (Welp... don't expect Dutch Bros-in your face, friendly) I asked the girl behind the counter who was annoyed I bothered her. She pointed and said over there. Which was not very apparent. So I went over in that direction and seen an empty counter. I didn't want to just set it there, so I asked an older gentleman and he nodded and pointed. No words necessary I guess. There was a cart tucked in the corner with an empty bus tub. Nothing points or says please put your dirty stuff here. But I'm going to say that's where they go. Why my question was such a bother was unknown. You guys got good coffee. But your personalities are worse than Eeyore.

Yeah, it costs a tad but it sure beats having 50 or 100 people at your home! You get use of the inside and also the outside where the beautiful gas fire bar seating area is too! Kelly who manages the cafe did an awesome job with having tables setup for our potluck food, candles on tables as well as it being beautifully decorated for the holiday season! There also is a big flat screen TV, you can hook a laptop to. I brought high quality desktop speakers to play my own music to the ongoing slide show movie I made. It worked great. Another part of the deal is that your guest purchase their wine, beer and soda there. They are reasonably priced and good quality. All I can say is if you are thinking of having a party and need a place to have it, this place is fantabulous! I can not recommend it enough! Thanks Kelly and Cabana Cafe!

The coffee and food are good, but every visit seems to involve a long wait with very little sense of urgency. The staff always appear busy with their tasks, but the customer service feels lacking. I've been in several times now, and I've yet to be greeted with a smile. It just doesn't feel like a welcoming atmosphere. On my most recent visit, I ordered the classic breakfast bagel and asked if I could pay for extra bacon and have it cooked a little crispier. I was told no because the entire sandwich is toasted together. I was a little surprised there wasn't an effort to find another solution, like crisping the bacon separately before adding it to the sandwich. It seemed like a small request that could have made a big difference in the overall customer experience. I really want this place to succeed because it's such a great addition to the neighborhood, and I'll probably continue to stop by because it's so convenient. I just hope they can improve the customer service and make guests feel a little more valued.

A Hidden Gem Inside Enloe Hospital!…read more Allspice Café is one of those rare hospital cafés that feels like a real restaurant. The food here is truly restaurant-quality -- fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The chefs are clearly talented and take pride in what they do; every entrée I've tried has been exceptional. The staff are amazing and take pride in the meals they serve to staff, patients and visitors. Even when I'm not visiting someone in the hospital, I sometimes go out of my way to stop in for lunch or dinner because it's that good. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the meals you get. If you go during lunch or dinner hours, they have a chefs menu of entrees to choose. If you go outside of these hours, they will make you a fresh grilled cheese or burger, and other items on the menu. There is also plenty of ready items to grab and go, like sandwiches and snacks. Being at a hospital can be stressful, especially when you're caring for a loved one, but the Allspice Café provides a little comfort and normalcy with every plate. It's a welcoming place to take a break, enjoy great food, and recharge. Highly recommend -- this café is a bright spot inside Enloe Hospital!
