I've been to Allied three times now, twice for a broken window and once for more intensive body work after a small crash. I've come back every time I need something done because they are a AAA certified shop, they get the job done in a timely fashion (sometimes even before schedule!), they're communicative about estimated timelines, and are thorough in their repair. I'll be coming back in the future if I need any more work done! read more

I had a very good experience at this auto body shop. Even with COVID their work is amazing! They made sure to enforce social distancing and other COVID precautions. They make sure to get the job done as fast and precise as possible. I will definitely be coming back here if I need to and will be recommending this place to my friends! Thanks again for the outstanding work! read more

I was rear ended at high speed on the freeway and my car was a mess. I selected Allied Body & Frame because they were recommended by my insurance company. At every step of the process their professionalism and customer service was outstanding. The communication was clear and frequent, and they went above and beyond every step of the way. I hope I don't have a future need for body/frame repair - but if I am certain to go back to Allied. read more

My partner suggested the Allied Body as the go to place to repair my car. While driving across from the east coast the door on my Subaru was damaged. I highly recommend this shop for their honesty, and quality. They even washed and shined my whole car. Even the old scratches are gone. The Allied Body shop really a go to place to get your car fixed. read more

I LOVE Allied Body and Frame! Here's what you can expect when you bring your car in, I've been in twice now: - Friendly, ethical, fair, and professional customer service from Peter, the owner - Peter will call Hertz to come pick you up when you drop your car off - Very reasonable prices - Top notch body work - Your car looks like it's new again - they will clean it up for you If I could give Allied more than 5 stars I would. I will only trust Allied for my bodywork. Thank you Peter and crew, you're the best! read more

I was positively impressed with every aspect of the service I received from Allied Body & Frame. I would do all of my automotive maintenance here, if I could. Thank you so much, Pete and crew. It is a great thing to have businesses such as this in the community. read more

This place is A++ in all areas - the work they do is top notch and they run their business with the highest level of professionalism - printed quotes, scheduled times that they meet to the minute and detailed explanations. They deal with the insurance company and will call Hertz down the street to come get you for a rental car. They have it all down so smooth that you are in and out in no time - zero wasted time. I am a 'troubled' driver and have been here at least 11 times in over the last 10 years and both cars have always come back from Allied looking brand new. I will never go anywhere else. read more

This place is awesome. Had a dent in the rear bumper that I thought couldn't be pulled (thats what another place told me) and went to Allied thinking I was gonna have to get a replacement bumper. But they said they could pull it and pop out that dent, and they did if for very, very cheap! It looks great. read more

At the recommendation of friends, took my less-than-one-year old car with some relatively minor rear end damage to Allied for estimate and then repair. Work done at reasonable cost. Couldn't be happier with the experience! Repair not only looks great, but (as far as attention to detailed post repair cleaning, inside and out) perhaps better that when I picked it up from the dealer! Nice job, Allied! read more

We were well taken cared of, both times when someone hit our car. They do a professional job. They are not cheap but will deal directly with insurance so you don't have to. read more

I got into a minor crash a month back, and was sent to Allied by my insurance. They did excellent work in bringing it back to showroom condition. read more

I had a great experience with Allied Body and Frame. I got rear-ended on the freeway and pushed into another car. My car was almost totaled. The back and front were completely smashed and even the sides got messed up. I took my car to Allied Body and Frame right after the accident and Dick promptly assessed the damage and the safety issues of continuing to driving the car in its condition. I had the repairs done with Allied and they did an amazing job! Dick helped me throughout the process. He was very nice and accessible, consistently answering the phone and reaching out to give me updates. He explained in detail the repairs needed and how the team was approaching them. I've had my car back for a couple weeks and it is as good as new! You would never know it was in an accident. Allied also had to repair the blind spot sensor and they brought in an outside company who specializes in this type of work. This company also did a great job as my blind spot sensor is as good as new. In addition to the excellent repairs, Dick persevered in dealing with the insurance company, which was very slow to respond and unorganized. He continued to reach out to them and made sure they covered the costs. He also negotiated with them so that they would cover the repairs (rather than totaling my car). I really appreciate his attention! He saved me from huge headaches and made sure I got my car back in excellent, safe condition. If you want a job well done and people you can trust, go to Allied Body and Frame! read more

I have used Allied twice in the past couple of years; they are GREAT! They know how to work with insurance companies and rental car agencies, so the whole process both times was smooth and painless. The crew do flawless work too. Love love love these guys! read more

Peter and his team are fantastic advocates with your insurance company, while doing perfect work. He is my go-to team for quality work.

I was involved in a fender bender and AAA sent me to Allied for the repairs. I can't say enough good things about the excellent service, Peter was most helpful and even had a couple of things repaired on the car that were already dicey, at no extra charge!! I highly recommend Allied, top notch everything. read more

Alas my 'new' car encountered a mishap and had to have its first visit to Allied Body and Frame. The first car I took here was a 1997 Jetta, this is my 2017 Mazda so 20 years of excellent service. As always it was as painless an experience as you can have in these circumstances - quick to make an appointment for evaluation, they happened to have room immediately so I was able to arrange for my rental from their waiting room, leave the car in one trip. I got a text message every day it was in the shop confirming it would be ready 'on time' which was actually 2 days earlier than the original quote. Drove up in my Hertz rental car which i was able to just leave there and have Hertz pick up so no extra arranging of rides etc. And the car looks BEAUTIFUL inside and out - like the little altercation with my badly driving neighbor never happened. As always I hope I'm never in need of their services again, but am glad they exist since chances are I will need them.... They are a AAA preferred shop so its sooo easy with the insurance. read more

I have a Subaru Outback. Peter and co. Helped repair the damaged roof back in May. The job was great. The shop kept me updated on any new progress they had, which made it easy for me to plan ahead. In a word, 5 star job ! read more

Peter and his team of body guys are excellent!! They did a great job on my work van, when I droped it off Peter was very professional and explained what needed to be done. When I picked it up the door that they had repaired was as new. I'll send all my friends here and trust Allied will completely take care of all there body and needs. Peter also put on a new bumper on for my girlfriend and the color matched perfectly, not easy to do with an 11yr old car. read more

I brought my car to Allied for a dented front fender on my new Audi. I had read the good reviews and it sounded like the place I wanted to fix my car. Let me tell you it came back like brand new, as if nothing had ever happened. Literally the car was spotless inside and out when I picked it up. I was grinning from ear to ear. I'm a business owner so I know how hard it is to provide a top notch service like this. Well Allied has nailed it. Ask for Peter he is the owner and will treat you like friend. Great work Allied! 5 stars all the way. read more

I remembered Allied from years ago when they did a small repair for me and it was an excellent job. Recently my bumper was scraped and I went back there for an estimate. Peter was so helpful that even though the insurer of the car that hit me wanted me to go to one of their recommended places, I stuck with Allied. It was the right move. They did an excellent job and even vacuumed up my grandson's "crumbs" from the back seat. It doesn't get any better than that! read more

Peter was super helpful and reasonably priced for my body repair. Thank you! read more

Peter Brisbo, the owner, and the rest of the crew did an excellent job repairing the front right passenger fender on my Topaz Blue 3 series BMW. I have had car repair work a half dozen times dating back to when I was in high school and Allied Body & Frame had always provided my repair needs in a professional matter. This shop is definitely a "keeper" and I would recommend Allied Body & Frame to anyone in a blink! If you want a paint job that is smooth like Ronald McDonald ridin' da wave....check them out! read more

They do gorgeous work here and they take pride in that. The shop is clean, the technicians are skillful and polite. The owner Pete was friendly and efficient and always kept me up to date on the progress of the repair. A huge SUV had backed in to my little two-seater car leaving a big nasty dent and the rear tail lights were broken. I couldn't believe my eyes when I picked the car up. It looked like a new car. You would never know there had ever been work done. Their location is convenient, across the street from REI in Berkeley. Few things associated with cars ever go this smoothly. I recommend this shop whole-heartedly! read more

Recently had the front bumper of our Audi replaced at Allied. Not a very difficult job, but the service was great nonetheless and Pete is, quite simply, a cool guy. Feels really different dealing with him as compared to the slick, somewhat slimy guys at some of the other body shops around. What was particularly nice was the fact that the car came back looking a lot better than when we'd dropped it off, thanks to a good quality interior and exterior wash they did. Finally, the price was right. They don't jack up their labor to fleece insurance companies, so when we came in to do work that we didn't want to put on insurance. The price was manageable and we didn't have to go through a painful negotiation. read more

This Place rocks!! When you first walk in the door, Peter is there to greet you with a smile and willing to help you. I went to a few other places for estimates and the people were cold and the prices were very high. Peter gave me a great deal! and was so kind through out the process. Plus my Toyota Camry bumper looks brand new! I would recommend this place for anyone. Can't beat the service and kindness! read more

What can I say, these guys are artists when it comes to restoring a damaged car. Peter, the owner is great to work with, communicative, patient and really takes the time to make sure your car looks just like it rolled off the assembly line when it's done. He works closely with your insurance company so you don't have to and keeps you informed every step of the process. Allied Body and Frame is a testament to true customer service. I can't recommend these guys enough! read more

High quality work by Allied Body & Frame in Berkeley, CA, to our Toyota T-100 pickup truck for rear end collision to rear bumper and body. This is my third time to choose Allied for our insurance claims repairs since 2016. Prior to 2016, we preferred Stewart's Body Shop in Richmond, CA, which also performed high quality work; however, Stewart's was overbooked and politely postponed new repair inquiries. Looking for alternative vendor, I discovered high ratings for Allied, and decided to schedule the new claim repair. Very satisfied with our choice. Owner Pete's prior career was as CSAA Insurance Claims manager. I observe his prior career experience positively reflects Pete's and office manager Dick's professional knowledgeable approach in structuring insurance claims for the hassle-free benefit of their insured customers. Allied is a CSAA Insurance approved shop which makes the experience even more effortless for CSAA insureds. Bonus, I appreciate that Hertz Local Edition Rental Car is close 3 blocks walk from Allied which is convenient to pickup/dropoff a substitute car during repairs. No car owner looks forward to unexpected accidents, but I'm confident to know Allied is an excellent first choice to call for repair. read more

My car's a magnet for dumb drivers...they love to hit it, especially on quiet residential streets. Brought my car here after I got in an accident a couple of months ago. Other party's insurance co (AAA) gave me a list of places to pick from and I chose these guys after reading their yelp reviews. I chose wisely!!! I worked with Dick who was AWESOME and kept me in the loop via email and cell of the status. Very professional, nice and cool. When I went to pick it up, I was so pleasantly shocked that they not only fixed the body damage done by the accident but other dings and scratches on my door that were already there. It was washed and clean as a whistle. Kinda makes me want to get in an accident on the other side of my car so I can get that made pretty too. The area they fixed (driver's side quarter panel, passenger door and bumper) are so nice now, the rest of my Saab looks like poopoo. It sucks to be in an accident but if u need body work done, mos def come here!!!! These guys rock!!!! read more

I have been a customer of Allied since my boyfriend recommended them to me in 2005. At that time I had a bmw with a badly damaged front fender from someone who kindly(me being sarcastic) and (anonymously being literal) smashed into as it was parked and I was asleep(sorry still a little bitter about it). Anyway I found this shop to be very clean(go figure) and the owner Peter to be very professional. That's all fine and good but what about the service? What did I know as far as I was concerned your insurance pays the shop, the shop fixes your car, the end. Well this was to be my first lesson in the In's and outs of this business and where allied gained my loyalty. I WAS(note the capital letters) insured with geico. When the adjuster came to the shop he authorized an aftermarket fender for my car, which was fine by me, but not by Peter. He argued the guy down saying that my car was a lease and needed to be returned with all factory equipment or I would be liable, of course geico didn't mention this to me. They did, however cave in and authorize the additional expense. I didn't know this to be true but I'm so thankful that Peter did because that is exactly what the dealer told me on that sad day that I returned sebastian(yes my car had a name and no I don't get out enough). Since then I have been to allied on two other occasions and have sent several family members and friends. All of which have had similar positive experiences. Thanks for everything Peter. read more

It's undeniable, having someone's poor driving result in damage to my car was really inconvenient. But at least the aggravation ended there. Peter's shop did a wonderful job and in a reasonable time. And when the other guy's insurance adjuster low-balled the repair estimate and did not cover the cost of the repair of damage that one could not see, Peter contacted that company and the repair bill was covered. Great work, great service. read more

I've done business with a lot of body shops and this one is by far the most professional. They estimated my car would take 1 week but actually finished it within 3 days. They are AAA certified and also have partnership with hertz. When I dropped my car off they called hertz for me and had me picked up. When it was time to pick up my car I was able to leave my rental here for hertz to pick it up. And when I picked my car up they gave it back to me washed and detailed! 100% recommend them and will continue to do business with them in the future. read more

This is my first review on Yelp, but the service I received from Peter and the folks at Allied Body & Frame encouraged me to sign up and post. We needed some minor body work that we were going to pay for out of or pocket. Peter was completely understanding of our needs, and walked us though the estimate in substantial detail to make sure we knew how all the costs were broken down. We felt like we were treated honestly and courteously, and we are now recommending this shop to all our friends. read more

I recently had two occasions to go to Allied for repairs. REPAIRS: Scrupulously done with great attention to detail and in a timely manner. SERVICE: Peter is kind, thorough, and prompt. He is a terrific communicator, stays in touch, handles all the wrinkles calmly, anticipates problems, and genuinely cares. What more can you ask? You really can't. A trip to a body shop due to an accident is probably not on your bucket list but Peter and his staff can make it as painless and timely as possible. read more

Thank you, Peter, at Allied Body & Frame for making my car look even better than I expected. I'm so grateful for the fantastic work your team did! read more

I have been going to Allied Body and Frame in Berkeley for over 20 years. Once, my car was totalled by an out-of-it truck driver, once I needed my hood replaced and had to work with the insurance company, and 2 other times, including the most recent visit, I needed minor bumper repair work done. I must sound like a terrible driver, but remember, this is over a 20+ years span of time. Peter Brisbo has led Allied ever since my first experience with the shop. He has consistently advised and handled my autobody repair needs well, and given me good advice about how to proceed, both with and without the use of my insurance. I trust him and respect his opinion; he has many years of experience. On top of the expertise you will find in Peter, if you go to the shop, you will see that it is clean, orderly and a quality feeling professional establishment. I will return to Allied if I need autobody work done again (but hopefully not too soon!). read more

Had the "opportunity" to use Allied Body twice this year. Both times, Peter and his crew delivered high quality work, on budget, and on time. Peter does an outstanding job of describing the work that needs to be done, and identifies potential problems that might be found once the work starts. read more

Excellent service overall. This is the second time I bring my car to Allied. In both occasions, they did an excellent job, with attention to detail and fast turnaround. The management is friendly and they suggested different options before fixing my car. Prices are reasonable. read more

My neighbor hit my car, damaging the back driver side door. A short while later, I damaged the front driver side fender backing out of a parking garage. Ugly car before, pretty car after Allied. In my experience, they were super efficient, meticulous, and did an amazing job keeping me informed about the work to be done, costs, timing, etc. The repairs are very high quality, especially the paint matching and the quality of the paint finish - matches my 4 year faded finish perfectly! I can tell you with full confidence that these folks are a great option. read more

Allied Body & Frame, Take Two. Some noodle head in the Trader Joe's parking hit my car and ran, leaving me holding the bag, or rather, the dent. Left rear door. Didn't look so bad but the damage was on the rear leading edge which is factory-formed with a crease over the wheel well. Required a subtle (read: pricier than my deductible) repair. So, back to Pete Prisbo's Allied Body & Frame which earned an earlier five-star rating from me for replacing my entire rear bumper. And again, I'm thrilled with the work and the service. Allied has earned ten stars from me now, and it's no accident (get it?). They do great work on purpose. read more

I just used Allied to replace my Toyota Corolla's front bumper and headlight after my car was hit while parked. It was extra stressful to have to deal with the other driver's insurance company, leave my car for a few days, deal with a rental car company, etc. But Peter is experienced with this and made it so much easier. He has a relationship with near-by rental companies and called them to pick me up and then let me drop the rental at his shop when I picked up my car, saving me a lot of time. (The woman who rented me the car at Hertz was also extremely helpful.) The work looks great and my car was cleaner when I picked it up than when I dropped it off. (We had used Allied about 10 years ago to repair the dashboard of our Toyota wagon after a break-in, and that work was excellent, too.) Highly recommended! read more
